Start your Lisbon walking tour by joining a local guide in one of the city's most imposing squares, the Praça do Martim Moniz. This famous landmark honors a nobleman that sacrifices his own life to help the conquering of Lisbon to the moors in 1147 and is an apt starting point for this tour through Lisbon’s musical and culinary heritage, because is now the home a fusion market that celebrates the multiculturalism of the Neighborhood of Mouraria

To kick this Lisbon evening tour off with even more of a bang, you'll have the chance to try a sip of Ginjinha, Lisbon’s trademark liqueur, made from sour cherries and sold as medicine since 1840. For this we'll be in the old district of Mouraria, listening to Fado music in a local tavern. Walk around in one of the oldest areas of Lisbon, take in sweeping views and stop for a break to admire the sunset over this intoxicating city from the viewpoints of the Castle Hills, some of the city’s best-kept secrets.

Next, travel deep into the soul of Lisbon while exploring the Alfama neighborhood. This is the oldest quarter in the city, dating back to the Moorish occupation of Lisbon. Explore Alfama’s small squares, rustic buildings and dark alleyways as you wander along the winding, cobblestone streets. Stop to breathe in the exciting atmosphere as the local taverns and music venues come to life for another evening of melodic tunes and gastronomic delights.

Stop to reflect on the beauty of the River Tagus then continue on to finish this Lisbon walking tour in an old Palace that serves up daily doses of delicious food and Fado music to enthusiastic audiences.

Indulge in a dinner of traditional Portuguese food and wine while appreciating a performance of Fado from one of the most famous houses, a quintessential Lisbon experience that you won’t get on other Lisbon tours! What a fitting finale to this indulgent Lisbon walking tour extravaganza.

This is a great tour for your first night in Lisbon. It keeps you up, gives you a sense of the historic area and things you may decide to go back to and then ends with Tapas and a traditional Fado performance.

Excellent tour! Our guide, Catarina, was very knowledgeable and the Fado performance was wonderful. The food and wine included in the tour was also very good!

I had just a few hours of free time in Lisbon and booked that tour. Dani was the perfect guide, taking us through the side streets and small courtyards of Alfama and showing us her preferred restaurants before we ended up at a delicious dinner in a Fado restaurant. Lisbon in a nutshell :-)

Madelena led our tour by sheer force of personality, and kept us enthralled the entire time! Her thorough knowledge of the neighborhoods we walked through and her experience as a tour guide imparted us, not only with facts, but with a true flavor of the area and a history and appreciation of Fado. She worked hard to ensure that we had a lovely evening and even gave us her phone number in case we had any other questions or even problems. Our dinner was delicious, the walk through the neighborhoods merry, and the music . . . sublime. A guided experience, shared with newly met visitors, led by an experienced and ebullient guide enabled us to experience so much more than a trip up the hill ourselves.

Tiago was a fantastic guide - he genuinely knew so much and loves his city. There were so many things he spoke about and went well over the allotted time which we were most grateful for. I highly recommend Tiago as a guide for all type of topics related to history, art, walking and understanding historic events and having dinner with as part of the Fado part of the evening.

So good! Food was fantastic! Our guide actually had a better voice than the performers I heard her singing along, but the night was a great experience!

We had such a pleasant, informative and entertaining evening! Our tour guide (a lovely young woman from Italy originally) gave us the history of Fado while touring the neighborhoods and meeting the locals. Our dinner was delicious and the Fado performances were outstanding! I highly recommend this tour whilst in Lisbon!

Danny was awesome. This was such a great tour, I'm so glad I took it. I really wanted to see a Fado performance which was very good. The highlight was all the information and fun we had even before we got to the Fado performance. Danny is super knowledgeable and shares the information in such a fun way. Could not have asked for a better tour guide. Thank you!

Daniella was our tour guide and she made this the highlight of our time in Lisbon! She was full of energy and knowledge on the city! We learned a lot from her! And the fado music was great! The venue was also top notch; the food came out between performances and everyone was silent while the singer was on stage. We went to another show somewhere else while in the city and it was not the same; this place is definitely the place to go to watch a performance.

What a fun and informative evening! Walking through the old neighborhoods, sampling the cherry liquor, riding the trolley, dining at a Fado bar -- this tour was a perfect complement to the daytime general tour of Lisbon. The guide was outstanding and gave us a lot of history, culture, and current events.

We met as strangers; we left as friends! It was a marvellous evening with a small group of people guided by Pedro (Thank's a lot!!), where we learned many interesting things about the history of Lisbon and the development of Fado as folk music. The best thing was that we all had time to ask questions and tips as well as to know each other better. We went to a nice restaurant where we enjoyed a typical Portuguese dinner and we could listen to great artists who sang for us many different popular fado songs. I warmly recommend this tour!

In spit of rain and no sunset this was a great tour. The city is beautiful at night and the Fado music is a must.

Our guide was great! She was knowledgeable, entertaining and flexible. She flagged down 4 taxis when the regular trolley failed to show. The restaurant and Fado singers were great. A perfect way to end the evening.

A wonderful overview of Lisbon and finishing with a nice meal and fado. Our guide Danny was most enthusiastic and made the whole experience lots of fun.

Was a great tour. Our guide, Joana Tlateus, was very informative about the origins of Fado music and various aspects of Lisbon's history. She has a great sense of humor and made time for everyone's questions. Easily adapted from riding a tram to the Fado restaurant to taking cabs. The restaurant had great food and the music was wonderful. Our group just happened to be made up of various English speakers from other countries and luckily was a fun, talkative, great to be with group. Small group which made it easier to get to know the others. Highly recommend.

I had a great time on this tour! The group size was perfect for walking around and enjoying a nice dinner at the end of the night. We were taken to places I would not have noticed if I had not been on this tour. The Fado performance is not to be missed while you are in Lisbon. I believe what really made the tour special was our guide Tiago. His friendliness and passion for Lisbon made our group immediately comfortable and had us smiling and laughing all night. He was an outstanding guide and enjoyed every minute of this tour!
