We had a fabulous time with our tour guide Uri and the great drivers from Cancun Adventures. We got water, snacks, and cool towels to stay comfortable during the trip. Tulum was picturesque with iguanas relaxing on the ruins and a beautiful beach you can relax by. The cave was beautiful and Uri was very knowledgable about the animals and geology of the cave. Lunch was served on a quiet beach under a thatched roof. Easily the best tour we took in Cancun!!

This tour was excellent. Cancun Adventures was great and so professional. Our tour guide Veronica was fabulous and so informative. Our driver between Cancun and Tulum was also excellent. I would definitely recommend this company!

We enjoyed a great tour of Tulum. Heriberto and Edwin were our guides and did an excellent job. We were picked up at our hotel lobby along with 8 others on our way to Tulum. Heriberto was well knowledged on the archaeological site. After our tour we had time to shop before getting on the bus to the underground caverns in the jungle. We participated in a Mayan ritual and blessing when we arrived then swam in the caverns touring the rock formations. We had a buffet lunch at a beachside restaurant before returning back to our hotel. I would highly recommend this tour with Heriberto and Edwin.

This tour was great. Our driver, Samuel was on time. Our tour guide, Uri was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We had a small group of 8 people. Uri brought snacks and drinks. The lunch was decent but the beach club was not what I expected, we weren't there long but I give the beach club 3 starts.

Alex was amazing and the tour was informative. It gave us a great history and context. The lunch was great, the ruins were cool and the caving was comical and fun. Alex made the tour worth it!

This is definitely a great tour. First my husband and I got picked up from our hotel in Playa Del Carmen and picked up a few other travelers from theirs. There was a total of 10 people in our tour group. Our guides Heriberto and Mateo were wonderful and knowledgable. Heriberto broke up the drive to Tulum about an hour with pictures and information about history and wildlife found in the Yucatan Peninsula. Once we got to Tulum he took us around the ruins and shared more history, artifacts, etc. We got about an hour of free time, but keep in mind the walk back to the meeting spot takes 20 minutes at least so free time was a little short. The tour with Heri and the heat made it so you didn't want to much free time. After Tulum we went to a remote area and got blessed by a Shamon and later swam in a pristine underwater cave. I would definitely recommend wearing your bathing suit and bring a towel. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico. Heriberto made it even more fantastic.

I have taken tours all over Central America and the Caribbean, but this was by far the most memorable and enjoyable experience of them all. We stayed in Cancun so we had about a 2 hour drive to and from Tulum, our driver Edwin picked us up promptly at 6:45am and made us feel safe and comfortable for the long ride. We made a quick stop to pick up the rest of the group in Playa Del Carmen in addition to our incredible your guide, Said, and made our way to the ruins at Tulum. Said was extremely knowledgeable about every inch of the archaeological site and was very well-spoken and a great story teller. I was learning so much about the rich history of the Mayans and the surrounding nature that I almost forgot it was 100 degrees and felt like I was melting. I appreciated that Said was very intuitive and let us decide as a group how long we wanted to venture out on our own before heading to the underground river. There's some great souvenir shopping outside of the archaeological site but beware, as some places are far more pricey than others you can haggle with the vendors outside. Once back in the van, we were greeted by Said and Edwin with snacks and cold water bottles. It look about 30 minutes to get to the caves in the jungle, once you get out of the van, the entrance is only a few steps away. The cave swim was so incredible, I don't think my words can do it justice. Again, every step of the way Said had something new to show us and teach us the significance. The water was very cold although Said prefers we call it fresh and there are times that you need to duck your head to get through the cave. Once we all left the cave, we were treated to a delicious local lunch of ceviche, rice, beans, chips, guacamole, etc. your typical Mexican fare at one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. After lunch we jumped back into the van and arrived at our hotel in Cancun by 4pm. This tour was great for all -- young, old, big, or small. We are already looking into booking our next tour in Mexico to Chichen Itza and to swim with the whale sharks. Do not hesitate to book this tour, it was one of the coolest things I've ever done. Oh and don't forgot to tip your guide and driver, you wouldn't be able to do this with such ease without them! :

Had a great trip to Tulum and the underground swim. Swam in a cenote earlier during the vacation, but the cave swim was much different. Our driver and guide were awesome Pedro and Jacob. Jacob did a great job explaining the history and significance of Tulum, and took us through the cave. They gave us time to wander around Tulum on our own which was a good touch. Trip to Tulum was great, Jacob explained what the plan was for the day, and refreshments were provided, in addition to a lunch at the beach after the swim. I messed up the booking and Viator changed the tour to the next day with no problem. We really enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend it.

This tour was absolutely perfect. 5-hour tour from 9 - 3 approximately travel time not included. The Tulum Ruins were amazing and our tour guide was so knowledgeable. Special treats were ready for us in the van after the rather hot but expected temperature of the Tulum tour. We took a much anticipated cool swim in a newly discovered Cenote. Swimming in a Cenote is an absolute must for any traveler to Cancun. We stopped mid-way back to Cancun for a beachside lunch and were able to stay and relax for some time. Every step of the way, we were told what to expect when we arrived. It was a small, intimate group of only 8 so we got to know each other. We were treated so very well throughout the entire day!

Our tour was the best! Everything was exactly on schedule and was thoroughly explained as we went along. Our guide, Charlie, could not have been better. He was informative, attentive and funny. We had 4 in our party and picked up another group of 6, so it was a manageable size. The ruins were interesting and we had ample time to wander on our own. The cave swim was so much fun! One group member had a GoPro which took amazing underwater pictures. And the beach lunch after was a great end of the day. I would highly recommend this tour if you want a variety of things to do but not tie up an entire day. We enjoyed being on a smaller 12 person van rather than a huge tour bus.

Noe our tour guide did an excellent history of Tulum. It was crowded, but he made sure we had some shade and quiet area. The underground river was excellent, cool and exciting. The lunch was superb!! Great location along the beach, easy to do a beach walk after eating. Highly recommend adding to your list of things to do in Cancun even if you have a nice drive to get there.

The pick up was on time and very clean. All our drivers and tour guide were great. They supplied snacks and cold water. When we got back to the van after the tour, they gave us cool scented towels to wipe off with... a nice tough after the warm outing. We did the half day in Tulum only, but heard from others that the underground river swim was amazing. We will difinitely put that on our list next time.

This was an amazing tour. Sebastion was our tour guide and he did a wonderful job with our bilingual group. He conducted the whole tour in both English and Spanish which was a great way to gain some exposure to the language. The underground river swim was at Dos Ojos cenote. It was beautiful, we were guided so far into the cave where you could no longer see the entrance. Life jackets and helmets were required and we swam at a relatively slow pace so you could look around. I definitely recommend bringing some extra cash to tip the guide and the driver. It's not required, but it's the classy thing to do. Also make sure you verify your pick up arrangements by calling. Great experience and way to see both Mayan ruins and the underground river system in the same day.

We booked this tour on Viator, which is recommended through TripAdvisor as well. We did the Tulum Underground Cave swim, and it was a very good deal. It was a small, personalized tour of 7 people. They want you to call at least 48 hours ahead to confirm you are still going, which we did through our hotel concierge. The driver, I think Manuel, was fantastic. We were first on the pick up list. There were 2 other couples and 1 other woman. Van was air conditioned and comfortable. It is a bit of a ride, with one stop at a little convenience store where we used the bathrooms and picked up our tour guide, Jeronimo. Jeronimo was wonderful. He was very lax, personable, informative. On the ride there, he showed us a large map of Mexico to explain where we going and a little about the Mayan expansion and demise. When we arrived, we were told to use sunscreen, sunglasses, and umbrellas, They also handed out water and large umbrellas. Once we got through the entrance and very commercialized marketplace, we realized it was very crowded. We had stickers to indicate our group. We stopped periodically where Jeronimo told us about different aspects of the area, the Mayas, the flora and fauna, etc. His guided tour took about an hour, including time to take pics. He would even take them for your. There were iguanas everywhere too! After his part of the tour, we had about another hour to wander around. None of our group opted to go the actual beach. But it was very beautiful to look at. Hard to get pics of things, as people were everywhere doing the same thing. As we exited the area, there was a vendor with water and popsicles for sale at the bottom of the stairs. You could either walk or ride the tram back to the entrance We walked. Bathrooms were in the gift shop. The gift shop was overpriced so we went to the other market vendors. You get a better deal if you pay in pesos and speak a little Spanish. If you use a credit card, you will get a better exchange rate, bu

Our tour guide Hector was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. The scenery was breath taking. Tulum beach was incredible. Would have loved to spend more time there. The underground River Swim was quite the experience, as someone who does not swim well - Hector made the experience enjoyable and memorable as he remained by my side during the entire swim. Thank you so much to the crew that helped make this experience memorable for my family and I.

Top ranks here, also after the tour, the van was already air conditioned, bottled water supplied, and get this, treats if you were inclined, but to top it all off was the welcomed cooled wet towlette for everyone! superb people and a superb historic attraction highly recommended.

Exactly one week ago, I had the most amazing experience visiting Tulum Ruins (half-day tour) with Viator. I was picked up in prompt fashion, a two hour drive from Club Med-Cancun to Tulum, and rode in a comfortable and air conditioned van. I was accompanied by 9 guests and our friendly and good driver, Francisco. After 45 minutes, we arrived to Playa del Carmen, where we picked up our fabulous tour guide, Patricia. She brought iced bottled waters and fresh bananas and large umbrellas for our tour. We had another 45 minute drive from Playa del Carmen to Cancun, and during that duration, Patricia was very engaging and shared with us her knowledge about Mayan culture and her passion for Tulum and the Yucatan. Once we arrived to Tulum, we entered through a less crowded area and we were handed the waters and umbrellas, a nice perk to walk amidst the sun! We made a stop first at the toilets since there are none inside the walled city. We then walked together and enjoyed the illuminating tour by Patricia, which lasted close to an hour. We witnessed the incredible constructions of the Mayas that are still holding today and in great shape, some from as early as 900bc, and set against a magnificent view of the ocean. There's a nice breeze and surrounded by tall tress for shading. We then had 50 more minutes to walk on our own, photograph the beautiful scenery and swim in the beach. We all met again and walked back to the toilets for our last stop and then we were given more bottled water and the best tasting bananas and some crackers too, which was very generous! This tour was very well timed. Do note, that it's close to 6 hrs duration since the van will pick up/drop off guests at their hotel resorts, so take that into consideration. Tulum is a must see! Nice meeting you all! and Thank you Patricia! :)

Great trip; however I would recommend booking the trip directly through the company that actually handles the tour- Cancun Adventures. They were exceptional, and very knowledgeable, and really made the trip a great success.
