Explore some of the highlights of Scandinavia on this 10 day tour. From the cosmopolitan Copenhagen in Denmark, to the outgoing Oslo in Norway. You'll be introduced to stunning scenery at some of Norway's most impressive Fjords, take a ride on the most beautiful train journey in the world, the Flam railway, before ending in the scintillating Swedish city of Stockholm.
Welcome to Denmark and the capital Copenhagen. A transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Copenhagen - Oslo. This morning we head out to explore Scandinavia largest city. Our tour will take us to some of the exquisite parts of the city. We'll start at the Little Mermaid, a bronze statue that guards the port, before moving on to the Royal Castle, which was completed in 1760. Continue to the beautiful area of Nyhavn, famed for it's colourful architecture and restaurants, it's also where Hans Christian Andersen wrote a number of his most engaging fairy-tales. We'll also visit the City Hall Square, a focal point in the centre of the city.
This afternoon we embark our overnight ferry which will cross the Skagerrak strait, arriving into Oslo the following morning. Dinner will be served on board.

Oslo - Eidfjord. Arriving into Oslo, we disembark and head to Hoenefoss and continue to Nesbyen. These towns are surrounded by incredible scenery, here we'll find alpine forests and shimmering lakes. Our next stop is the beautiful Hallingdal Valley, home to the town of Gol. We'll continue to Geilo, a small town surrounded by mountains.
This afternoon we visit the mountain plateu of Hardangervidda and the incredible Voringfossen waterfall which stands 182 metres high. After a day spent exploring incredible nature and breathtaking landscapes we reach the town of Eidfjord for our overnight stay. We'll enjoy a relaxed dinner at the hotel this evening.

Eidfjord - Bergen. Today we explore the stunning Norwegian scenery in more depth as we start with a visit to Hardanger Fjord. To witness this incredible piece of nature we will have to travel across an impressive piece of man made engineering, the Hardanger Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. Reaching the other side of the bridge we make our way through Nordheimsund, through a patterned birch forest, and on to Bergen - known as the capital of the Fjords. This picturesque town is located on a peninsula surrounded by 7 mountains and has easy access to the beautiful fjords that lie between them.
This afternoon you'll explore Bergen further, starting at the colourful Bryggen area of the city. This dock area of the city is a series of Hanseatic warehouses and commercial buildings, which have seen numerous fires and reconstructions over the years. We'll continue to traditional fish market before exploring the city centre where we'll find St Mary's Church and Haakon's Hall.

Bergen - Stalheim. This morning offers free time for you to explore Bergen at your own pace.
This afternoon we will travel on to the historical town of Voss. You'll be greeted by an abundance of magnificent natural beauty in Voss, from snow clad mountains to tumbling waterfalls. Next we'll make our way through Naeroy Valley and onward to Stalheim, our stop for the night, where we'll get stunning views of Stalheim Gorge. Dinner will be served at the hotel this evening.

Flam Railway & Fjords
Stalheim - Flam - Fagernes. We continue our journey through the breathtaking fjord region today. Heading through rugged terrain we reach Gudvangen and cross the Naroyfjord before we reach the picture postcard village of Flam, where you'll have the option of taking a ride on the Flam Railway, which some people argue as the most scenic railway journey in the world.
This afternoon we continue to Aurlandfjord, visiting the famous Borgund Stave Church, en route to our final destination for the day, Fagernes. This evening we'll come together for a delicious dinner at the hotel.

Fagernes - Oslo. This morning we depart Fagernes and wave goodbye to the sublime Norwegian fjords as we make our way back to the capital, Oslo. Founded in 1048, Oslo is Scandinavia's oldest capital but today is one of the most cosmopolitan and buzzing cities in the world. The architecture across the city flits between the classical and modern, with remarkable buildings such as the Oslo Opera House, which opened in 2008.
Arriving into Oslo, we'll enjoy a tour of some of the more impressive parts of the city, starting with Frogner Park, decorated with the unique sculptures of Gustav Vigeland. We'll also make our way past the City Hall and onto Karl Johans gate which leads to the Royal Palace.

Oslo - Stockholm. Today we pass through Norwegian forests before crossing the border into Sweden. Making our way across fertile farmland through thick forest and past twinkling blue lakes, you'll get a feel for the changing landscapes that are so typical of Sweden. Arriving into Stockholm this afternoon we'll check in to our hotel before the rest of the day is at leisure.

Stockholm – the beauty on the water – is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, built on 14 islands and protected from the sea by Skargarden, the Stockholm archipelago. The morning sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with the Royal Palace, Stockholm Cathedral and the city centre with its famous City Hall. The afternoon is free for you to further explore Stockholm independently.

Today marks the end of your journey through 3 incredible Scandinavian countries. A transfer will be organised to take you to Stockholm Arlanda Airport for your onward flight.
