Travelling with children
Travelling to or through Botswana with children
Effective from the 1st October 2016 minors (children under 18 years old) travelling through the country’s borders will be required to produce certified copies of unabridged birth certificates in addition to their valid passports. In the event that one parent is not travelling with the child, the other parent's affidavit consenting to such travel should be availed. However, an affidavit will not be required if the father’s name does not appear on the child’s birth certificate.
If you are travelling with children (under 18) it is essential that you contact the High Commission of Botswana for further information relating to these regulations. If you do not carry the correct documentation you will not be allowed to enter the country. Obtaining the correct paperwork is the responsibility of the traveler and not On The Go Tours.
