Following a pickup from your hotel or riad (a traditional Moroccan house) in Marrakech, transfer by minivan to the camel base and meet your guide. Listen to a quick introduction on how to ride your camel in safety then — with your included cheich (a nomad scarf designed to protect the head from the strong sun) on — climb onto your camel’s back to begin your tour. Follow your camel guide in caravan formation and feel free to let your guide know if you’re not entirely comfortable.

Travel with your guide through lush palm groves and over rocky desert to a traditional Berber village. Meet with the local Moroccan inhabitants and see for yourself how they live today on the outskirts of Marrakech surrounded by a desert environment.

About half way along your journey, enjoy a warm welcome into a local family home for a refreshing snack of Moroccan tea and pancakes. Relax, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a drink and a chat in the sun. This short stop-off is also the perfect time to taste traditional mint tea, popular throughout Morocco.

When it’s time to go, wave a fond farewell to your newfound friends, climb onto your camel’s back and continue on your route. After exploring the landscape outside Marrakech, head back to your starting point and transfer back to your city hotel where your tour comes to an end.

The camels were meek and the hadlers treated them well. Photographer on site to capture the moment. Pictures are inexpensive and good quality.

This was such a lovely experience, we spent 45 minutes riding on the camel to the a garden where we sat and had a Moroccan breakfast and rode 45 minutes back. Nouredin was one of our tour guides, and he was very knowledgeable and took great care of us! Definetly recommend this tour!

This was an excellent tour. Exactly right for a short tour. The guides are excellent! The mint tea served with the snack was amazing, but even more cool was watching them prepare it. Tours include photographs for sale, but guides are willing to take any photos you ask of them.

If you go to Marrakech you MUST do this tour. The camels are beautiful and it's such an amazing experience to be in their presence. Prior to this tour I had never been around camels. The ride itself is peaceful and depending on your leader slow to moderate. The guides really love there jobs and it shows!! They engaged with us and took action photos for you. I can't remember all of there names Abdul, Mohammad and 2 others but they were equally awesome and made the experience perfect for my family and I. The tea was superb and the pancake/crepe like snacks. Tip: wearing pants is best for this tour.

This is my most pleasant experience in Marrakech. The guides were very friendly and professional. If you have a short stay in the country or can't go for an overnight camel ride in the desert, this is definitely the place to go.

Camel ride through the desert was fun. Make sure to dress in light colors as it gets hot. The visit to the village was nice, they served Moroccon tea and crepes Moroccon pancakes. One suggestion, go for the shorter camel ride, it gets tiring after a while.

This was the first time I did Camel Ridding and it was out of this world. I really enjoyed it. The people out there were superb specially Rashid. I loved their traditional tea. I strongly recommend this amazing excursion to others. Please don't miss it.

Really great trip. The tour company was extremely timely in picking me up from the hotel. The camel ride was fun, smooth and easy. The camels seemed to be treated very well. Guides walk alongside you and the camels the entire trip and the stop at home with tea and pancakes was really nice. All in all a very enjoyable trip.

Great trip at the dessert. It was no fake 20 minute walk around trip. It actually lasted almost 2 hours and included marvelous tea and food. The most important of all: the animals were well tretaed, loved and cared. Rashid, walked next to us almost two hours always singing, sending good vibes, ensuring our well being, and looking after the animals and taking pictures for us. He was the best No doubt. The best tour!

This trip was booked via Viator which I have used before. Booking with Viator is simple and everything is explained clearly. I would recommend using them. Transport collected us from and back to our hotel as previously arranged. Prompt and professional service. On arrival at the designated start point we were welcomed and offered Morrocan tea. The day's events were explained and we were were prepared for our trip with our head coverings and what to expect . Guides were fluent in English. The guide took photos for us when and where we wanted them. The Camel journey was fantastic, the guide regularly checking we were comfortable and enjoying our experience. We stopped at a Berber residence and were provided with hand washing services and then well fed with Moroccan tea and pankcakes. The man serving tea was very entertaining and the group interaction of guides and other guests about 15 of us made it even more pleasant. Following this we remounted our camels and headed back. The company also takes photos they will print straight away for you to purchase but will also email them to you at no additional cost but they will use them on their website as well. I would definately recommend this trip.
