Our guide Aittippol Keelawong was the best! We received a confirmation call the day before alerting us to inform the hotel to prepare a breakfast box for our early morning departure which we assumed we would have just skipped breakfast. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time with Excellent English Skills. He was very informative explaining not only the alms giving but the history of the Temple. It was nice having him explain the food at lunch. Overall excellent tour made enjoyable by a great tour guide!”

“
spent 4 days 3 nights in ChingMai. Day 1 arriving in early afternoon, sign up for a cooking school that night. Joined this morning tour on Day 2, and went for zip line in the afternoon. Went for a performance dinner at night at Mandarin Oriental. Day 3 signed up for a full day tour to Ching Rai black, white and blue temples. Day 4 just wondering in the resort, city, spa and heading to airport. It is an unforgettable experience.”

I am glad I chose this tour to see Wat Doi Suthep. While there are a lot of tours that will take you to the top of the mountain and the temple, it was really nice to get there early in the morning before the crowds arrived. There were only a few people meandering around when we got there, so it made it easy to get nice pictures and be able to reflect a bit in the quiet surroundings as the guide explained the meaning of the different statues. The giving of alms and the visit to the meditation spot were also nice and the guide was very open and informative and explained many aspects of the Buddhist beliefs and practices. After a quick late breakfast, I was back to my hotel by 10:00 which gave me plenty of time for other activities.”

“
Nice tour. My only complaint is that I was thee only person on my tour and the guide seemed unwilling to adjust his routine to accommodate me. I am a practicing Buddhist and would have liked to have had more time for prayer and reflection.”

Una experiencia única, ser parte del día a día como un tailandés, estuvo fuera de serie. No importó madrugar. Nuestro guía excelente persona. Lo recomiendo”

This was an amazing tour! Our guide was so knowledgeable and also had lots of experience to share from his times staying at Buddhist monasteries. The lunch of Khao Soy was amazing and delicious. My father and I had a great time on this tour!”

“
Our guide Sam was awesome! Learned so much from him about the history and culture at both temples we had the pleasure to visit. Getting to give the monks our offering and be able to see and be apart of the process was a once in a lifetime experience. We were blessed by one of the monks and received Sai Sin bracelets. We also went to a local restaurant and had some amazing lunch. Great tour if you really want to get the temple experience and want to be able to ask questions to someone who speaks English.”

“
Simply put, the tour was amazing and it was a highlight of our vacation. Our guide, Ping, was incredibly personable and his knowledge of the monk rituals and temple history made every stop we made more meaningful. I mentioned to Ping that we would probably visit Wat Pha Lat, as love photographing old architecture. he was incredibly flexible in making the stop there, as well as adjusting our visits to older temples. Finally, the stop at a well regarded Khao soy restaurant was a delicious ending to our wonderful day. It was a special experience to give alms with a local community. I highly recommend this tour and thank Ping and his driver for a fantastic day.”

We loved this tour!! We had the opportunity to give alms to the monks and to visit the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Temple. Our guide, Preecha was the best, he explained us everything and has ample knowledge about Thailand's history and Buddhism. Highly recommended.”

I was traveling solo, so this was a private tour. Very interesting to learn more about the Bhuddist monk culture from a former monk. He made sure that I understood their lives and some of their customs. He also took a ton of pictures of me and ensured I had a great experience. It was a great day out. Driver was nice and did a great job! Lunch was tasty as well!”

“
This was a lovely experience of true culture. It was very spiritual. Our tour guide provided lots of history of the culture and of the Buddhist Almsgiving and the temples. After we experienced the monks, our tour included Doth Sep. It truly was a very nice tour, and it was very early but it left us the rest of the day to do some other things.

We really enjoyed our time with Sam and our driver apologies, I do not remember his name. Sam is extremely knowledgeable of the Chiang Mai area, very personable, and really let us enjoy the temples and sceneries. Definitely get to the temples early to avoid the tourist horde! Lunch was also a highlight with our meal of khao soi, chicken rice, and chicken satay sticks.”

“
This tour was incredible, we had a really well-informed and friendly guide who explained each element of what we were seeing and experiencing. She also filled us in on epic extra gems, like where to get some of the best coffee and treats in Chiang Mai. Another reason we enjoyed this more than any other temple tour is because you get to these locations much earlier than the general hordes. Makes for a much more peaceful and introspective experience. Also, ate some of the best khao soi in Northern Thailand! Cannot recommend this tour enough.”

A lovely early morning trip. This was a very special and unique opportunity and was so nice to beat the crowds and have the area almost completely to ourselves. Our guide was very knowledgeable and tailed the trip to what we wanted to see and learn.”

We were looking forward to this tour and were not disappointed! Max, our guide, and Ray, our driver, were fantastic! Max was excellent at explaining the devotional practices of the monks and the history behind the Doi Suthep and Wat Umong temples and more recent information on Thailand and Chiang Mai. We didn't get the blessing in Wat Umong, but were blessed by the monks after alms giving. The khao soy was delicious and we were glad that the servers were women in rehabilitation. Ray drove carefully on the winding road to Mt. Suthep and we didn't get car sick. We highly recommend this trip!”
