The pick from our Riad was prompt as promised at 7 AM. There was only one other family in our van besides us. It can be a long day because of the 4 hour journey especially through the Atlas mountains. Breakfast was good at the restaurant we stopped in the morning that was part of this package. Our tour guide, Ismail kept it lively giving information about Morocco. Seeing the movie sets in Ouarzazate and the historical site of Ait Ben Haddou made the long drive worth it. The restaurant recommended by our guide for lunch was reasonable and clean. We were dropped off at our Riad by 8:45 PM. Overall, it was as great day trip from Marrakech and something that should be seen while visiting Morocco.

Highlights our guide Abdul had a great positive outlook on life and was super observant picking out things you could easily have missed like hidden palaces, cows riding on top of trucks and the sand castles of Ait Ben Haddou tour of Ouarzazate casbah views of the beautiful Atlas Mountains as we rode up and over them no random stops in random gift shops owned by friends breakfast with second helpings and again nice views from the mountains kept well hydrated by our guides and taking toilet breaks not an issue door to door pick up drop off language wasnt an issue, perfect English spoken great communication to arrange pick up time Friendly and light hearted Abdul and our expert driver made a 3 hour winding drive up and over the beautiful Atlas Mountains to the world heritage sand castles of Ait Ben Haddou and real casbah/ fake movie sets of Ouarzazate a relaxing and enjoyable experience! My pick up was well communicated well in advance and set for 06:20 and I was back by 9pm after a packed day

Fantastic trip.

It was a long day by seeing the Castle and the movie museum in Ouarzazate. Both were very interest and our guide was wonderful, fun and very well spoken. I learned more about the area then I knew going in. The Air Ben Haddou was stunning. I loved walking around the grounds and taking in the views. The lunch stop was a delicious traditional meal and did not cost to much.

I chose this company as a result of the excellent reviews it already had. I was picked up just outside my Riad by Abdul very promptly in the morning for our early start. This company only takes a maximum of 8 people in its vehicle on a tour which made it a very intimate, enjoyable and personal experience I have been on a tour with another company where they had 2 van loads, near enough 40 people taken on a tour with 1 guide and would not recommend this. The views en route we had to pass through the high atlas mountains and many Berber villages were spectacular and breath taking and even though pictures do not do it any justice, Abdul had stopped at many points so we could take many photos. He's also very good at taking pics so dont worry if you are solo like me, you'll have many pics with you in them! We stopped for breakfast which was very much needed and had coffee, tea, omelette, bread, olive oil tasted really good in particular and olives and then were back on the road again. We finally arrived at the film studio which was a fun experience and then also had a tour of Taourirt Kasbah which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Our next stop was Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and my personal favourite location out of the three, you really have a sense of being transported back in time here and although there are quite a few tourists, its amazing how time had just stood still there. We had then stopped off for lunch at a restaurant to refuel for a hearty lunch. And then were back on the road again. The scenery on the way back was again more beautiful as it was later in the afternoon and the lighting had changed. Again Abdul gave us many photo opportunities and made lots of stops so we could capture the best views. Time for another refreshment stop for orange juice and once again sat taking in the wonderful views as the sunsets. Abdul had made the trip and tour such a wonderful experience. His knowledge of the country, the sites, the scenes are incomparable. He has such passion and enthusiasm in what he does that he wants you to have the best experience. At no point were we ever rushed. just made to relax and enjoy and soak up everything that we see and do. I would highly recommend this company, don't book with any other company and waste your money!

We had a fabulous time and our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out lots of really interesting sites as we were travelling. Experiencing snow in the mountains was amazing. The trip was really comfortable in a small group.

We had a wonderful and adventurous day - we were fortunate enough to see rain, snow and sun all in one day. Ait Ben Haddou is an authentic experience, beautiful, mysterious and relaxed. Abdul is very knowledgeable about sites, geology as well as the culture in ancient and modern Marokko. Enjoy!

Big high 5 for our Guide/driver Abdul. Pick up at 6am, drop off 8pm. Always courteous, friendly. Super driving skills, snow storm and bad visibility over the pass. Then taking over in Ait Ben Haddou as tourguide and accompanying the ladies back to someone shops. Huge knowledge about Morocco and never a dull moment. Shokran and all the best

Outstanding day trip from Marrakech, our guide Ismail made all the difference here. He was fun, knowledgeable, and made our first day in Morocco very welcoming. If you have a week or just 2/3 days in Marrakech this trip will give you great insight into the history and culture of the area.

I highly recommend this tour! I went as a solo traveler and there was only five of us total in the group which kept logistics easy and made the tour very personal and intimate. Ouarzazate including the tour of the Cinema Museum and the Kasbah is lovely but the real gem is Ait Ben Haddou. The weather had been kind of cloudy all day and then it absolutely poured when we got to Ait Ben Haddou which is apparently very rare. However, our tour guide switched the itinerary another perk of having a small group and we went to have lunch first before trying for Ait Ben Haddou again. It was a perfect idea because the rain passed through and the skies and scenery were absolutely stunning afterwards with crystal blue skies and all the dust having been washed away. Speaking of our guide, what a treat! He was incredibly friendly and knowledgable and maintained a great rapport with all the guests for the entire day. The only thing that I would note for other travelers is that pickup time is early 6am but it makes sense given the long-drive ahead and leaving early helps to avoid the big trucks on the mountain roads. The mountain road itself is safe but long and twisty about 4 hours which can affect those prone to motion sickness. Other than that, it was a great tour and well-worth the time!

Excellent tour guide ( Ismail) , fluent in English good sense of humour. Beautiful sites worth visiting. May be should consider two days trip as it very exhausting in one day as it is 4 hours drive each way.

A wonderful trip with the amazing Ismail, our guide. A fascinating day away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech into the serene and stunning High Atlas mountains followed by a trip to the ancient towns of Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou, so often used in the movies as a backdrop that takes you to times gone by. Highly recommended.

We couldn't make this trip as snow bounds roads prevented access through the Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate. However, Abdul called us the evening before and we ventured instead to the old coastal town of Essourria, where Aziz gave us a good insight into the history of the Portuguese defences, the fishing port and amazingly, old Jewish, Muslim and catholic houses right next to each other. This doesn't help with this advertised trip but the alternative was also arranged with Abdul of Morocco Inspiring Tours whom I give 5 stars for organisation, politeness and knowledge when asked. On our next and last day, we had nothing arranged so Abdul drove us round Marrakech, taking us to the 2 Palaces, the Saadien Tombs, the YSL museum and the Jardins Majorelle, before taking us directly to the airport. Service doesn't really get better than that. Apologies that the first 3 photos I post here relate to a previous trip.

Long but very enjoyable day. Ishmail was an excellent driver and guide. The transport was extremely comfortable and the trip was one we will remember fondly. The local guide Mohammed at Oaurzazate was laid back and informative - really excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed his tour of the cinema museum and the Kasbah. Ait Ben Haddou was amazing. We will have to dig out all the films that it has featured in. The Atlas mountains were stunning. Snow capped on a beautiful bright day. Our first visit to Morocco and this trip has made us really keen to return and explore some more. It was nice to meet up with our fellow travellers on the trip. Well done and thank you Ishmail for a wonderful informative experience.

Fantastic tour, very well organized. The viewpoints were beautiful and overall it was a great experience. Abdul was a terrific tour guide! He was very well informed, personable, and organized. Caution for those who get motion sickness, bring your Dramamine. There are quite a few twists and turns through the mountains.

We went as a family of six adults. Viator was flexible in scheduling due to weather. The bus was very nice. Our driver was great. The trip itself was was a challenge due to bad mountain weather, but or driver was very careful. Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou are well worth the trip. Very glad we booked the trip. Viator was easy to work with and professional. We would use them again.

The best tour I had in Morocco. It is very long, but you see so much and is completely worth it. Extremely professional guides as well who speak various languages! Landscapes and scenery were stunning!

I had been wanting to see this part of Morocco since I saw the film Babel in 2006. Part of this tour takes you to the Hollywood of Morocco, the town of Ouarzazate, where we had a great tour of the cinema museum. I was impressed with their collection of old film equipment. Then we went across the street to see the amazing kasbah, and our guide for this portion of the tour was with the amazing Mohamed. He shared a lot of detail and answered all questions. From there, we went to the amazing city of Ait Ben Haddou, which looks like something out of a movie set. We walked to the top and had a great view of the valley. After, we had lunch at our expense before heading back to Marrakech. It was a long day in the car but our guide and driver, Abdoul, was amazing! Not only was he a great driver, driving over the high mountain passes with finesse, but he was super nice and very knowledgeable. He had great advice and was funny too, and made for a very enjoyable day. I would highly recommend this tour! It's very unique, you see some beautiful things outside of the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, and Abdoul is an incredible guide and person.

This was a fantastic tour. Our guide/driver Ishmael was competent and delightful. Sure, you can get a cheaper trip arranged once you arrive in Marrakesh, but I would rather have an official driver approved by Viator as we are driving along the cliffs of the Atlas Mountains in the early morning and late evening. Ait Ben Haddou is one of the two coolest things I got to experience on my recent trip to Morocco. The guide made the trip truely rewarding.

Our driver Ismail just made the day great, with his smiles, stories and friendliness! The places we saw were magical too and the day couldnt have been any better!

Excellent day trip! The tour provides everything in ads maybe more. It is not easy to take it for a day but Abdul is a great guide and makes it happen. If you are staying for a few days this is the best way to do it.

I was extremely happy with this tour, run by Inspiring Morocco Tours, which was outstanding in every way. Even though it is a long drive there and back, the SUV was spotless and comfortable 4 participants only. We made several stops for breaks and photographs of the magnificent scenery and traditional villages along the way. We spent just the right amount of time at each tour location: the Cinema Museum and beautiful Kasbah Taurirt in Ouarzazate and on to the amazing Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou with very good quality lunch at a restaurant terrace with a great view of the Kasbah. Our guide Abdul, one of two brothers who run Inspiring Morocco Tours, couldn't have been more pleasant, informative and attentive. I had an injured knee and he went out of his way to be genuinely helpful and kind to me, never rushing and assisting me up and down the steep stairs when necessary. This is a very well run tour to incredibly beautiful and exotic locations and worth every penny. A truly wonderful experience not to be missed!
