
Mount Kinabalu Climb
Climb to the summit of Mount Kinabalu in Sabah, on the beautiful island of Borneo. At 4095 metres Mount Kinabalu is one of the tallest mountains in Southeast Asia and summiting at sunrise you'll be greeted by the spectacular panoramic views.
Day 1 - Included transfer from Kota Kinabalu airport and transfer to your hotel in the city. Overnight Kota Kinabalu - Jesselton Hotel (superior room)
Day 2 - Set-out early at 06.30am for a scenic 2 hour drive through paddy-fields and Dusun villages over the ridges of the Crocker Range to Kinabalu Park. A brief stop at Nabalu Market for an opportunity to buy local handicrafts and local fruits. Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park (8am), you will check-in and register at Kinabalu Park's office, and then the real adventure begins as you transfer to the Power Station / Timpohon Gate by coach for the start of your 2-day climb of mighty Mount Kinabalu. The trek will take about 5-8 hours, depending on individual fitness level. Trek to the Laban Rata area today 11,000 ft, where you will spend the night in a mountain hut (dormitory style, non-heated, with common bathroom). Dinner will be at Laban Rata Restaurant and then you can relax and enjoy the spectacular mountain landscape. Overnight Laban Rata - Mountain Hut (B, L, D)
Day 3 - Waking early at 2am, have a bite to eat before commencing your ascent by torchlight to the Low’s Peak summit. The climb takes approximately 3 hours and you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise (weather permitting). After soaking up the views you will descend back to Laban Rata Restaurant for a well-earned breakfast, check out and trek down to the Timpohon Gate. Return to Park HQ to collect your Certificate of Achievement. After lunch return to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight Kota Kinabalu - Jesselton Hotel (superior room) (B, L)
Day 4 - Breakfast and transfer to Kota Kinabalu airport.
