We were picked up from our accommodation on time in an extremely comfortable car by the very pleasant and knowledgeable Eduardo. He was wonderful from the start of the day until he dropped us home. With great knowledge of the attractions we visited and suggestions for where to have coffee, shop for souvenirs and have an excellent lunch. A great day out Eduardo thanks!

John our guide was very cordial and professional. He was very attentive and informative. All 4 places were beautiful. But we really enjoyed Batalha and Óbidos.

Excellent tour of Fátima, Batalha, Alcobaça, and Óbidos. Amazing time. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. Our personalized tour was informative. There is time in Fatima to attend mass and to pray the Rosary. Loved every minute spent on this tour.

Our driver, Bernado, was highly knowledgeable and just an outright nice person. Car was clean, comfortable and the day was a pleasant drive. We did not see all the sites advertised. We also paid extra for the candle procession however were told few days prior it was not on despite our date being between the dates advertised. We were quite disappointed about this. Bernado did try to help us and we were able to attend the last mass at 9pm. Overall, very happy with the whole day trip and despite not seeing all the sites advertised, would still highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Very interesting and well organised tour. Our driver/guide was very informative and since we were a group of friends we had a certain flexibility regarding the order of sight we wanted to visit and time spent at each sight. Batalha and Alcobaça are beautiful monasteries and Óbidos is such a charming place to visit. All in all, a great experience!

It was a great experience and the only way to visit many places in one day.The organization was perfect.Bernard, the driver was at the hotel door at time and we traveled in complete safety in all the places. The car was a good one, clean and new and the driver very polite and helpfull. We left on time and visited all the places planned. The driver didnt rush us and he recomanded all the time how long we would need in each place. In return he agreed to let us in Rossio Square and not at the hotel. It was a pleasant experience. We are very pleased with the organization of VIATOR and recommend this trip.It was easy to book and pay. Thank you VIATOR.

We were a group of 14 persons booked in 2 minivans. Our English tour guides were Eduardo and Bernardo. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, hard-working, polite, and patient. With their excellent guidance, the tour was very interesting and enjoyable from the beginning to the end. The lunch was very good with good foods, drinks, beer, wine, coffee included. Fatima is a very popular and famous place, but other places mentioned in the tour are also very interesting and amazing with knowledgeable guidance from our tour guides.

We had a wonderful, full day with our guide Joaquim, who picked us up at our hotel in Lisbon at 9am. We didn't return home until 8pm. That's two or three hours later than normal but Joaquim was a gracious, knowledgeable host who didn't rush us and tailored the tour according to our interests. Normally this tour stops at Fatima first, but Joaquim wisely recommended we tour Obidos first, a wonderful, medieval city with a picturesque stone wall surrounding it. After a long and interesting lunch we visited the Batalha Monastery, where we took our time seeing and learning as much as we could. It wasn't until late afternoon/early evening that we got to Fatima. But the timing was perfect the heat of the day was over and getting a feel for this special place seemed natural. There was a Mass going on in the main church when we arrived so we were unable at first to visit the tombs of the three children who witnessed the apparitions. But Joaquim gave us plenty of time to walk around and pray, and afterwards and after the Mass he said we should go back into the church and spend some time visiting the tombs two of the children are now saints in the Catholic church. This is a great tour and way to learn more about Portugal outside of the big cities regardless of your religious background or tendencies. Recommended.

Wonderful day tour as we had a private vehicle and got to choose our tour. Our drive/tour guide Tony was well versed and informative. He went out off his way to show us more and pleased us constantly. Fatima was just an awesome experience, and one of our members got to do the reading at mass made her day Will do it all over again.

Our driver and guide, Eduardo, was excellent. He was very attentive to our needs stamina having arrived from the US on an early morning flight. He was extremely knowledgable of all sites visited, especially Fatima. He chose an excellent local restaurant for us to enjoy traditional Portuguese food and wine for our lunch. I highly recommend this tour, and would ask for our guide again when visiting Portugal.

The tour was extremely well managed from the time i booked it to the time we were dropped back to the hotel. Our driver/guide Joao was extremely knowledgeable and humourous. He spoke very good English and was able to answer every question posed to him. The restaurant recommended by him turned out to be extremely good. The food and drinks were delicious and we even ended up receiving a free bottle of 'Aguardent' from the kind owner! I highly recommend this tour to others who may want to do it.

What a great tour. A must for any traveler that hasn't been to Fatima, Batalha, Obidos. Our Driver was wonderful and was able to get us close to the exhibits.
• Submitted 19 Jun 2017
Great tour, a bit long in my opinion, but very good. If you are a catholic, Fátima is a must, if you are not, it is also worth your time. The monastery of Batalha is wonderful, huge and reminds you of the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. The monastery of Alcobaça is also nice, but after seeing the one in Batalha, this one is less impressive. I would recommend dropping the visit to Alcobaça in favor of a little more time in Óbidos, which is a very nice medieval town. Edoardo, our guide, was very professional and dedicated. He explained everything in a combination of Spanish, Portuguese and English.
