Hotel pick-ups commence prior to the tour start time. You will be collected from the hotel you have selected in the drop down list during the booking process. Your hotel pick-up time will be displayed on your voucher. If you wish to change your pick-up location from the one selected, you must call the operator at least 24 hrs prior to travel. If your hotel does not appear on the drop down list, the operator does not pick-up from your hotel. Please phone the operator to arrange an alternate pick-up time and location.

• Weather on the Great Ocean Road is unpredictable, please come prepared for all weather
• Guests that require a wheelchair are welcome on our tours providing they are accompanied by an able-bodied companion and do not require special assistance from the supplier to embark and disembark the vehicle. Wheelchairs will be stored under the vehicle whilst in transit. Note: There is limited access at Loch Ard Gorge due to the staircase, however there are other lookouts available.
• If travelling with an infant that requires a stroller, you must contact the supplier at least 72hrs prior to departure to ensure the can be accommodated.
• Most travelers can participate

This was a fabulous day. Our driver suggested doing the itinerary in reverse as it was summer holidays. Kudos to him, sorry I cant remember his name. He regaled us with local history pointing out several sites along the route and explaining how The Great Ocean Road came to be. We even saw koalas in the wild! Doing the tour in reverse turned out to be a great decision because we got to enjoy The Twelve Apostles, London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge with relatively few tour buses. It is amazing what the force of nature created! The southern Australian coastline is truly spectacular! The lunch stop in Port Campbell was perfect with lots of places to grab a bite to eat and lots of opportunity to take photos. My advice is to dress for the weather it was only 16 and drizzly even though it is summer and sometimes the windy roads were a bit much.”

My husband and I had a great time on this tour. Our driver Joe was informative, courteous and a general all round nice guy. Plenty of time was given at each stop. Good value and as it the Great Ocean Road was very busy we felt that it certainly beats driving yourself.”

Tour was well coordinated and executed. A long day. Since we visited during the Christmas to New Year break, every place along the road was crowded and felt that we didn't get enough time to take in the scenery. Felt a bit rushed. It was a great tour even though it was raining throughout the day. Nevertheless, the rain stop for a while when we reached the 12 Apostles, which was a blessing. Our guide Richard from AAT Kings was a wonderful chap with his explanations throughout the whole journey. And not forgetting his dry humour which drew quite a lot laughter from us. definitely will recommend this tour to anyone who wish to explore the 12 Apostles.”

The Great Ocean Road Trip Tour involves a lot of miles over 400 and a large number of hours approx. 15 but is well worthwhile. The sea views continue for miles and are absolutely spectacular. Tip: sit on the LEFT side of the bus for a closer look. The stops usually combine a fabulous look-out spot with a convenient bathroom opportunity not to be missed, since you never know when the next one will be offered!. Lunch is taken at Apollo Bay at around mid-day. We recommend the Apollo Bay Hotel over the driver's choice of George's Cafe. The service was good, the restaurant was light with good views, and the fish-and-chips was excellent. Our driver Paul Chilton was outstanding, and worked really hard to ensure an enjoyable experience for all his passengers. He had an excellent sense of humor and provided interesting information concerning the construction of the road by the Australian Army after WW1. He took the trouble to back up the bus after passing a koala on the road or wallaby so that we could all see it, and was a very attentive driver, narrowly avoiding a vehicle ahead at one stage which had braked suddenly. The Twelve Apostles rock-formation is obviously the star sight of the tour seen after lunch, but the London Bridge formation seen later is also memorable. Both should be photographed in video as well as still photography if your camera permits. Returning to Melbourne, Paul was careful to drop passengers off close to their hotels. This can take 30 minutes or so, depending on the distribution, but is definitely worth the wait. Overall, an excellent tour which is highly recommended for the memorable shoreline views that it includes. Obviously, you need good weather as we had, so probably a booking in the Australian winter months June thru August is more of a gamble. However, sometimes, as in our case, the sky can look gloomy in Melbourne, but an hour later when we reached the coast, the weather was delightfully sunny, and remained so throughout our tour. We went in late October. In terms of clothing, remember that there is nothing but Antarctica to the South of the Road, and the winds off the Bass Strait can be bracing! Consequently, a zip-up warm jacket is recommended, together with a stand-by scarf and gloves, plus an umbrella. Sturdy shoes are essential for the optional descent to a sandy cove towards the end of the trip.”
