Stop At: Blue Mosque, Sultanahmet Mah At Meydani Cad No 7, Istanbul 34122 Turkey

Head to the Blue Mosque to marvel at its six minarets and the thousands of Iznik tiles that cascade a sea of blue over the building’s interior. One of the finest examples of classical Ottoman architecture, the mosque was built at the bequest of Sultan Ahmet I who demanded a mosque to rival the grandeur of the Hagia Sophia.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Kapali Carsi, Kalpakcilar Cad. Sorguclu Han No: 22, Istanbul 34126 Turkey

Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s most famous souks. Comprising nearly 60 streets and thousands more shops, the bazaar can be overwhelming. Let your guide introduce you to its colorful (if chaotic) highlights, and shop for jewelry, leather, pottery, spices and more.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Hagia Sophia Museum / Church (Ayasofya), Ayasofya Square, Sultanahmet, Istanbul 34122 Turkey

Both a church and a mosque in its past life, Hagia Sophia (or Aya Sofya) is now a UNESCO-listed museum that showcases Ottoman- and Byzantine-era artifacts. Browse the interior’s architecture and historical exhibits with your guide, and then continue to Topkapi Palace.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Hippodrome, Binbirdirek, Sultan Ahmet ParkI No:2, Istanbul Turkey

Continue through Istanbul Hippodrome, seeing the granite Egyptian obelisk that was gifted to the city, and hear how the site once represented the hub of the city’s sporting and political life. After stopping for photos.

Duration: 25 minutes

Stop At: Topkapi Palace, Cankurtaran Mahallesi Gulhane Park, Near Sultanahmet Square, Istanbul 34122 Turkey

Like Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace now exists as one of Istanbul’s premier museums, home to a collection of ornamentation that once belonged to the city’s 15th-century sultans and harems.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Basilica Cistern, Alemdar Mahallesi, Yerebatan Caddesi, No:1/3, Istanbul 34410 Turkey

Visit Basilica Cistern — Istanbul’s ‘sunken palace’ — a site that famously featured in the James Bond movie From Russia with Love. The site is one of the largest of the city's ancient cisterns that lie beneath the ground.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Neon Tours, Kore Sehitleri Caddesi Esentepe Mahallesi, Istanbloom Residence, Kore Şehitleri Cd. 16/1, Istanbul 34394 Turkey

Your tour finishes with a drop-off at your European-side hotel or in central Istanbul.

Please note: The Grand Bazaar will be closed on Sundays and Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays. If your tour falls on any of these days, an alternate attraction (such as Chora Museum or another market) may be visited instead, Topkapi Palace (Closed on Tuesdays; will be replaced with Istanbul Archaeology Museum). I loved this walking tour of the old city specifically the area that reflects the cross cultural elements such as the Roman Hippodrome; the Sultan Ahmed Mosque; Hagia Sophia, and the grand bizarre. What I did not like was the stop over to learn about carpets which is nothing more than a sales pitch and not on the list for the tour. This added stop cut into our time at the Bizarre where you could also rug shop. I would advise to forbid the tour guide from I assume benefiting from these unplanned stop overs.

Would highly recommend. All the main places of interest are within walking distance and our guide was excellent - very attentive and informative.

Furkan Sari was an amazingly caring and knowledgeable guide who made the day totally stress-free and interesting. One of the best tours we have experienced with variety, information, scenery, history, and a tasty lunch. .

I enjoyed this tour very much! First of all, the pick up from my hotel was on time. Hakan, our guide, provided us just very useful information about the places we visited. He accomodates questions from everyone and gave us enough time to explore the places on our own. He also has a good sense of humor which made the tour more fun. In addition, lunch food was really good I think this is particularly important info as some lunch tours just put you in a questionable restaurant and serve you with orinary kebab.

This was one of the best city tours we have taken. Our guide Sevilay was outstanding, and very knowledgeable on history of Istanbul that she was eager to share. We only had two of us, and another couple on the tour that made this almost a private tour. The tour covers all the important spots in old town, and avoids the long lines if you were going on you own. Haiga Sofia had at least a 30 min line and we just walked in with our guide.

My brother and I had very limited time in Istanbul so chose an all day tour of main places of interest. This tour covered all our needs. We were picked up at our hotel and enjoyed the company of 9 other people Sevilay, our guide, was very informative and also great fun. Ask for her on this tour. I recommend this tour if you want to jump all the lines and see all the main sites in one day. Thanks again Sevilay(spelling?)

We had a great tour. Lots of walking - so be prepared. Our tour guide left so quick that we were not able to thank him for his patience (we had a slow couple on the trip with us) and thoroughness.

Once again Viator comes through with a pre booked tour without the hassle of trying to find a local one that can be trusted! Our guide was on time polite and friendly. He had great knowledge of all the sites visited. Lunch was great. It was a small group so little time was wasted waiting for stragglers. Hagia Sophia was the highlight and the Topkapı palace had some really interesting experiences. Good value and well done to our guide. I do remember his name but I don’t think I could spell it.

Our tour guide (I think he said his name was Hasan?) was Very Knowledgeable about each if the sites we visited. Our tour group of 7 enjoyed a bit of background info and overview about what we were about to see at each stop, then were given sufficient time to explore and get photos as needed. We didn’t feel rushed and since we were so prompt, we even got a bonus stop at one of the few remaining Cisterns in Istanbul! We would certainly recommend this tour to others. Our group tour group consisted of one couple (me and my wife), 2 men traveling each on their own, and 3 friends/co-workers (2 women, 1 man)

We prebooked before we reached Istanbul, and are glad we did. We saw the sights that we wanted, We beat the queues which can be pretty lengthy. There is a fair amount of walking involved, so be prepared for that. good value for money.

Great tour with a small group. Hakan our guide was friendly with a lot of information to share. He was accommodating in every way and helped us take some good photos too. My husband was unable to join us in the morning and Hakan arranged for him to join us in the afternoon for the rest of the tour. We had an enjoyable day and I highly recommend this tour!

Saw all the highlights in one day, Our guide Hakan knew how to get us in before it was too busy. He was very knowledgeable and informative. Lunch was delicious and authentic. We spent just the right amount of time at each site. I also met very nice people that were also on the tour. A total,of 14 people which included 3 children a perfect number of people.

Was a great one day tour. The lunch provided was good. Had sufficient time to have a first look at all the attractions. Could have used a bit more time at the Palace.

Having a small group is great. We didn’t need to have those headsets on that large groups need. We got more one on one time with the guide to ask questions. We got alone time at almost each place to explore after a history lesson from the guide. I highly recommend Neon Tours!
