Day 1


Welcome to Lithuania, upon arrival you'll be met and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city. The rest of the day is at leisure until your welcome meeting late this afternoon, held in the lobby of your hotel.

Day 2

Vilnius Medieval Old Town

Today we explore the beautiful old town of Vilnius. With over 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches, Vilnius is a cultural and architectural tour de force. We'll embark on a walking tour to discover the highlights of the amazing old town this morning. Starting at the Vilnius Cathedral we'll see the Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St Anne's Church, the Old University and finally the Gates of Dawn.

This afternoon you'll have the opportunity to join an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania. The tour will include a visit to the well preserved and imposing Trakai Castle, perched on a beautiful island in the middle of Lake Galve. This evening there will be an optional folklore dinner at Restaurant Belmontas.

Day 3

Hill of Crosses

Departing Vilnius we head one of the most important religious sites in Lithuania, the Hill of Crosses. Destroyed on a number of occasions by the Soviets, it's estimated that over 100,000 crosses have been placed at the hill since it was last desecrated in the 1970's. The next part of the journey sees us cross into Latvia before we reach the magnificent Rundale Palace. This former summer residence of the Duke of Courland, this beautiful palace was completed in 1768 and has 138 rooms. After we've enjoyed a guided tour of the palace we'll travel through the rolling hills of Southern Latvia, arriving into the charming city of Riga late this afternoon.

Day 4

Highlights of Riga

The largest of the three Baltic capitals, Riga was founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert. The city today is a tremendous mixture of architectural styles and colourful buildings. Our walking tour will take us past some of the highlights of the city including the Freedom Monument, the Dome Cathedral, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers and the Large and Small Guild. We'll also make our way to Riga Castle, construction on the current building was started in 1497 and completed in 1515 and underwent a major renovation in 2012.

This afternoon an optional tour to the vibrant Latvian seaside resort of Jurmala is offered. In the evening you'll have the opportunity to witness and hear an optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral.

Day 5


Today offers you free time to explore Riga on your own.

There will also be optional tours on offer. This morning there is an optional tour to Gauja National Park, with stunning scenery and a tranquil atmosphere it's a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. You'll also visit the town of Sigulda and learn about the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida. A stop will also be made at the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and the Castle of the Knights of the Sword.

The optional activity this afternoon is a trip to the Riga Motor Museum, home to an impressive collection of vintage cars including a unique collection of old Soviet limousines from the Kremlin Garage. This evening you'll have the opportunity to join an optional Latvian dinner at Restaurant Forest.

Day 6


We continue along the Baltic coastal highway today, departing Latvia we make our way into Estonia and reach the summer resort city of Parnu. This colourful town, along with it's long sandy beach, is a perfect summer retreat for Estonians and foreigners alike. After a short tour we continue through the beautiful forests of Northern Estonia and arrive into the capital, Tallinn, in the early afternoon.

Day 7

Old Town of Tallinn

The beautiful city of Tallinn is a exciting mix of colourful medieval architecture, interesting galleries and a bustling coffee culture. We'll enjoy a walking tour through the old town this morning. We'll head past the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Old Town Hall and the Great Guild Hall. We'll also make a stop at Toompea Castle, an ancient stronghold which is now home to the Estonian Parliament.

This afternoon you'll have the opportunity to further explore Tallinn independently or join an optional tour to Kadriorg Park and the award winning KUMU art museum. This evening there is the option to enjoy a medieval dinner at Restaurant Maikrahv.

Day 8

Tallinn to Helsinki

This morning is free for you to further explore Tallinn as you wish. Alternatively, an optional tour to Lahemaa National Park is offered. The tour will visit Palmse Manor, a memorial to the von Pahlen family, before continuing to Sagadi Manor, both being incredible examples of Baroque architecture. The tour will also visit the 16th century Vihula Manor where you'll find the Vodka Museum, with enough time to sample a little of the local spirit.

In the afternoon the group will reconvene and we'll make our way to the ferry terminal for our sailing across the Gulf of Finland. Arriving into Helsinki we'll disembark and a transfer will take us to our hotel in the centre of the city.

Day 9

Happening Helsinki

Overflowing with magnificent architecture, inlets and islands, Helsinki is a city that is famed for functional, stylish design. We'll explore the city this morning, starting with the harbour we'll make our into the city, we'll walk around Senate Square where we'll find the main attraction, the Lutheran Cathedral. We'll then head up Mannerheim Street and past the Parliament building, Finlandia Hall and the Sibelius Monument. We'll also visit the world famous Church in the Rock, with it's incredible acoustics it plays host to many concerts.

This afternoon there is an optional excursion to Suomenlinna Fortress, this cultural treasure was constructed in the 18th Century as a sea fortress. Located on an island, fortress is a unique attraction for visitors. The evening offers optional Finnish dinner at Restaurant Salve.

Day 10

Vyborg Castle

This morning we'll make our way along the Gulf of Finland coast and across the border into Russia. Our first stop today will the beautiful town of Vyborg, a quaint city where you'll find romantic cobblestone streets lined by Finnish art-nouveau buildings. The city is dominated by the medieval Vyborg castle where we'll stop for a short period before we continue on to the 'Venice of the North', St Petersburg.

Day 11

Sublime St. Petersburg

With some of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in all of Europe, along with fantastic Neo-Gothic buildings and Soviet era dwellings, St Petersburg is a feast for the eyes. From imperial palaces to world famous museums and the many canals that intersect the city, there is plenty to see and do in this fascinating city. We'll explore the city this morning, visiting some of the incredible highlights of the city including the Peter-Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace, St Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of the Bleeding Saviour and the Nevsky Convent.

This afternoon offers an optional trip to Zarskoye Selo with the impressive Catherine’s Palace.

This evening you'll have the option to visit Nikolaevsky Palace to witness a Russian Folklore show with Russian "Champagne" and snacks.

Day 12

St Petersburg

Today offers the opportunity to explore the incredible city of St Petersburg independently.

You'll also have the opportunity to join a optional morning and afternoon tour. This morning the optional tour will take you to the town of Peterhof and the immense Grand Palace, where you'll get to discover the beautiful sculpted gardens, fountains and ornate architecture of the area.

This afternoon there will be an optional excursion to the world famous Hermitage Art Museum, home to the world's largest painting collection. The evening offers an optional Russian dinner at Restaurant Pryanosti & Radosti.

Day 13

St Petersburg

Today marks the end of your trip through the Baltics, Helsinki and St Petersburg. A transfer will be provided to take you to the airport for your onward flight.
