This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Vatican Museums, Viale Vaticano, 00120 Vatican City Italy

Vatican tours with skip-the-line access are sought-after, so even the fast-track lines are long. This experience includes admission through a special entrance, so there are no lines whatsoever. Follow your guide directly inside the vast collection of private artwork that is the Vatican Museums.

Walk through the Gallery of the Maps and Gallery of Tapestries as you listen to tales of Vatican intrigue. Gaze at artifacts such as timeworn yet fascinating Italian maps, and admire the sculptures and candelabras of the Gallery of Candelabras. Stop for photos in front of the Pigna statue in the Pinecone Courtyard, designed by Dontao Bramante.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Sistine Chapel, Viale Vaticano, 00165 Vatican City Italy

Pass through the rooms, and then step inside the Sistine Chapel — the pope’s personal place of worship and a highlight of any Vatican trip. Stand beneath Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam, which cloaks the ceiling, and admire The Last Judgement, his colorful mural that adorns a wall.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Stanze di Raffaello, Viale Vaticano, Vatican City Italy

Raphael’s Rooms are a series of galleries that highlight the talent of the lauded Renaissance artist himself.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: St. Peter's Basilica, Piazza San Pietro, 00120 Vatican City Italy

After your Sistine Chapel visit, continue to St Peter’s Basilica, the symbolic heart of the Catholic church. Learn about its history and see more Vatican art including Michelangelo’s La Pietà, which was sculpted when the maestro was only 24 years old. Gaze at the baldachino by Bernini, and then say goodbye to your guide in St Peter’s Square.

Keep in mind that St Peter's Basilica and St Peter's Square might be unavailable on Wednesdays due to the weekly Papal Audience. As an alternative, you'll be offered an extended itinerary within the Vatican Museums, which still includes the Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Rooms.

If you want to make sure that St Peter's Basilica and Square are included in your tour, don't select Wednesday as your travel date. If you want to enhance your Vatican experience, select one of the following experiences: Small-Group Tour at 8:10am:

Great guide and great tour. Very crowded but easy to hear and understand everything. We loved our visit and even our children were entertained well.

You really don’t wait on line at any point. The guide was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and happy to answer questions. It was well worth it.

Tour was top notch! Our guide was super knowledgeable, spoke clear English, and considerate of our son that was traveling on crutches. She led us through the heavy traffic of Christmas visitors to see and explain all the highlights in the museum, the Sistine Chapel, and the basilica. Worth the time and money; so much good information (still didn't get to see everything of course) and skipping the line was fantastic, since the normal line was winding down the block and moving slowly; we walked right in. Very good experience with various City Wonders tours.

Our guide Alessandro was experienced and knowledgeable, and was able to manoeuvre the group through crowds. Enjoyed the narrative and avoiding queues. Recommended

Our guide was knowledgeable, organised and friendly. She offered an excellent tour of the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Highly recommended.

Well organised tour with guide who was extremely knowledgeable and gave ongoing information to the group.

Perfect pace to see and hear the facts surrounding the Vatican, basilica, and the chapel. Our guide highlighted the most interesting parts of each. There is too much to try to absorb it on your own.

Our guide was Nicola and our tour was great! He enlighted all the major aspects of the Flavius Anfitheater aka Coliseum and the Roman Forum. Me and my family loved the experience!

Finding the tour was not a problem as once you get to the desingated meeting spot there are many people there to assist you. Our semi-private group had only 12 people in it and the guide was simply amazing. He was super knowledgeable and equally funny. I don't usually write review but the experience was simply so wonderful that I had share. Our favorite part of the tour was St. Peter's Basilica- so much to see and it was genuinely breathtaking.

as a first timer to ROME, i am glad that i booked this toor. The guide was knowledgeable, provided anecdote and comedy to describe what we were witnessing. Overall, truly enjoyed this experience my first time around.

The company ran perhaps 6 groups on the day, populated and launched as people arrived. So, there was nothing wrong with arriving early. Indeed, as a result you are grouped with others who tend to arrive early. There is a lot to see and the tour covered it all, quickly. We definitely want to go back to spend more time in the Vatican museum. The guide was excellent. She gave us plenty of time to enjoy the key sites, with plenty of personal colour.

All of the classic art pieces in one place! Our tour guide was especially wonderful, so full of information and history, making the experience terrific. If there is any downfall, it was the short amount of time we were allowed to spend in the Sistine much detail to see, and 15 minutes was not enough. The Basilica was especially wonderful, so beautiful in every way. And don't miss the hike to the top...totally worth the fun and the view.

She was an awesome tour guide!! Very knowledgeable about the sites. Smart and funny. Would recommend the tour to everyone.

This tour was exactly what our family needed. We are novices with Vatican history and wanted to understand what we were seeing, but not too much detai . Marie was great. And skip the line lived up to its name, we has very little wait even considering security.

Though it was extremely crowded, our guide was fabulous! Managed to move us through the crowds quickly while emphasizing all the highlights! Well worth it!

This was such a great experience with our tour guide Ana. She was knowledgeable, passionate, funny and organised. We have travelled extensively and she is one of the best guides, if not the best, we have had!!. Finding the start of the tour spot was well organised with other staff corralling the many people booked for the tours. The Vatican was amazing if course but it can be spoilt with an unorganised company and guides, lucky we had Ana

This was the best tour we had in Rome. I can't imagine seeing the Vatican, Sistine Chapel or St. Peter's Basilica in any other way. Our tour guide, Nicole, was fantastic and really brought meaning to the art and architecture. I would have missed so much if it were not for this guide. This was definitely the best money spent on this trip.

Excellent guide. Immediate entry included museums, Sistine chapel, and St. Peter’s. Skipped lines that were incredibly long.

We attended this tour October 3rd, 2019. This tour was long and involved a lot of walking, but included so much detail about the history of Rome. It was awesome to be able to skip the lines and move in and out of these places quickly. Definitely recommend if it is your first time in Rome, and if you are looking for a thorough tour!

Our guide was great. Even though she couldn't talk to us in the Sistene Chapel or St. Peter's Basilica, we knew what to look for. Well paced tour

This is the only way to see the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's. It's impossible to do it on your own. David was phenomenal! He knew so much information and answered all questions. The tour ends in St. Peter's so there's plenty of time to sit and soak it all in.
