A nice day, full of visits. Made for a long day but was well worth it. "Diederik" was our guide for the day and very well spoken English and very good explanations.”

Excellent historical and informational trip, Our guide was extremely personable and had great local knowledge. Tour Organizers could do a better job with precisely where to meet, or even provide a big sign with the tour name on it, but other than that all was great, and fully recommended.”

Our guide was outstanding, as was the overall experience. However, my fiancé and I found it to be to long. The tour organizers need to eliminate one or two stops.”

Enjoyed this very much .
Very good tour guide .
So much to see, my only criticism would be that we didn’t have enough time in yepres to discover the town .”

Excellent tour. Great driver and very well informed and interesting guide. More than we expected. Visited hill 60 site that was not on the original tour - this makes the company extra special with this kind of service.”

This extensive tour was very well planned. Our Belgian guide ensured that all members of the tour felt included throughout the day and evening. He is exceptionally knowledgeable; he provided an easy-to-understand and comprehensive commentary; and he answered everyone's questions clearly. He is the best tour guide I've ever encountered. Many thanks.”

Our guide, Stefan, was absolutely superb. I learnt more about WW1 on this tour in one day than I had learnt in the previous 55 years. I keep thinking about it - and recalling so many aspects of a deeply moving and memorable visit to Flanders Fields. Thank you very sincerely -”

Detrich was an incredible tour guide and source of information, there is so much territory to cover he always was able to explain it at the personal and human level, I learned a lot, the most moving was the Ceremony at The Menin Bridge known as the Last Post, which unknown to me takes place at 8 PM 365 Days a year which pays tribute to those Lost and never recovered and I got to witness this very dignified Ceremony in which Family Members and still place Wreaths in remembrance of their Loved ones.”

excellent tour , long day but worth it all. would like to see hill 62 sanctuary wood be included.
Didn't have lunch in the cheese factory had lunch in the hotel was not told that there would be ham as both of us are vegetarians.
We had to say to drop us off at the same place otherwise it would have been the station so he did go there afterwards.
Hill 62 is a must in this tour it should be included”

This trip was very good value for money. A long day about 9.5 hours but a lot was crammed in. The Tour Guide Johan and coach driver, sorry don't know your name, were very good. Johan was a fountain of knowledge. The lunch provided was also good. Would highly recommend this trip.”

Amazing day though long. We were staying in Bruges and had to meet at 10.30am and returned back to Bruges at approx. 9.30pm.We were lucky enough to have good weather which helped as a lot of the time on the tour you are walking outside. Our guide was fantastic. Unfortunately cannot remember his name. He was so informative and knew little extras which made the trip more interesting. He conveyed so much information but did not bombard us so that it became too much to take in. The cemeteries and the battlefields sites were very moving and upsetting. There are so many cemeteries in this area. It is hard to take in the number of soldiers killed here and their young ages and so many of the graves are unmarked. We had a vested interest in the area as my grandfather fought in this area during WW1. The driver was very good and the coach comfortable and clean. We had plenty of time to explore the sites on our own and also to grab food where necessary. The lunch provided was adequate. Our guide advised us where to stand and at what time to arrive at the Menin Gate to be able to see the ceremony and make a quick exit to the coach park. All in all a wonderful day. If only all young people could take this tour then it might make the younger generation think twice about the foolishness and terrible waste of lives in a war.”

A great tour! The tour guide was extremely knowledgable in all areas of WWI and had lots of information for us both on the bus and when we arrived at each area to be explored. He was very aware of the nationalities of the people on the tour and made special stops that were of interest to different people on the tour. It is a very long and rewarding day that covers a lot of information and stops but very worthwhile
for both history buffs and people just wanting to learn more about the war. I would definitely recommend this tour as a must see when in the Belgium area.”

Our guide was very knowledgeable and willing to make minor changes to the emphasis based on who was in the group. In our instance, there were a significant number of Canadians and he customized his information slightly to suit us. Any questions that we asked were addressed seriously and he did a great job of interpreting what we were trying to get at. In a number of cases, our guide pointed out things during our walking around that we would have never noticed if he hadn't been there. A very worthwhile experience!”

Bus driver and guide were excellent,
Though the bus was 1/2 hour late.
We were able to find our gt Uncle at the Menin Gate and witness the Last Post.
There were no hotel pickups !
No Cheese Factory, though we did have a plough mans sandwich available. Buy your own drinks.
We expected to be dropped at pickup point, but told at last minute we would be dropped at Cental Station.
And perhaps could get taxi back to our hotel, though we hadn't budgeted for this, so we walked in the dark,
Luckily we knew the way.
I would recommend the tour,,,but clarify details first.”

An outstanding tour with a knowledgeable experienced guide. The Menin Gate experience was moving and memorable. Each place we visited brought home the reality of war and its aftermath through the stories, historical detail and clarity of explanation provided by the guide. The enormous loss of life was telling.”

A great tour well managed, with knowledgeable guide and also most on tour
had similar interests in the history of the area so there was genuine
rapport amongst the group who were strangers at the start of the day.”
