DO THIS TOUR! Be prepared for a real adventure, but it really is a once in a lifetime experience. We unfortunately had a cloudy day, but the islands were still gorgeous. The color of the water is UNREAL! Our driver and guide were great - really helpful and knowledgeable. Truly can't wait to visit again someday.

Disclaimer: If you dislike nature in any way, the sun or heat or water this tour IS NOT FOR YOU. Having said that, I must say this was a fantastic experience! From the get-go it was a memorable road trip to the beach with rolling (very!) hills and lots of greenery on a comfortable SUV. We got to meet the Guna Yala people and what they have to offer. You need your passport to be able to access the islands as the Guna Yala is autonomous people from Panama and there is no way around that. But you can leave your stuff on the SUV and not worry about it. We went island-hopping and visited 4 islands; each one more beautiful than the first. The best part was going to the natural swimming pool which used to be an island and now is a very shallow area in the middle of the sea. We were a group of seven and we ALL enjoyed every moment of it. Sure, the trip lacked comforts available in resorts, but if you prefer that you are welcome to stay in your hotel. You Only Live Once! Gracias Billy y Nai!

One of the best tours I have ever done. However, I saw some people in our group that were 100% unaware and unprepared for it. They were expecting more structure, wearing running shoes and jeans. This is not that kind of tour. Everything is very simple, rustic, be prepared with nausea pills if you get motion sickness, the boat is small. The road is pretty good until you enter the reserve, then it gets really bumpy and winding. So be prepared. Sunscreen, bug repellent, extra clothes, bathing suite, sandals. That said, the trip is amazing. We saw lots of birds on the road, the beaches are amazing, tiny cute islands with the most AMAZING blue water. The water is clear, the beaches are clean, not many tourists. Our driver did not speak English but our local guide did. It was not perfect but he was perfectly capable of communicating. Everyone was super nice and friendly, especially the locals, and the food was simple but tasty. They were even able to prepare a Gluten-Free version of their fish for me since I'm allergic to wheat. Absolutely amazing! Would recommend 100%, you just need to be ready for a bit of an adventure.

This was an amazing full day trip. San Blas islands are a wonder of nature. If you want to experience exciting roat trip and a beach day, this is the tour to book. Hotel pick up was on time as agreed the day before. The start is early so that you reach San Blas around 8.30am and have time to enjoy different islands on the way. Ride is adventure on its own since the road is almost like an off-road experience. But no worries, the driver is like at home there since he is driving the route every day. Take Dramamine if you feel dizzy on curvy roads. Boat ride was well organized by our local guide. He was with us all the time, giving all necessary information. Take extra clothes to change, you will very likely get wet on the boat. No need to bring a lot of food, we stopped at a place where you can get breakfast and lunch was served at the last island. All together, really well organized! Thank you for this nice experience.

One of the top 3 highlights of Panama! THINGS TO NOTE: The car will pick you up from your Panama City hotel between 5:20-5:40 am. They're all small SUV like Ford Explorers and will fill the car will all butts in if you get picked up first chose a good seat! It's a 2-2.5 hour drive from PC and the last hour of the drive is windy roads filled with pot holes (so a lot of maneuvering). If you get car sick pack accordingly. Once you get to the port prepare to wait about an hour until your boat departs to the first island. They don't have an efficient process but it works...just takes time so I want you to set expectations. Once you get on the boat and ride to the first island (45 min boat) you're in Paradise. Swim in the water, have a coconut with rum, eat the preapred lunch, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. LOVED our time - the only thing to note is the car ride can be a bit uncomfortable and their process is janky before you get on the boat (but 100 safe)

I took a last minute, three day trip to PTY and wanted to see the city and the beach. After doing extensive research, I realized the best option was a day trip to San Blas Islands. It's a long day and it can be uncomfortable for some who don't like long, bumpy, curvy car rides - but the beauty of the pristine beaches you will see is 100% worth it. Bring cash for the fees as outlined in the description and if you want to buy sodas, beers or snacks on the islands you'll visit. You'll have a simple but delicious lunch provided. Bring all the essentials you'll want for the day as well including lots of sunscreen, a hat and bathing suit cover up.

An incredibly fun day. Beautiful trip with amazing scenery to a remote region with nothing but blue water and acre sized islands. People were so friendly and Blanco (the local guide) was great. Don't do it if your goal is great snorkeling (it's good not great) but by all means do it for a memorable day as remote from civilization and reality as one can get. My only complaint is that it is a long drive (2.5 hours each way from Panama City) and the car carried 6 people and was unbearably cramped.

This tour was absolutely amazing! Unspoiled islands and beaches, time to relax, sip some rum from your coconut and enjoy!

This was a great trip with lots of time to visit in 3 tropical islands! I would definitely recommend it. Our tour guide for the islands Blanco was very attentive and informative! The lunch was very typical of the islands in Panama.

This was a very special experience with the San Blas indigenous people providing lunch and spending time on remote islands with nothing but a small hut or two, palm trees, crystal clear water for snorkeling and kayaking. It's hot and sticky with no pampering but with gracious hosts and a true adventure. Island after island of white sand, palm tress and a hut or two. Incredible. I'd suggest getting in your coffee and breakfast and some snacks ahead of time if you like healthy food to start the day. It's a 5AM pick up and 7PM drop off. Long day but awesome and 100% worth it! Plan a low key day the next day.

It's a great trip, the tour guides organize the trip really well. All three islands are beautiful, and we had a lot of fun! You'll have chance to visit some private islands which are not crowded and you can enjoy the clear blue water and beautiful beach quietly. All the photos and videos we took that day are so beautiful and absolutely no filter needed. Must go!

The tour is a must when visiting Panama. The beaches by the islands are one of the best beaches we have ever been. The trip from the city to San Blas was up and down winding roads. Motion sickness problems? Be ready. Bring some extra water and snacks, you will need it before lunch. Lunch is good. Select the fish option. What made our tour more tolerable is because of our guide, Blanco and our driver Toti. They were mindful of our discomforts. The tour would have been better if for not the rain. Overall, the tour was worth it.

Most of the day was traveling and you don't get that much time on the three islands. That being said, the islands were very nice and you get to go to an area in the middle of the area where you can easily stand (probably a former island that climate change devoured). Make sure to have your camera ready! I'd say it's worth it despite it being overpriced.

I picked English version of tour but was given a driver who did not speak English. Considering the amount of time you are in the vehicle to actually reach the destination it would be good if you had a guide you can communicate with. I understand I am in their country and do my best to speak Spanish as well as using google translator but it would be nice to have questions answered about places along the route. However on San Blas, the food was not really hot or tasty. The water was beautiful and the guides that take you out were friendly and could speak decent English. Their description of beach chairs and umbrellas were false. There were no umbrellas and beach chairs consisted of the plastic chairs you just sit in

Would have wished to eat litlle bit more for lunch. The boat ride in the morning was awful. I think the normal speed was exceeded and in the result we were suffering... the body was suffering by the strong beats of the was really hard and not normal. But all we saw was amazing.

This tour was very long with a lot of driving over bad, winding roads. We were in the car for about 7 hours or more. The islands visited were small and pretty with nice beaches but each was about the same. We could have spent a day at the beach without all the driving and boating. I guess the adventure was in all the driving and boating, but I’m not sure it was worth it. We got caught in two major traffic jams for about 45 minutes each. Our boat had one bad engine which required 30 minutes of repair while we waited in the boat. The tour was rather disorganized when we arrived at the boats and first island as nobody told us much about how long we would be there and where to meet to go to the next island. It was rather unsettling. There was a language barrier.

Islands: 5 stars. Transportation to the port: 1 star. Let me start off with the good: The islands were amazing, the relaxation, the swimming, the snorkeling were terrific. There were starfish, all sorts of tropical fish, rays, conch shells, etc to see when snorkeling! None of it was rushed. We had fantastic sunny weather despite being rainy season. Do bring your own snacks as lunch takes a while...the locals are on their own time! Now the bad: The ride from Panama City to the port was 3 hours and the entire 3 hours (actually 6 hours, going there and back), the driver spoke only Spanish to the Spanish-speaking couple in the car. He did not speak any English. In my opinion, if the driver is going to drive English-speaking passengers, he should speak English. It was an incredibly "lonely" 6 hours.

Pros: The islands were beautiful, heavenly waters, dreamy white sandy beaches, skilled drivers, helpful staff when coming in and off the boats. Lunch was good : choice of whole fish or chicken with 2 sides. Indigenous people were very nice. Cons: 48 minute late pick up. - out of the 14 hours of the tour about 6-7.5 of them are spent driving (boat or car). - during the 4 hour drive to San Blas, there was no guiding given. Even though during the booking it asks to select English or Spanish language, the guide only spoke in Spanish. I was told nothing of the history, the people, the culture, the geography, or the significance of the islands. Very Disappointing. It made me want at least half my money back. - “breakfast” is only 2 very very skinny slices of watermelon and pineapple (they were delicious) not enough to satisfy and misleading. Plant ahead to eat your own breakfast.
