Welcome to South Africa, upon arrival you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for the night. There will be a welcome meeting held at 5pm this evening.

Blyde River Canyon
Johannesburg - Blyde River Canyon. Departing Johannesburg this morning we head for one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa, the Panorama Route. Linking the Lowveld and the incredible Mpumalanga Drakensberg. One of the highlights of this region is Blyde River Canyon, home to an abundance of wildlife it is one of the largest canyons in the world, spanning 25 kilometers and with an average depth of 750 meters it's a truly breathtaking landscape.

Kruger National Park
Blyde River Canyon - Kruger. Today we continue on the southern part of the Panorama Route towards the Lowveld. Look out over stunning vistas on the drive to our accommodation situated on the edge of the amazing Kruger National Park.
Covering over 19,000 square kilometres, Kruger National Park is one of the greatest wildlife destinations in the world, home to 146 mammal, 500 bird, 114 reptile, 33 amphibian and 49 fish species.

Game Drive in Kruger
Today we head into Kruger National Park to observe the abundance of animals in the area, hopefully we'll spot the Big 5 and many more. After a busy day exploring we'll head back to our accommodation to reminisce about the exciting day.

Xai Xai Beach
Kurger - Xai Xai (Mozambique). It's an early start this morning as we depart the Kruger area and head for the border between South Africa and Mozambique. The border crossing can often be a slow process so perhaps bring a good book or a pack of cards. After crossing the border we traverse through the country, reaching our accommodation at the beautiful Mozambique beach of Xai Xai.
Mozambique boasts some of the most marine rich coastlines in southern Africa make it a snorkeling and diving paradise. The white sand beaches also make it a fantastic place to kick back and relax whilst gazing out across the azure blue seas.

Inhambane Coastline
Xai Xai - Inhambane. Today we travel further along the scenic coastline to the Inhambane region. During the colonial period Inhambane was well known for being the centre of the Ivory and slave trade of the then Portuguese East Africa.
This afternoon we reach Praia de Zavora Bay, our home for the next two nights. This pristine stretch of coastline offers a number of sea side activities. Day 7 is at leisure, you may wish to spend your time relaxing on the beach, perhaps head into the water on a scuba diving trip to the famous Manta Reef (bookable locally) or go snorkeling with the marine life in this region, with a number of species being spotted regularly including Manta Rays, Whale Sharks and even Turtles .

Beaches of Vilanculos
Inhambane - Vilanculos. Heading further north today we travel up the coast to Vilanculos. This beautiful little beach town is the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago which consists of 5 main islands. An idyllic part of the world, the islands offer pristine beaches, clear blue seas and dozens of colourful bird species. With 2 nights in Vilanculos there is plenty of opportunity for those who would like to involve themselves in any of the numerous optional activities offered.
On day 9 we embark on an exciting Dhow cruise, heading out and around 4 of the islands that make up the Bazaruto Archipelago. This traditional sailing ship will glide through the islands of Benguerra, Bazaruto, Magaruque and Santa Carolina passing palm trees and pristine reefs.

Crossing into Swaziland
Bilene - Hlane Royal National Park (Swaziland). Departing early this morning we head for border, crossing from Mozambique into Swaziland. The small kingdom covers an area smaller than that of Kruger National Park and boasts a population of around 1.4 million. We continue to Hlane Royal National Park, dominated by ancient hardwood vegetation and home to a plethora of animals including lion, elephant and white rhino.

This morning we head out in to Hlane Royal National Park for a game drive in search of the many number of animals that reside here. From giraffe to hippo and zebra to impala, you're sure to spot lots of many fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.

Return to Johannesburg
Hlane Royal National Park - Johannesburg (South Africa). Crossing back into South Africa today we head towards Johannesburg where our journey began. Upon arrival into Johannesburg the rest of the day is at leisure.
