Both of our guides Paulo and Celso were excellent. There were many things to see including the beach where McNamara rode the largest wave. The guides were patient with my sprained ankle and went out of their way to help. Although the sites of Obidos and Nazare were awesome, with Obidos being very crowded, the guides were the real prize. This private tour was a bargain.

We had a superb day trip from Lisbon to Evora. It is an amazing city and our guide did a great job. He was knowledgable about all aspects of the trip, and made sure we saw all the important sites in Evora. Be sure to give him the credit he deserves. He had to do the tour both is English and is Spanish and he did an excellent job. We had a very nice respite with some olive oil tasting, and the restaurant he recommended for lunch was great. This is a must see city in Portugal.

My wife and I were looking for something different to do outside of Lisbon and chose to do this day trip. We'd recommend this trip. Evora is a lovely little town with excellent Roman ruins in the city center, with several churches (including the church of the bones) to visit. The olive oil testing was good and lunch was provided as well. The guide showed up on-time in a clean and spacious van and was very attentive. You do get about an hour and a half on your own to explore the city before leaving. We had the chance to do a wine tasting, were we brought back several bottles of wine.

Our tour guide Ricardo was the bomb! He was awesome by being accommodating and informative throughout the tour experience. My friend and I were traveling from Ireland and made a mistake in our booking of accommodation. Therefore, we had our luggage and was frantically searching for a place to store our luggage so we don't have it for the tour. Ricardo was so accommodating, he allowed us to leave it in the minivan when he sensed our distress. So happened, my friend and I were the only ones on the tour that day, so it felt like a private tour. We started the experience by getting picked up in one of the best-airconditioned vans that we experienced while traveling in Europe. When we got to Evora, we got to sample different olive oils. My friend and I bought some back. After, we visited iconic monuments such as the Temple of Diana. Also, Ricardo explained the history of the cork trees and the cork making process. Evora is a small and beautiful town. Ricardo gave us plenty of free time to go shopping in the town. I would recommend you save some euros and buy cork products in Lisbon. It is cheaper in price while having the same quality. Overall this was a wonderful tour of the beautiful countryside of Portugal.

Vasco was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He slowed the van so I could take some photos on the side of the road. Our small group decided to have lunch together and Vasco recommended and joined us at a wonderful local restaurant. The town was charming and the olive oil tasting was fabulous.

Daniel picked us up right on time in a sparkling clean van and drove us to Evora. He was knowledgeable, delightful, and very considerate of my travel partner who has some trouble walking. Wonderful day spent in a different part of Portugal, learned and saw a lot and was delivered back. I highly recommend this trip.

This tour with Cooltours to Evora was interesting but took a long time to get there through some rough terrain. We saw cork and olive plantations, had olive oil tastings, visited the stone monoliths at Almendres Cromlech, the Church with the Chapel of bones and saw the remnants of the Roman Temple. We had a wonderful lunch with our guide and 6 others. We highly recommend this tour to fellow travelers.

We were very lucky that we were the only 2 on this tour so it was like a private tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was interesting and very relaxing. It was so nice to see a small town and the countryside. I would recommend this tour.

We had a great tour with Lilianna, walking in Evora. She is very knowledgeable. The olive oil tasting is okay but it gives you the chances to buy olive oil made in the region. I've really enjoyed learning more about cork trees and seeing so much of them!

The gloomy rainy weather did not even detract from this fabulous excursion with CoolTours. Just 8 of us in a mini van, and we were able to See all of the expected sights, and then some. We even got to stop for a coffee and wine tasting, since all of us were agreeable. I would recommend this tour very highly

We really enjoyed the trip. Our guide, Andrea, was personable and very knowledgeable. The trip included a variety of experiences packed in the day.
• Submitted 19 Nov 2016
Our tour was relaxed and informative with more to see than we expected. Definitely a good day trip to see a smaller city and learn a little about the countryside, and a good price for what was included.

The Evora trip is well worth it! The trip well balanced covering the key sites as well as providing time to stroll around the town. Our driver - Andrea - was very informative, flexible and an absolute joy to spend the day with. She added in a wine tasting at the end of the day in addition to the olive oil tasting. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Having only 8 guests was the perfect size.

This was a terrific tour. It was a great opportunity to get out of the city and see more rural areas. Evora is a very charming town. It was interesting to see cork trees and learn about cork harvesting.
