Tajikistan Visa Information

Visa Requirements

Most nationalities, including citizens from UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, USA and Canada, require a visa to enter Tajikistan for up to 30 days.

The nationalities listed above can apply for an e-visa online at https://www.evisa.tj/index.evisa.html.

Please note that the e-visa is only valid for 45 days from approval and therefore it is essential that you apply within 45 days of your arrival date in Tajikistan. The e-visas usually take 1-2 days to be approved and you will receive an email confirmation which you must print out and take with you. E-visas are accepted at all Tajikistan international airports and land borders.

If you are travelling with On The Go and need to provide an address in Tajikistan, please use:
Rohat Hotel
Rudaki Avenue 24, Dushanbe
Tel + 992372211050

GBAO Permits

Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) is an autonomous region in Tajikistan. To enter this region you need a GBAO Permit in addition to a Tajikistan visa. The GBAO permit can be applied for online at the same time as the e-visa at - https://www.evisa.tj/index.evisa.html#/. The permit is also valid for 45 days from approval.

We enter the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast region on all of our Tajikistan overland adventures and therefore On The Go travellers must apply for a GBAO permit in addition to the e-visa.

Visa Procurement

Please be advised that visa requirements are subject to change and that visa procurement is the responsibility of the traveller and not On The Go Tours, therefore it is essential that you check current visa requirements with the embassy before travel. Please also ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your planned date of departure from Tajikistan.
