Your BridgeClimb experience starts at the Sydney Harbour Bridge Visitors Centre where you meet your guide, receive a comprehensive safety briefing and put on the provided BridgeSuit, a specially designed coverall worn over your clothing.

When you’re ready, follow your expert Climb Leader through a purpose-built tunnel that leads to the bridge. Securely clipped into a safety wire, start to climb the steady incline up the arches of the bridge, traversing catwalks and ladders all the way to the 440-foot (134-meter) summit. At the top, stop to admire panoramic views of Sydney and its surroundings. To the east you can see the sails of the Sydney Opera House and to the west the majestic Blue Mountains are visible in the distance (on a clear day).

Throughout your tour, you can hear your guide via provided headsets. Listen to informative commentary and fun stories about the history of Sydney and the bridge and receive plenty of encouragement during your climb. Your guide stops at scenic points along the way so that you can take in the sights.

The 3.5-hour BridgeClimb is suitable for people with a moderate level of fitness. The 2.5-hour Express Climb proceeds at a faster pace with fewer stops. The 1.5-hour Sampler Climb goes to a halfway point inside the inner arch before returning to the ground. Select a VIVID Climb available during festival dates only.

Itinerary

Morning or Afternoon BridgeClimb (3.5 Hours):

This is the original Climb that takes the outer archways of the bridge all the way to the top. Climb up a steady incline and traverse catwalks and ladders, then admire panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and Sydney Opera House. Look out at the Blue Mountains, visible in the distance on a clear day. Choose from a morning or afternoon departure and see the city in full swing.

Dawn BridgeClimb (3.5 Hours):

Take in the breathtaking views of the sun rising over Sydney on a dawn BridgeClimb. Join the first group to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge for the day, departing in the early morning before sunrise. Exact departure time is determined by timing of the sunrise. Receive two additional complimentary photos on this tour.

Twilight BridgeClimb (3.5 Hours):

Get the best of both day and night on this tour, which departs just before sundown. Take in a spectacular sunset and watch the moon and stars appear during your climb. Exact departure time depends on the timing of the sunset.

Night BridgeClimb (3.5 Hours):

Depart after the sun has set on this 3.5-hour tour to the summit. See the sparkling lights of the city and Sydney Harbour below while the stars and moon shimmer above.

BridgeClimb Express (2.25 Hours):

If you don’t have a lot of time or simply prefer a faster route to the summit, the BridgeClimb Express provides an incredible experience. Unlike the longer tour that walks along the outer arches, your route goes through the heart of the structure, which provides a different perspective. With this option, there are fewer steps to climb, fewer stops and the ascent to the top moves at a faster pace. Perfect for those with a higher level of fitness who are looking for an energetic experience within a shorter time frame.

BridgeClimb Sampler (1.5 Hours):

The Sampler is ideal if you have limited time, would like a more economical option or have concerns about heights and prefer not to go to the very top. The climb follows walkways on the inner parts of the bridge, which some people prefer to the exterior walkways used for other climbs. Reach a spectacular vantage point located on the inner arch of the bridge at the highest point of this climb, which is situated about halfway to the top of the bridge. With a maximum of 12 people, you're sure to have customized attention from your expert guide.

The VIVID Climb (3.5 Hours):

Experience the magic of a bird’s-eye view of Sydney as it sparkles during VIVID Sydney 2018. Get spectacular views of the colorful light installations all around the harbor and as you climb the bridge. You'll also take part in the Sydney Harbour Bridge light show when you wear the provided VIVID Climb Vest. You will climb into the frame of a unique festival installation, high above the city, to capture a must-have image to commemorate your VIVID climb. The VIVID Climb will only be available during VIVID Sydney 2018 (May 25 to June 16, 2018).

BridgeClimb Mandarin (2.25 hours):

Take the 2.25-hour BridgeClimb Mandarin with an expert guide who speaks Mandarin fluently.

Mandarin Karaoke Climb (2.25 hours):

Help bring the year of the dog to life and celebrate Chinese New Year with your friends and family by singing your favourite karaoke songs on a stage like no other, on the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge! Choose from a selection of popular Chinese and K-pop songs to sing solo or in a group. Your performance will be yours to keep forever through a complimentary group photograph and an eight second video capturing your sky-high performance. The Karaoke Climb is available in Mandarin only and follows the standard BridgeClimb Express route to the summit. There are several departure times daily available during the Chinese New Year festival only, from February 9 and March 2, 2018.

A fantastic experience. Stunning views, excellent staff and very knowledgeable guide. All this even from someone who has a fear of heights. A must for travellers to Sydney.

Do the climb around 6:30pm in the summer. That way you get the sunlight climbing and the night lights when you are descending. My second time and still love it. My group of 8 were thrilled with the whole experience.Staff is very professional and safety is their top priority.

Doing the Bridge Climb is a MUST DO for visitors. Cost is a bit high and it is a not great that you cannot take your own camera or video. You pay extra for pictures they take on the climb... another must do, but added cost not explained prior... not cool! Our guide was excellent though!

Visiting Sydney... this was our one "Must-do" and the highlight of our stay! Staff was great! You check-in and then change into a "jumpsuit". You are not allowed to take anything with you, no phones, cameras or loose items... because you don't want to drop anything onto the traffic below when you are actually on the bridge. We actually had to take our shorts off, but you are protected and covered with the jumpsuit. Things like a hat, which they provide you have to be attached to your jumpsuit because it gets quite windy up there. We did the Express Tour which lasts 2.5 hours... the regular climb lasts 3.5 hours. Our guide said you see more of the inner workings of the bridge on The Express and you wind up at the very top just like the regular tour. The Express Tour involves more steeper steps and areas than the regualr tour.., and we stopped from time to time to rest and also to hear some history from our tour guide. You are provided with a headset and can listen to the tour guide with no problem... even if you are last in line! You get a few picture (group) and video provided as part of your tour. If you want individual or couples pictures... those are extra. A picture package at an extra cost can be purchased, but if you paying in U.S.... it comes out to like $44+ for the photos. We did it and also got a thumb drive. If you are fairly active... this is a must-do! Because now when we see the fireworks on New Year's Eve, we can say that we climbed it!

Great experience! Highly recommend it! Not that scary...over it quickly. And it's very safe. Talk about a view!

I highly recommend this experience. We did a night climb, and it was so beautiful to see the city lights from the top of the bridge. Our guide was excellent, and the climb was slow and enjoyable.

The Sampler Climb was just enough for me. Our guide was very engaging and very knowledgeable. He shared a lot of information and asked questions of us to make sure we understood what he was sharing. We were a small group and that was great.

It was a unique experience. The climb can be narrow at times and steep. The guides make stops for pictures that can be purchased at the end. You are not allowed to bring your phone or a camera on the climb. You need to strip and wear a jumpsuit provided by the company. The view is spectacular.

Excellent day run by a very slick operation. Staff were knowledgable and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Wow. That was spectacular. I am afraid of heights but I did the climb without any problems. My only complaint was spending so much time taking pictures. One team picture and individual would reduce the tour by one hour.

You just have to do it. Everybody of the staff is so nice and knowledgable!! I They tell all about the bridge and sights along the way. I do not like heights but this was incredible!! Absolutely amazing views and just to be able to say I DID the climb Whaaoooh!! And most importantlyof all I will do it again next time Im around.

Everyone said this is a “must do” item in Sydney, so I booked it, and what a great experience. Was it easy for me at 67? Nope, but I was determined. With my husband and daughter, we did the full climb to the top of the bridge. Everything was so organized and so well done I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency. They were very, very careful and very good with all the equipment we had to wear. Our guide, Mush, was phenomenal. He was very humorous and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this outing as I agree with all the people who told me it is a “must do” experience.

We did the 3.5 hr summit trip. The first hour was taken up with suiting up with safety gear and training on how to climb the ladders safely. The climb itself was wonderful because it was fun amd the views from the bridge were amazing. Throughout the climb, our guide, Ollie, kept us entertained and informed with stories about the bridge's history and materials. Much to my relief, the actual climb itself was not as physically demanding as I expected....4 sets of 24 ladder steps and then the rest were very gradual stairs and flat walkways. We had plenty of stops along the way to look at views and to have our pictures taken. Very unique experience!

This climb is not for the faint hearted but for those who are thrill seekers, go for it! If we did this on the Golden Gate Bridge, we would be arrest for trespassing.

We had a blast with our tour guide Katie! She was very knowledgeable and made the climb fun. We only had a group of 5 and that made it even better. Would totally do again!

I enjoyed the entire experience. BridgeClimb has thought of everything necessary to ensure you get your money’s worth. Edward was our guide and he was very funny and knowledgeable. He loves what he does and that was contagious. In addition to the magnificent climbing experience - and views - I actually enjoyed watching how well organized BridgeClimb is! They’ve got a great system to get people through so that guests aren’t wasting time with disorganized gear or confusing instructions. Great job BrigdeClimb! Thank you!

Did the Bridge Climb (my second one - first one in 2008) with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed the total experience again! Our guide and leader Pete was very entertaining with his knowledge of the Bridge with some funny anecdotes to accompany his narration of the history of the Bridge, etc. It is obviously a different way to view Sydney but I can highly recommend it as it may be a "once in a lifetime" experience!!

Best ever Bucket List item. Kymbra was an excellent guide with lots of patience and local bridge knowledge.

This is a fairly straightforward climb. You are connected to the bridge constantly and even so would be very unlikely to fall. There are some ladders that climb. The most vertiginous point is when you cross over to the other side to then come down. There are lots of pauses, mainly to take lots of photos. You get the group one free but would pay for others. Be warned, all participants are breathalysed so be sure you are below the drink drive level for Australia.

It takes 3.5 hours, but won't feel as long. First 1 hour was spent on preparation, briefing, wearing equipments, and practice. The climb itself took about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on how much time is spent during photo sessions. Think of this as climbing to the top of the bridge for photo sessions, and our guide (and the rest of 13 persons group) was very patient to allow each sub-groups did their poses. After reaching the top and took our group picture, the "climb" down was about 40 minutes. The guide/photographer (Mr. Abs, that was his name) was very energetic, funny, knowledgeable and made the journey a pleasure. Safety was excellent. Loose objects, such as your phone would not be allowed. So forget about selfies. But the photos our guide took of our sub-group of my daughter and me (we took the optional 10 pic package, in soft copies) were more than good enough. If you do not want the optional photo packs, you will receive the complimentary group photo of your entire climb group. Make sure you had breakfast or lunch beforehand. Drinking fountains are present on several spots along the climb. Don't worry about climb intensity. This is not a climb, more like a stroll, although you would need to climb a few very safe ladders. If you are able to walk normally 1 km without rest stops, you would not have a problem doing this. Total steps is about 1450 for the entire "climb". Overall a must do, although quite expensive (total 580 AUD incl. the optional 10 pics).

This tour is a must do while in Sydney. What an unbelievable experience. Checking in was breeze and the staff throughout the entire facility was very pleasant. They first check you in, have you fill out paperwork, they also do a breathalyzer test. Make sure not to over drink that day because you cannot climb if intoxicated, for safety reasons (for those that have the jitters). You then change into your jumpers, get into your harness, do a practice run on ladders, put headphones/radios on, they also give you jackets and wind breakers, and it starts. The bottom/beginning of the tour is a little intimidating but once you get the arch itself, it remarkably it gets a lot easier. It seems very intimidating from affair but its completely stunning. We went in September so it was breezy and a bit chilly at the time we went (3pm'ish). You cannot take any looks jewelry on you, watches, cameras, etc. However, you can take glasses and they tie them up for you so that they do not fall. They offer to take pictures in different areas of the bridge and a short video, with an option to buy at the end. They offer a USB to purchase for $60 with 10 images on it. Well worth it! The tour I took which was the full climb to the summit did include a free group photo at the end. Our tour guide was Holly and he was GREAT and you can tell he loves what he does.

Last minute booking on the day of the climb, ended with a night climb time slot. Worked out perfectly since we got some spectacular views of the city; and not as scary since everything was dark so can't tell how high we actually were! Our guide was very patient and knowledgeable, provided good history and background of the bridge. Definitely a must do when in Sydney!
