Great tour. The guide was entertainment and had a lot of good information. He took us to five wineries and we sampled a lot of wine. He took us to small boutique wineries that had different wine. We ended up being two bottles of blueberry mead wine and walnut port. We can’t wait to have our Christmas guest try them.

Excellent! Other guests had cancelled, but Michael continued with the tour for just the 2 of us. Great choices of wineries including a mead wine. Stopped for lunch and got some additional information on the Vancouver area. Highly recommend this tour!

The tour was an amazing travelling experience. Michael from Lawrence Tours is a knowledgeable and experient travel agent, worried about all the details that make the difference in a trip. He shared his experience not only about the wineries but also about Vancouver area and lifestyle. Despite the weather conditions in view of the winter time, we could visit four boutique wineries, and get to know some owners of the businesses with interesting and insightful wine tasting. Highly recommended for wine lovers and for those who are in the Vancouver neighbourhood and wants to have a delicious wine tour. The tour was very well organized, the transportation was confortable and the timing of the tour was quite appropriate, not to mention the delicious wines.

We came from California, having spent years visiting wineries in Napa, Sonoma, Santa Ynez.and were worried that we would end up on a tourist trap tour to sub-standard wineries. We ended the day thrilled with the tour led by Michael of Lawrence Tours! Every winery we visited was upscale and though not every wine was to our taste, every taste was worthwhile. In addition, at each of the 5 small boutique wineries we visited, we were able to spend real quality time with the owner or winemaker. Finally, we should mention, that Michael was not only knowledgeable about wines, winemaking and the wine industry, he was also a fantastic source of information about Vancouver its people and its history. Thus, we ended up with a great introduction to the city and its wine. We had a great time with him!

Michael was absolutely fantastic and so accommodating! We visited local wineries that you wouldnt know about unless you were with a local. The variety of wines were so good that we bought something at each stop. If you have to choose, this would be the one to select. Thank you Michael for making our girls trip a memorable one!

Hello fellow travelers, this was an awesome tour...primarily because of the tour guide! The mystery of not knowing where you are going should not be much of a mystery and don't think anything about it...why, because you don't know where you are going anyway! Michael did an awesome job keeping us informed: gave us an initial brief on what the day was going to be like and then he just executed. He knew how to navigate the roads, he knew the region history, he knows people history a very informative guide! My wife and I would do this again and may well some day. I will attempt to upload some photos, but I'm not sure what Viator does with them. we will see what we see!

My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about Mike Lawrence as a guide. We signed up first for a Fraser Valley wine tour. Everything was beyond first class. We were picked up exactly on time at our downtown hotel in a very comfortable modern van. As it turned out, we were the only two people on the tour that day. After a very informative ride to the Fraser Valley with such an easy going, warm individual was a perfect introduction. Mike knew people at each one of the five wineries we visited, and in each case we were made to feel at home. I actually am somewhat of a professional, writing scholarly articles and books about wine history as well as teaching wine courses at the University level and to community groups. As a result, we have done wine visits literally all over the world. Mike's tour of these BC wineries certainly ranks with the best in places like Bordeaux, South Africa, Argentina and Australia. The wines were overall excellent, and in some cases exceptional. We particularly enjoyed our visit to Blackwood Lane where we had a terrific conversation with the Peruvian owner whose wines were as engaging as he was. In addition, our lunch at a 6th winery was excellent and affordable. We enjoyed our experience so much with Mike that it occurred to us to ask him to plan another tour with our children and grandchildren who were arriving to Vancouver the next day. He came up with a number of suggestions and ended up proposing a tour that would engage the grandchildren's 6-12 years old varied interests the tour included going into a mine, climbing up to a gorgeous waterfall, riding a gondola up a mountain and taking a great hike, seeing a salmon hatchery and ending up a long day tasting many of the 230 ice creams at his favorite ice-cream stores. Mike made our and their Vancouver experience truly extraordinary

We were lucky to have a small group and Michael was able to get us to 5 wineries and a Bacchus Bistro lunch at Chaberton estate. We bought several bottles of wine and had no problem packing the bottles with our luggage and bringing the wine through customs into the US. Michael was very knowledgeable of the Fraser Valley area and provided detailed information as to each of the wineries.

You need to know that none of these wineries will ship out of Canada so if you buy wine you have to be able to box it up and check it as baggage on the plane because UPS will not ship it either. I wish I had known this before I went on this tour or I would not have gone on it. Also the tour advertises Canada5 per winery tasting but sometimes it was more than that unless you bought a bottle of wine that you have to package up and check as baggage on the plane.
