Wow, what a great tour with a fantastic guide, DJ. This tour is a must for anyone visiting Amsterdam and enjoys learning about the local culture through food. During our 2.5 hours we walked through the Jordaan District and learned about the history of the area and it's merchants. It is obvious DJ is very knowledgeable and proud of his city. We enjoyed the best apple pie we've ever eaten from a place that has been in business since the 1600's. We visited a cheese shop and sampled 3 distinct types of cheese, a butcher in business since the 1890's, we had traditional herring as well as Genever (a old time fisherman's gin). A few more stops and samples kept us full and happy for the rest of the day. If you can request a tour with DJ do it. You won't be disappointed. Your new friends from Florida, Frank, Sharon and Sydney

Renee was an awesome guide who was very knowledgeable about the history and the food that makes up this neighborhood. It was a pleasure to have him as a guide and hope to have a guide as good as him next time I go on another food tour!

It was an amazing walking tour with many interesting facts about Jordaan. We had many delightful food tastings and were amazed at the quality of the food and the delicatessens. Rose was the perfect hostess explaining all the food and drinks on our tour. She is a very charming and knowledgeable lady. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Guide (DJ) was very knowledgable not only regarding the food but also the neighborhood. Food selections were excellent and the tour group was very responsive. Would highly recommend this tour.

This was one of the best food tours we've ever done. A great way to learn about the culture of Amsterdam.

We loved our tour guide, Ruby, and thoroughly enjoyed all the foods that were offered to us on this tour! Go hungry and have an open mind. You will try the herring, offered with some onions and pickles and tulip vodka. Start off with an apple cake with whipped cream, then onto another cafe for cheese and sausage, stop at another place for some chicken satay; another place for herring and tulip vodka and then another place gin (Genever) and amsterdam pancakes and yet another place for a stroopwafel. Everything had it's own dutch name, but I really can't pronounce or spell any of them other than the stroopwafel! Also, learned some other history of the this tour as we strolled along the streets in the Jordaan district.

Very enjoyable amble around the Jordaan district. We sampled all kinds of lovely foods, cheeses, meats, waffles and pancakes. Aileen was a lovely hostess and had masses of interesting facts about the area and Amsterdam in general.

One of the best food tours we have done anywhere in the world. Our guide was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this one!

We had Estefan as our guide and he was fantastic. Great history of the city and the places that we went to. We had 8 stops with about 17 different foods/drinks to try. Plenty of food, you will not be hungry after this tour. We used all 4 hours plus some extra. All the stops were ready for us and they put out their best foods. We always do a food tour in each new city, this ranks as one of the best!!

This was a wonderful tour and our guide was terrific. He provided great local knowledge of food, customs and history and blended it all together to keep us engaged. The stops on the tour included little pancakes, herring, local sausage and beef, local baked goods, food from Surinam, a popular pub snack and apple pie. Moved at a great pace. Totally full at the end but such great bites and plenty of ideas of places to go back to. Wouldn't hesitate to do another food tour with this group or an art tour with our guide.

Renee was an absolutely amazing tour guide. He was very warm and friendly. We were able to see Jordaan through his eyes! He was extremely knowledgeable! I’ve been on many tours and this by far stands out as Top 5, the food the culture, very intriguing. This tour is a must! You won’t be let down.

A very enjoyable tour although more than a little difficult to find starting point if this is your first visit to Amsterdam. The tour guide was kind enough to allow us to start our tour at the second restaurant. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and choices of restaurants offered a nice variety of foodstuffs. All in all I would definitely recommend this tour to get a nice overview of Amsterdam's cuisine.

Estephan was very welcoming, informative and gracious. He had to call ahead to places to provide some gluten-free option for my wife since the Viator phone operator failed to record my gluten-free request. We were treated to alcohol and food samples from the region in many little Jordaan shops. The best part was eating foods we'd never sampled and hearing some history for the first time from a native of Amsterdam.

We travelled as a family of 4 and had a great time! Rene was our guide and he gave us so much interesting information about Amsterdam, the typical food and a lot of insider stuff. His English and German is fluent. This tour was just the perfect start for a three-day- Amsterdam-Tour.

The food was very good and our guide explained the connection to the Dutch culture. Thijs, our guide, also include many cultural, architectural and fun facts. It was a great way to get to know Amsterdam!

This was our third food tour and have decided to do a food tour on each of our European trips. The tastings were varied and introduced us to a lot of the Dutch cuisine. Did not think that I would like the herring but was pleasantly surprised.

This was a great tour! We learned so much about Amsterdam -- not just the typical touristy things. The food was plentiful and diverse -- arrive hungry! We took the whole family and it was one of the highlights of our 10 day trip through Europe. Highly recommended!

We had the great pleasure to tour with Aileen, discovering the many tastes of the district, its rich history and quirky traditions. The food was delicious and varied. She accommodated my vegetarian spouse at each site too. She genuinely loves the history, being Dutch and everything the area has to offer. We ended up going back to several of the stops. The only complaint: too much food... and is that really a problem? The walking is easy, flat and accessible. Thank Aileen!
