My tour was at 8:30AM and Alex our tour guide was already waiting for us. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He spoke perfect English and even gave us some background on overall Greece. He answered every question and took many pictures of us. The tour lasted about 4 hour and was around $50-$60 US per person. You can do all the sight seeing by yourself but if this is your first time to Greece I highly recommend taking a tour first. Nothing beats someone explaining culture and history while seeing it with your own eyes rather than seeing it and guessing how each monument came to be. One last thing. Be prepared to walk a lot on uneven pavement/uphill/downhill. Wear comfortable shoes or you’ll be in pain later.

If you like Greek history and Greek mythology, which go hand in hand, you will love this tour. Not only do you visit all the main sites and take in the breathtakingly views, it is very informative. It is not rushed so there is ample time to take photos, ask questions and there is a couple of opportunities to take a quick break. You will have to buy a combination ticket for €30 at the temple of Zeus which allows entry into the sites on the tour. However the ticket also allows you entry into sites which are not on the tour and is valid for 2 days. The tour guide was fantastic and enthusiastic and also offered to take photos for everyone so they can all be in the pic.

Our guide was Dora, and she was great. We went the end of october and our english group was thankfully small with 8, therefore we were able to hear what our guide was saying the whole time.We started at the Temple of Zeus and made our way to the Acropolis which was amazing! I love the stories and mythology that Dora incorporated into the history of the ancient ruins. We did not feel rushed and had enough free time at each of the stops. The weather was great for walking and we would recommend this tour!

In traveling with my two teens I wanted to do a tour they would enjoy too. The whole family enjoyed! I forgot the name of our guide but she was from the Netherlands and did an excellent job.

We spent 14 days in Greece and my ten yr old daughter rates the tour we had with Alex the best day. I agree with her. He is a fountain of knowledge on all things Athens of course but he delivered with such clarity and humour. It’s like having a lesson in the field from a genuinely engaging teacher. The way Alex combines pillars of classical Greece and our walk is truly enjoyable. The balance he held between mythology, history and architecture is definitely beyond your everyday tour. I hope you can find the same guide!

This was an excellent tour to see many different archaeological sites of Athens. The 30 euro combo ticket was not included, but you are able to go to 7 different sites over a 5 day period. You see the Temple of Zeus, Acropolis, and Greek Agora on this tour and my husband and I were able to see other sites on our own as well. Demetra was our tour guide and she did a great job telling stories about the Greek myths, which were super interesting and fun to hear. Would definitely recommend this tour!

My husband and I were on a Mediterranean Cruise for our honeymoon and were only in Athens for a day, so we booked this tour to maximize our time in Athens. We are big fans of mythology and this tour combined history and mythology perfectly. We were able to explore various historic landmarks and hear both history and mythology surrounding these monuments. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, kind, and fun so we enjoyed spending 4+ hours with her throughout this tour, despite being in a hot and humid climate.

A great tour of multiple sites in Athens, our tour guide was friendly and gave a mix of historical information and mythology. If you are a huge Greek Mythology buff, you will probably not learn anything new, but it will still be enjoyable. Try to go on a day when it is not too hot (the Acropolis is murder on a hot day). At the Acropolis, we had the unfortunate luck of going when the cruise ships were also touring (which the tour guide said tends to be tuesdays and thursdays, though that may change in the future) and it was extremely crowded getting in, but once you are in the Acropolis proper, you are no longer packed in like a sardine.

First of all, our tour guide Kostas, was very good in making sure the tour kept on schedule, we had plenty of shade and allowed us to ask questions. I recommend this tour for anyone looking for an introduction into the mythology behind athens.

Perfect tour for us! Ava was an amazing guide with great knowledge. Wear comfortable shoes for there is some walking involved. Doesn't include entrance tickets, but very easy to get them at the entrance! Ava was an amazing guide with great knowledge. She gave us ample time and fielded all of our questions. Great way to hit the highlights!

Nik was very knowledgeable and fielded questions easily. We chose this tour to get a perspective that is different from all the strictly historical tours. Nik explained the monuments and then told us why they were chosen and built from both a mythological and political viewpoint. It brought into focus why the ancient Greeks did what they did. I know a bit about history but Nik kept showing us things I didn’t know. Loved the tour!

We chose this tour because it sounded like it would appeal to the myth lovers in our group, both children and adults. The tour was more than expected as our guide not only focused on the myths of the places we visited and the gods associated with them, but he was also was able to answer our archaeological questions and provide a lot of the history of the areas seen. It was a lot of walking and incredibly hot on the day of our tour, but our guide was extremely considerate of all and took many breaks in the shade so everyone could keep up and no one felt overtaxed. This was educational and well worth the time and cost. He also provided us with recommendations for nearby restaurants after the tour and the one we chose was excellent and a great place to relax with great food and an ice cold drink after a long morning of walking in the Athens heat.

This is a fun tour. Wear good shoes as some areas are slippery. We saw many people falling. The meeting spot is a little tricky.

Our tour guide Marika was very informative and animated. She clearly was very passionate about her subject. She gave us a great background of the main gods at the beginning and then lead us through several important sites at a very comfortable pace considering the very hot weather. One of the best tours we have gone on and we’ve been on countless tours.

I really enjoyed this tour!! You got to hear the great mythological stories while learning some Athens history as well. My husband wasn't looking forward to this tour because he doesn't enjoy mythology like I do, but he was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it.

We did the tour on wednesday, 5/28 with a family of five on a group tour. Our tour guide was excellent! She was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, telling us the mythology, and connecting the myth with history in a way that was very easy to understand and remember, and interesting stories and facts. We loved her and the tour. Highly recommend.

Alex was such a great tour guide my family was jealous when we saw him with other tourists. He has such a vast knowledge of Greek history with excellent English.

I would definitely recommend this tour. Cat was a great tour guide, engaged everyone in group. It is good to remember that you have to pay an extra 30€ for the sites

I'd like to start off by saying that we had went to about half of these sites the day prior at our leisure and with no guide. The difference between winging it and having an amazing guide like Kelly was substantial! I've always been intrigued by Greek mythology, and Kelly was fluent in all things Greek and mythology. Answered all of the guests questions and gave a detailed story at each site, linking modern day Athens and it's history in an interesting and intriguing way.Bring your most comfy pair of walking shoes, a bottle of water or two and be prepared to be impressed.Note that you will be required to buy an additional admission ticket for 30 euros for all of the sites you will visit (but well worth it). If you only have a day or two in Athens, this is worth your time.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide Johanna was awesome:and knowledgeable and very friendly. Note that there is a €30 entrance fee for each person in addition to the tour. This tour has a lot of walking, and climbing crumbling rock steps. There is a lot of marble underfoot and it get very slippery. Wear light clothing and very comfortable shoes. We went in early Sept and it was 96 degrees. I brought an umbrella and lots of water. It wa a pretty intense but totally worth it!
