Everything about this tour was awesome except the little drive into Slovakia. I don't understand why this was of importance other than to possible see Hungary from across the Danube. Since it was during the day and nothing was lit up, it mostly served as a waste of time

Having seen the City of Budapest on a Segway for 2 hours and walked the shopping district we took the Danube Bend Day Trip. It was a splendid day out on a Coach into Slovakia to see a Basilica in Esztergrom then onto enjoy a 3 course lunch with panoramic views over the Danube Bend and then to a lively little town with lots of small shops and eating places where we took the 1 hour boat trip back to Budapest, enjoying the river views as we neared the City just in time to see the magnificent buildings showing off their prominence in the evening floodlights. A super trip, a great day out of the city.

Excellent tour. We were very lucky with the weather and our tour guide Elena was very knowleadgeable, though some times we got to much information. She was very chatty and full of dates and facts. The lunch was better than expected, I could not finish it! In a beautiful scenic restaurant, wich was a plus. The trip back in the boat was really good also.

Nice drive, with an excellent good driver and good guiding. Timings were great except the return boat trip, we had to wsit longer than adviced, but any ways that won't spoil this fantastic tour. Forgot to mention the superb lunch that we were given in a breath taking views restaurant.

We were in very good hands with Lazlo, our tour guide. The first stop at St. Steven's was awesome. Our hilltop lunch was excellent. the quaint town of stendre was beautiful and the boat ride back was relaxing.

Very enjoyable day trip to the Danube Bend. The trip allowed a visit to the countryside, away from the city. The stop in Esztergom was wonderful with a visit to the beautiful Esztergom Basilica which stands on the bank of the Danube, overlooking Slovakia. After departing, our next stop was lunch at a nearby restaurant on our way to Szentendre which was a cute little town along the Danube. Many shops and people watching was quite enjoyable in the main square. At the conclusion of our stay, we boarded a boat to continue our return to Budapest on the Danube. Excellent day trip that concluded at the dock area in Budapest, where we started.

This was a wonderful day-long tour. We covered a lot of ground and had plenty of time to see the sights at each stop. The lunch was very good and was in a really lovely spot with gorgeous views. going by bus and then coming back by boat on the Danube was so nice because we weren't retracing our steps. What made this tour the most memorable for me in addition to the places we visited was our wonderful informative guide - Judith. She was very knowledgeable and provided extensive commentary about the various sites and their history throughout the day. Very informative.

This tour has been a highlight of our travels. The guide, Laszlo, spoke excellent English and his knowledge of the region and the history of the Hungarian/Austrian/Slovakian people very interesting. The bus was comfortable, the lunch was good (but not great) and the return to Budapest was a relaxing conclusion to the day.

We are rating this 5 stars simply because this was a great value and convenient option to see a couple small Hungarian towns and visit Slovakia for a few minutes. We had a great time on this tour! The tour guide seemed like a lovely person but we did not feel it added much to the experience, so we were glad that we were given tons of free time to roam around in each place. The locations the tour stopped in were beautiful. It would be helpful if the tour provided some sort of pamphlet with recommended areas to visit in each town, perhaps. The provided lunch we thought was very tasty, and we requested a vegetarian option and there was no issue. We rode on a large bus for most of the tour, and then took a boat back on the Danube, which gave the trip even more value. The only minus was that we waited outside for our scheduled pickup, and after 20 minutes the cab hadn't arrived to our airbnb address a very central location and easy to find. We only had cell service using wifi, so we went back upstairs into our airbnb and called the contact, who put us on hold and called the driver, and then told us the taxi was there. We went back outside and he pulled up shortly after, and it turned out he was waiting at the wrong address. This added about 30 minutes of confusion to the start of our day, which was a little annoying, but not the end of the world. This was our only complaint - an organizational issue - and the rest of the tour was totally worth the minor annoyance.

This was a tremendous tour. It was a wet day but no matter the knowledgable tour guide was interesting and informative. A nice lunch stop lunch provided made the tour great value. Sitting back to watch the countryside roll by made for a relaxing and enjoyable day. All in all I would recommend this tour to others looking to see a bit of Hungary outside of the city.

I enjoyed this trip and I loved our guide! She was so adorable, very friendly and had a wealth of information. She had in-depth insight into every single question that was asked of her. I also loved that this tour would stop at scenic places as well as historical ones. It was a nice mix of history, culture and scenery! Also met some great people!
