The ATVs were a blast to drive and easy to learn even for members of the group who didn't have any prior experience. Such a great way to see the countryside of Peru.
Admission to the Salt Mines and Moray isn't included, and Moray wasn't that memorable. The Salt Mines were great, and ~30 minutes was more than enough to take pictures and check out the market before heading back.
Our guides were awesome and can't recommend enough. You'll get incredibly dusty on the trip, so a change of clothes is actually useful.”

My sister and I booked this tour pretty last minute after we realized the bike tour we originally booked left from Ollantaytambo and not Cusco. I'm glad we found this one because it wound up being one of our favorite days of the whole trip. Before I get into the review, here are some words of advice:
-Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, because you will get very dirty.
-Bring a backpack with you and extra money because souvenirs are SO CHEAP! I wish we had done this trip before Machu Picchu because the souvenirs around MP are ridiculously expensive. The shop owners in both Maras and Moray are sooooo friendly, and very willing to bargain. I got 100% alpaca slippers for 10 soles!!! They were 40 in MP. So bring a backpack because you will want to buy a ton of chocolate and salt and alpaca goods!
-This should go without saying, but wear sneakers. You may even want to wear a rain coat that is easier to clean off, rather than a sweater or just a shirt
Now onto the actual review. This tour starts out with a bus ride to Maras salt flats. You don't ride the ATVs here because the road is too dangerous. The salt flats are gorgeous and fascinating. We got a little information about how the salt forms and a little time for pictures and shopping. Buy the brown salt for soaking in the bath. It's only a sol for a small bag and it works wonders. Then you get back in the van and go to the "garage" where there are two adorable alpacas just hanging out. You can feed them and take pics. Next you learn how to ride the ATVs by doing a couple of laps near the garage and going to see a cute little church. Afterwards you head out on an AMAZING ride to the moray terraces, which is at least a 30 minute ride, going through a cute small town and countryside which I can only describe as the Tuscany of Peru. You ride alongside herds of sheep and get to see miles of farmland and some of the most gorgeous mountains I've ever seen. Finally you get to the Moray flats and again have a little bit of time for pics and shopping. Make sure you bring the entrance fee of 70 soles with you or you'll have to wait outside. The ride back to the garage is also about a half hour and just as beautiful with a slightly different route.
The ATVs are easy to operate. The tour guide was hilarious and so much fun. Everyone in both places is extremely kind and the scenery is out of this world. Definitely a highlight of our trip.”

Very fun! We took the ATV in the back so that we could have more fun. We let the person in front of us get some space so that we could go a little faster. We also didn't shift gears as suggested by the guide because we have decades of experience with ATVs. The same was not the case for other travelers. Some stalled out going uphill because they were not in the right gear or going way to slow. Rather than applying the break, they allowed themselves to crash into the ATV behind them.
Another girl almost flipped hers through what it looked like goofing off but she said she lost control. The guides did a good job controlling the situations and ensuring nobody got hurt. If you do have ATV experience, I recommend taking the machine at the end of the line to avoid frustration. We were able to see so much more or the Sacred Valley than we were able to hiking just based on the speed of the ATVs. We toured the Maras Salt Flats, but chose not to go into Moray because we didn't want to spend $35. The pictures online were good enough for us. We got extremely dirty, but had a washing machine in our AirBnB. We had to wash our clothes twice to get all the dirt off. It's to be expected, but you do want to consider your living arrangements in Cusco before booking the ATV trip. It was a great tour!”

If you like adventure and want a unique way to see Moray and Maras this is the tour for you! The guides were helpful and made sure we were all comfortable operating the ATV's before we began the tour. As someone who has never ridden, let alone driven, and ATV before I felt comfortable and confident with the guides. Being able to see the beautiful scenery of the country side on an ATV was exhilarating and made the experience more memorable opposed to taking a van to these sites. With this tour, the ATV ride really is the main experience so we only got about 20-30 minutes at each site. However, never once did we feel rushed. We had enough time to snap some photos and explore the sites before heading back to the ATV's. At Maras, our guide had his own market stand and was nice enough to let us try the different types of salt along with a variety of chocolates. They also gave the option to see a lagoon nearby instead of traveling to Moray. My friend and I decided to go to Moray but the rest of the group had great things to say about the lagoon. Because it's a half day tour, we were able to do this before flying out to Lima later in the afternoon. I am so thankful we decided to do this. One of the highlights of our trip!”

Great tour of the countryside! The tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful. If you’re not interested in seeing the salt flats or other attractions, you can just ask them for a straight up ATV tour and drive around for the two hours seeing villages and mountains and livestock. Lots of fun”

The ATVs are nice and function well. They are easy to use and make the tour a lot of fun. There is not much time to stop at the two spots because the purpose of the tour is to ride the ATVs. I would do the tour again as it was a lot of fun but if you're looking to get a good look at Moray and walking around or visit the salt mines for more than 5-10 minutes then you may want to do the regular 1/2 day tour by bus.”

The tour doesn't go to a Salt Flat, but to Salt Mines. These are all above-ground and were built by the Incans. It's pretty spectacular, and a great opportunity to buy local salt, souvenirs, and chocolate. Our guides were professional and kind, and did a great job of reviewing how to drive the ATVs. If you are hesitant or have never ridden before, they teach you well and give the opportunity to warm up and get comfortable. The riding was well varied and fun, and the views the whole way were spectacular. The ATVs were practically new and very safe. Bring a jacket because it can get a little chilly.”

This was an awesome tour, and quite an adrenaline rush while riding trough the this mountainous area on ATVs. The tour guides are extremely helpful in training riders and making sure they are safe. The views are amazing and the salt mines are beyond anything that you've ever seen before. It's definitely worth it. a few things to note: it's an hour drive to and from the Cusco square. There are additional fees for entrance to Moray: 80 soles, for Salt Flats: 10 soles. Lastly, you will see so many sights that you would love to be able to grab a photo of while riding the ATVs, however, because it's so fast-paced, it's hard to do so, and still be safe on the ATV. I recommend that guides allow for a few stops along the way.”

ATV-ing was sooooo much fun. They picked us up at our hotel, on time, and early! My tour guide was Richard, who was awesome! He made sure everyone was comfortable driving the ATV, and constantly made sure the group was together and that no one was left behind. We went to the salt mines first, which was really cool, the drive on the ATV is gorgeous too. After the salt mines, you have a choice to either go to the Maras, which is the lake, or to the Moray, which cost an additional 70 sols for entrance. Our group ended up going to the lake, which was very nice. At the lake we had plenty of opportunities to take pictures. Richard was super nice and didn't mind taking millions of pictures of everyone. lol RICHARD, thank you for the amazing experience. You're our favorite ATV tour guide! :”

This was a total blast. Like the other reviews stated, we didn't get a ton of time at the locations but the whole trip was totally worth it. The hubs and I both loved it. Our guide was awesome and the views were killer”

Our guides were super friendly and kind. They made sure we had fun and were safe at all times. ATV through the sacred valley is probably one of the most amazing things we did as a family. My two kids loved it and the scenery was just incredible.. never ending mountain ranges and we passed by local villagers. Salt pans of Maras and Moray ruins are definitely worth the visit too. Electrifying... it's definitely a different world out there.”

This was exciting as I had never driven an ATV before. The guys were so nice and helpful. They were very knowledgeable. This was the best way to see some of the big destinations without spending the full day at each of them.”

Great tour of the Salt Mines and the group as a whole decided to go to Laguna Huaypo instead which provided beautiful vistas and allowed us to snake through some small towns by Cinchero.”

The ATV tour was wonderful. The scenery was to die for and we really enjoyed the salt flats and Moray areas. Guide was great.
However, the company handling the tour was TERRIBLE. Their lack of coordination was a nightmare. After multiple emails trying to understand the time frame, followed by miscommunications of where to be picked up and more, it's a miracle we made the tour at all. We booked the additional zip line tour and that was an even bigger coordination disaster, but once we got there, it was a once in a life time unbelievable experience. The guide was very professional insuring safety on what may be the world's longest zip line. Please fire Wilka Travel.”

The ATV tour was very fun and the guide was very informative, The group was quite small, so that was good.
The ATV was easy to manage and we had one for two people, which is the norm for this tour.
The tour included hotel pick-up and we were dropped back into the centre of Cusco.”

Very cool, but I wish we had more time to see Moray and Salt Pool's..... Great Trip, Our guide we're great also they Main guide spoke English, which was nice! Equipemt was also very nice! I reserved an ATV for 2 rider's and we were put on the largest one they had, Nice! Road through the country side, buzzed through some small towns and stop by a beautiful lake in the plans area near Chinchero, Peru. I would recommend verifying your reservations. If you need two ATV pay the extra costs, it's only like $10 US more per person at the time of my booking. We like ridding together so I opted to ride double and it paid off with a larger vehicle We did get the trip short because two riders were injured while trying to clime an incline with a smaller ATV with two people that initially hopped on two ATV's at the beginning but only rented 1 ATV thinking they rented 2 ATV's. So please make sure you know what your renting. Langues barriers are major in Peru..... It's not Mexico where you may find someone that speaks English more so than not.”

I took off a star because the ATV tour felt rushed. It was a great experience, but it would be nice if they made it an hour or 2 longer so you can enjoy the 2 sites. So the 2 sites are not included in the cost. It would be nice if they worked out a deal with the sites where they could get a discount and bundle the costs into the ATV tour. We skipped the first site because it was like 50 USD to be there for about 15 mins.”
