Stop At: Historic Centre of Macau, Macau Peninsula, Macau China

Meet your driver at your Hong Kong hotel and make your way to the ferry terminal, where you’ll board a fast ferry for a 60-minute ride across the open sea. Your full day of sightseeing kicks off when you step ashore the former Portuguese colony of Macau. Take a scenic drive through the Guia Circuit and see where the famed Macau Grand Prix is held each year. The tight corners and quick elevation gains make this street circuit one of the most challenging on earth. Pay a visit to A-Ma Temple, a famous UNESCO Heritage Site.. After you’ve taken in the temple, head to the top of the 11th tallest tower on earth – Macau Tower. Entry to the observation deck is optional (own expense) but the views are worth it, so be sure to carry your camera! Enjoy an international buffet lunch at a local restaurant. Make one last historical stop at the Ruins of St Paul—an ancient complex that used to be the site of the Cathedral of St Paul and St Paul’s College. Built in the 16th century by Christian exiles, a trip to the top of the ruin’s 66 steps offers up incredible views of the stone carvings and structural remnants around the site. Finally, head to the Macau Casino for one last adventure and place your bets in the premiere card room. Play a hand or simply take in all of the excitement before heading back to Hong Kong by fast ferry and returning to your hotel

From our pick-up at the hotel in the morning to the evening drop off that night, everything was perfectly coordinated. A representative from East Tours got us on the ferry, in Macau another rep was there to greet us and took us to the bus where we met Mario, our guide. Mario was wonderful, informative, professional and a great sense of humor. We saw Macau, not just a casino tour, however we did see highlights in both The Venetian, the largest casino, and The Emperor Palace Casino with gold bars in the floor. The historic sites, the tower and the city views along with a great lunch made for a wonderful day!

This was an excellent and well-planned tour. I felt like we covered all the highlights of Macau and got a good sense of how it is different from Hong Kong and the mainland. The lunch was nothing special, but it was sufficient.

Tour was well organised. Our guide Cisco was knowledgeable. Highly recommended if you have only a day to visit Macau.

Great tour. Fantastic guide--very knowledgeable. Spent time in largest (the Venetian) and smallest (Jackie Chan's) casinos. Lots of information regarding China's takeover of Macau. Visited historic church and city center. Great ride over and back on Jet Boat.

From the time we were picked up from our Hong Kong hotel to the time we were dropped off, this tour was extremely well organised. Mario, our Portuguese guide in Macao, was entertaining and kept us well informed about everything we saw. His knowledge of the history of colonization leading to the take-over by the Chinese government was most informative. All round, a great excursion well worth doing. The only negative, if you could call it a negative, was that we were in a hotel on Hong Kong island, but the tour we were on left from Kowloon ferry terminal. So, after a long day out, we had to make the trip back to our hotel through peak hour traffic. As far as I am aware, there are Macao ferries that leave from Hong Kong island, so when booking this tour see if you can get one that originates from the island if you are staying on the island.

awesome trip despite long travel periodsOur guide Carlos was amazing and multi lingual and addressed a lot of the people in their own tongue which was pretty cool - as were the fresh Portuguese tarts he arranged for us, collected and eaten after lunch!Beautiful sights - next time we will stay longer

a very well organized tour and a great day overall, even though we got poured on while visiting the temple. Timely pick ups and clear instructions on where to go/what to do to board a speed boat. Diverse stops in Macao - casino, statues, temple, shops, views, tower, etc. Mario, the tour guide, is very opinionated, knowledgeable and funny.

A full day touring exotic Macau. The tour moved at a perfect pace for my family of four. Consideration for short breaks was given throughout the day and yet we were able to cover a lot of ground. I highly recommend this tour!

Great tour! The weather was terrible on the day I went, but not anyone's fault. Went to the top of Macau Tower, view was good what I could see. Went to the biggest and crowded casino, but no time to gamble, just walked through. Our tour guide seemed to have a problem with certain people that love to come to Macau just to gamble. Wish we had more time in the casino. Enjoyed the rest of the tour. Buffett lunch was just OK. Guide said we were having a late lunch, which we did at about 230p. He wanted to avoid the big crowds, but being that it was the ending of the buffet, it seemed like to food wasn't as hot as it should've been. Boat ride going from Kowloon to Macau was smooth and a great ride, but the return boat ride back was a little rough due to the weather. If you get seasick, make sure you're prepared. Definitely, recommend this tour, just pray for good weather, because views would be Amazing!

The tour was very well organised. We were picked up from, and returned to our hotel by taxi. Our guide Cisco was brilliant, he explained the need to meet up at the times he set and not keep everyone waiting. He gave us a great deal of information about everything we saw, he was very patient and happy to answer questions. As there was a lot to see we were given varying amounts of time at each location but we never felt hurried and there was plenty of time for photography. The lunch was very good with every taste was catered for. All in all we thought it was very good value and would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking about visiting Macao.

Great knowledgeable guide who managed the group well. Portuguese egg tarts were not as good as the Hong Kong egg tarts IMHO.

A long but well organised and insightful day with a brilliant guide Mario. A highly recommended way of experience the diversity that is the Macau SAR area - very different from both Hong Kong and mainland China

We booked the trip for the 7th March 2018. Pick up and drop off from hotel was well organised and we received an e-mail the day before with a more accurate pick up time which was useful. The tour is very good and informative. It is not a shopping or gambling trip but if you want to go off and do your own thing you are given information on where to meet the group later or how to get to the ferry terminal. We went with the tour which covers more of the history of Macau. Our guide was Sisko and his knowledge was excellent as was his English. He was more than happy to answer any questions and gave a fascination local insight. Lunch was a buffet in a local hotel which was good with plenty of choice. There is a lot covered in the tour and the day does fly by. If you only have one day to visit Macau and want to learn something about the place and its history I highly recommend this tour.
