A few tips from us:
- The semi-sub is a MUST DO! An experience I will never forget!
- You get the option to chose between the glass-bottom boat or snorkelling gear. If you are doing the semi-sub, then don’t bother with the glass bottom boat. It’s cool and all, but ta bit of a let down after the amazing semi-sub.
- I wouldn’t bother with lunch. It was curry and rice, with a selection of meats, melon and bread. Just buy food on the island when you get there.
- The water is so shallow here that you can walk out to sea for a few minutes before it gets too deep to continue walking. So your unlikely to see many fish near the shore (you will if you swim out) but it’s a perfect depth for non-swimmers/ kids to have a walk in the water.”

Very nice tour of Green Island! We did the whole day trip which included mini submersible submarine, glass-bottom boat ride, and we signed up to do reef snorkeling with Michelle, a marine biologist, who convinced my wife to try it. My wife doesn’t swim or go into water any further than her hips, and she loved it. We had a ring to hold on to and she guided us around to see the coral, fish, sea turtles and a stingray. A very memorable experience! You can snuba or scuba as well. The crew were helpful and friendly!”

What a bang for my buck! The food was surprisingly good and I had enough time on the island to actually enjoy the island. I am glad I looked this”

Lunch was good, if you like Thai cuisine. Snorkeling was good as well, a little short on time but we saw plenty of fish, corals, sea cucumbers and stars, and also a stingray.”

A great day which just got better as the day went on, the cruise out to the island, followed by glass bottom boat and mini sub, then the highlight snorkelling over the reef, Highly recommend the buoyancy jackets for first time snorkelers for extra confidence.”

This tour was absolutely wonderful! I would highly recommend the semi submersible tour over the glass bottom boat, especially if you are a non-snorkelling person. We saw giant clams, sea turtles sharks, coral and masses of fish. Take the time to walk around this tiny island as we saw more turtles swimming in the surf along the beaches....enjoy! Wish I was there with you!”

Lovely boat trip out to the island and we did the glass bottomed boat option rather than snorkelling, although we might have seen more on the semi-submersible instead. Lunch on the boat was a bit of a free-for-all, and Brits were in the minority so the staff also had to speak several oriental languages to help everyone, which you could see was quite hard work. It was possible to swim in the afternoon and there were good facilities on Green Island for getting any refreshments. A really lovely day out.”

After a 50 minute ferry ride to Green Island, snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef was a pleasure. Also did semisubmersible boat ride, well worthwhile for excellent marine life viewing.”

Absolutely amazing! :
I was too sea-sick to enjoy it but my 7 y.o son loved it!
The staff and crew members were brilliant, good humoured, kind and great babysitters. They made sure he was fed, safe and entertained.
They looked after him all day while I was curled up in a ball, feeling sick on the pier.
Thanks guys! :
Way beyond the call of duty.
Connor had a ball!”

Great day trip out to the reef. Buffet lunch on board was good, you had a choice of hot or cold food or both, you could go up for seconds if you wanted to queue again. You can also purchase food and beverages at the bar. We choose the glass bottom boat which was a good way to see the coral sea life. The beaches are lovely just needed to be aware that jelly fish were about. You are advised of this before you get to the Island by the safety briefing. The crew on board work hard you can hire wetsuits, snorkelling gear and book extra activities with them.”

Best tour I've done on the reef.
We saw turtles while on the semi-submersible boat, saw Clownfish while snorkelling, and saw the largest crocodile in captivity at the small wildlife centre on the island.
You can walk through the forest to find hidden beaches on the island.

Loved snorkeling on this trip. There was a nature walk and beautiful beaches. We swam away from the beach to see the coral, and a lot of fish near the pier. We got to swim with a sea turtle. Truly beautiful.”
