Our trip into the Desert was absolutely amazing. We even got to see camel races as we drove east on Route 66. The wildlife got closer and closer and Felix did a fantastic job of keeping us informed while looking after us. The camel ride, the Henna, the falcon display and the dinner, and entertainment were awe inspiring. An excellent experience to be remembered.”

We had just come off a two week cruise from Singapore to Dubai. This was -without question- the highlight of the trip.
Joel was an incredible guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable, providing great information about Dubai and the UAE from pickup to drop off.
The tour itself was amazing. We rode in “Martin”, a vintage open top Land Rover. There were plenty of photo opportunities, including wild birds, antelopes, stunning vistas, a falconry display, and live entertainment at a Bedouin camp. On top of all that was the most delicious dinner followed by some stargazing in the desert.
This is an experience not to be missed.”

This evening tour and company is perfection! We were met my our driver and guide promptly at our hotel. They call or email you during the morning/afternoon with exact pick up time. Note this will happen sometime between 2:30-3:30. Then after picking up other passengers you make your way to the desert! I forget if the ride was a hour or hour and a half but it goes fast has he points out points of interest, answers questions, and a stop at a camel race track. The car is a very clean and comfortable suv from platinum heritage. As soon as you arrive to the desert site you are greeted with a complimentary souvenir bag with water canister and they wrap your head in traditional scarf. Then youre on your way in their vintage Land Rover- coolest part! actually like the pictures. On the drive the point out animals and scenery and a couple of stops to see the sunset, and falcon show. Then to the dinner spot- the atmosphere of the camp was gorgeous ! and the food - so much! and so good!!! They definitely planned this tour perfectly and everyone from platinum heritage is sooo nice and professional and always had smiles on their faces and wanted to make sure you had this best time! Highly Recommend ! 10 stars if I could !”

Thank you for Platinum Heritage!! They are the only company I could find that did not do dune bashing (youtube it to see what that is). I was with a tour group that booked the dune bashing desert safari but I have motion sickness and vertigo so I knew I was not going to participate but I did not want to miss out on the desert. This tour was amazing. Our tour guide (Eli) I hope that is the correct name was patient and and accommodating. It was only 4 people total in our group so it was nice and intimate. The classic range rover jeeps were nice, we got to take lots of pictures, had a falcon show, live traditional emirate dance and the camp was nice (we had great food, hookah, henna, coffee making). I am so glad I ended up going with Platinum Heritage!! It was an amazing tour!”

I was a bit worried that this might be a little too touristy-hokey, but it was absolutely the most interesting tour I've ever taken! Ben (you must ask for this guide!) picked us up at our hotel on time, and then gathered 4 more passengers at their hotels along the way. Then we made our way to the desert, with Ben entertaining us all the way. We arrived at the preserve, laughed as we received our headdresses, and then hopped in our cool 50's era Land Rover. The scenery was stunning as the sun set, and we were able to see oryx and gazelle throughout our drive. We waved to a drone overhead as we made our way to the falconry demonstration. After receiving a cool drink of fruit juice, we found our cushions and thoroughly enjoyed the swift flights of the falcon, and the information provided about the history of falconry in the U.A.E.
Then, you return to the Land Rovers and proceed on to the encampment, which is just gorgeous...tents and carpets and cushions, hookahs, henna and drumming and gun dancing ~ all fabulous. An authentic Bedoin meal is provided, including salads and hummus, stew, soup, breads and smoked and cooked meats. Camels are there for those wishing to take a short camel ride. Beautiful! Perfect evening, and I highly suggest that you buy the USB stick with a video taken of YOUR Land Rover by the drones...it's an awesome video that you will enjoy watching and sharing with friends when you are back home again. Platinum Heritage Tours will be highly recommended by me!”

WOW I have done many Viator tours , cruise tours etc etc and I must say this is one of the very best tours we have ever done. From pick up to drop of our chaperone for the day was Sergio, he was just great. The ride to desert took about 45 mins - 1hour in a really comfortable 4WD. The Vintage Land Rovers were great as we travelled through the desert stopping to look at various animals. The whole afternoon/night was just exceptional and well worth every cent . Food as just amazing and everyone at the camp happy friendly , it all made for a fantastic night.,,, Thankyou for helping make our stay in Dubai so memorable, I am now in love with Dubai it really is a wonderful place.”

This is worth every penny! The land rovers, falconry at sunset, Bedouin Camp dinner, entertainment and camel ride makes this is a MUST do tour on your trip! Our guide Ben was fantastic! A lot of energy that kept up the fun the entire trip! The guides take great care of you. This is well organized and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Dubai. I’ve been all over the world and this is one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. Bravo Platinum Heritage!”

This desert trip is a must-do tour for anyone visiting Dubai. As hot as Dubai is in July and concerned as we were about going into the desert we were pleasantly surprised how comfortable we were. Picked up at 4.15pm from downtown Dubai and didn't return until about 11pm it was as enjoyable as it was educational, in a relaxed and fun way, thanks in no small part to the quality of our guide.
Driving through the desert in an open-top Land Rover is the best way to see the landscape, fauna and wildlife, and more comfortable than being in an air conditioned car.
The falcon show, camel ride, traditional meal and entertainment were all fantastic.”

Picked up from hotel at the agreed time then off into the desert. Swapped to the vintage land rover then more travelling over the dunes - fantastic. Dressed in my head dress I felt like one of the locals. Camel ride, falconry display and finished with a typical Bedouin feast. Absolutely brilliant. As I wear contact lenses I should have wore sun glasses whilst in the land rover !”

We wanted something authentic to the region rather than the tourist gimmicks of belly dancing and dune buggies and this was it. Very educational and a heap of fun. Our guide Riaz was hilarious and very knowledgeable. Also great knowing that a portion of our fee goes towards the ongoing conservation efforts.”

We had a guide "AAMIR" with Platinum Heritage who did such a good job doing a pre-tour explanation and commentary to ensure we understand what to expect during the tour.”

This tour was so fun and educational! I enjoyed seeing the desert in the vintage vehicles and all of the activities were interesting and organized nicety. I have some knee issues so the relaxed pace of this tour was great for me and all were very accommodating in getting me more comfortable seating, etc. Our guide, Miryam, was wonderful - so helpful and so cheerful. I plan to return to the UAE with students and this is the desert tour that I will want them to experience!”

This is a much more sophisticated and safer tour instead of climbing the dunes in those 4x4 modern vehicles. The guide speaks perfect portuguese and was very nice. Unique experience.”

One of the best tour guides we have ever enjoyed. Ericson is very special and hardworking. Awesome experience from hotel pickup to the end of the tour. Nice commentary enroute. Loved the falconry presentation, camel ride, vintage Land Rover, conservancy tour, dancing, dining, Bedouin camp, coffee,. Can't find the superlative to explain our satisfaction. Well done!!!”

THIS IS A MUST DO DESERT TOUR!! Don't look for alternatives-Platinum Heritage Desert Tour is classy, comfortable and one-of-a-kind. It was worth every penny and exceeded all our expectations. Needless to say, it was the best day ever!! It was packed with adventure, culture and information. We were picked up by our guide Tiago in a clean and comfortable SUV and taken to the vintage Land Rover pick up point. The ride in the Land Rover was a thrill and very safe and I would say much more environmentally friendly than dune bashing since animals do reside in the sand. At each stop we were provided with ample opportunity to take photos. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable we learnt much about the Dubai desert, its plants and wildlife, the Bedouins and a history of Dubai. We were greeted at the falconry exhibition with a drink. The falconry show was enjoyable with a breathtaking sunset. We were then taken to the traditional Bedouin camp where there were even more activities, lots to eat and drink much variety and vegan options as well and loads of entertainment, including camel riding, cultural dance and music. There was excellent hospitality all throughout this tour from pick-up to drop off and very classy parting gifts. You even have an opportunity to purchase professional photos and drone videos of the experience, so consider your budget if you want this memento. Keep in mind that part proceeds from this tour goes back to desert conservation so you are positively contributing to the Dubai desert.”

I recommend this for authentic safari dinner with cultural respect. Only 80 people so camp doesn't feel crowded. Chose as wanted to do open air landrovers, nature reserve instead of dune bashing. Free camel riding and falcon show, sheeshas. Excellent food. Well worth the extra cost.”

Being our first visit to Dubai and with only 2 nights this tour seemed like the perfect introduction to the old Dubai. Loved the vintage jeeps with the open tops driving through the desert dunes, seeing animals grazing in the dessert, the falcon show and of course the camp with traditional dinner and entertainment. Our guide was knowledgable and engaged through the whole night as were the rest of the team. I highly recommend this tour as either a couple or family, just remember to take a warm jacket as it gets freezing at night.”

Everything about this experience was great! It is as local of an experience as you can get. It was wonderful to see the men dancing with the drums, the local food was delicious and our driver was very knowledgeable. All of the guides were very friendly and helpful. My trip was in February and as soon as the sun sets it get chilly. Make sure you bring a jacket.”
