Important InfoInfo
Meet your guide at La Moneda Palace in the Plaza de la Constitución to kick off your 4-hour tour of Santiago that pairs sumptuous food tastings with incredible city views. You’ll travel by foot and take the metro to visit markets and historic neighborhoods.

In La Alameda, pass by the Iglesia San Francisco and Teatro Municipal. Stroll through Plaza de Armas and admire the Metropolitan Cathedral and Correo Central, the old post office.

Our first stop will be at one of the best local restaurants we know, who produce mouth-watering new Chilean cuisine. The menu changes every day, so let us surprise you with your dishes!

Next, walk to La Vega Central, a crowded and chaotic market known for the fresh produce that thrives in Chile’s mild climate and varied terrain. Pass by peaches, raspberries and custard apples, as well as healing potions and household items; all kinds of goods can be found here.

Our Santiago tour is then going onwards and upwards — literally! We’re taking the Funicular to the top of Cerro San Cristobal. At the top, you’ll have the best view of the city, so keep that camera handy. You’ll want to show off your awe-inspiring photos to everyone back home, right?!

We’ll finish up our Santiago tour in the bohemian Bellavista neighbourhood. A place full of life and arts and crafts. Before you go, don’t forget to ask your local guide for tips on what else to see, do and eat during your stay

Nicolas and his trainee, Jaime, did an excellent job on this walking and food tour of Santiago. With everything happening there we had to be flexible on the itinerary for our safety. We ALWAYS felt safe and had a wonderful time seeing the city highlights and experiencing the local food. We started with a tour of the Metro and the history of the culture. Of course with curiosity of what is happening they gave explanations of possibilities instead of skirting the issues. They embraced the culture and shared it with us through history and food. We experienced Plaza de Armas, the Seafood Market, and even ice cream. All Chilean favorites. It was a wonderful time!

What a great day. Our guide Juan Pablo was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Santiago. The tour began at the President’s square and continued through the market area of the City. The eating experience stares with a light snack at a fun local cafe. From there we wandered through the Fish Market where we ate a fabulous Fish empanada and then through the beautiful flower market and vegetable market. Along the way, Juan Pablo Fuller is in on local history and and current events. We ended the day atop the beautiful Cristo mountain. Fabulous group of tourists and a wonderful guide made it a perfect day.

Brilliant day out thanks primarily to being with our cook Mikail Sampen. Mikail is a genuinely brilliant and passionate chef who cares hugely about Chilean cuisine and its preparation using locally sourced products. He opened up his restaurant for us to cook an excellent lunch using very simple ingredients that we bought from a local market - an experience in its own right. We had some amazing food in the capital Santiago, including some high end and expensive cuisine, but Mikail's abilty to create something very wonderful out of simply, fresh, ingredients down in agricutural Santa Cruz, leads me to believe he's one of the best and most promising young cooks in Chile.

Our guide Nicolas was very easy to understand and spoke clearly and loudly enough even for us hard-of-hearing. He took us to two nice restaurants representative of Chile, and to three different types of markets. The fish market was fascinating with an enormous display of the fish off the Chilean coast. He offered a lot of historical and current information that kept the tour interesting. We got a lesson on how to pay for and ride the subway, so now we're confident to head out on our own today. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Nicholas was a great guide. We enjoyed the conservations, the history and the explanations of the food and history of the marauders. He was helpful with the Metro, which we took between markets. Tastings , including lunch, were fabulous. Highly recommend this tour.

Great food tour. Our guide Nickolas was fantastic. We got a city tour while walking to each of our next eating events. Went to the fish market and had great empanadas with a pisco sour, then strolled through the central market, very cool, had some great coffee and a pastry. Then we took the metro to a different neighborhood for some lunch, which was outstanding. Lot's of food and great fun. You will not leave the tour hungry. Great tour.

A fantastic way to spend 4 hours in Santiago. Claudia was an excellent guide and an absolute pleasure to meet and spend time with. I learnt so much about Chiles history and food in a short time, it was amazing! Would definitely recommend, worth every cent.

This was a perfect half day tour for anyone interested in food - and/or just interested in Chile. Flo was a spectacular guide, willing to amend the trip according to our preferences and seemed to have an answer to every question we could think of. She was very conversational without being the slightest intrusive - a truly special gift. The tour was substantive and way more interesting than anything we could have done on our own. I highly recommend!

Nice relaxing walkabout. Plenty of stops to enjoy the four hour walking trip. Lunch was great. We really enjoyed the cherimoya with fresh orange juice mixture, and the Pisco Sours are the cream of the crop. Santiago is an amazing city. Worth every penny we spent on this guided tour.

I enjoyed this tour very much. You learn so much more on a walking tour than on a bus. The markets were fun to see and the food was wonderful. Highly recommend.
