This was the best wine tour I have ever experienced. Mick, our sommelier, guided us through the history of Chilean winemaking, vinification, tasting and food pairing while visiting several vineyards. Clemente, our tour guide, explained the concept and practice of biodynamics as it pertains to sustainable wine production during the visit to his family vineyard. It was the first time our tour guide and sommelier worked together on this particular tour. I found the experience very informative and enlightening. The variety and selection of wines was excellent. I would very highly recommend this tour.”

Mick conducted a fantastic wine tour, he was warm, funny and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed how well he knew the individual wineries and what made each of them worth visiting. We were guided through the recommended tastings by Mick who helped to expand our wine
knowledge in a genuine and fun way. I highly recommend this tour and should we return we would look him up to continue our wine journey in the areas surrounding Santiago.”

“
I have been on many wine tours, around the world, but never have I enjoyed or learned so much as with Mick, the Sommelier, on this tour. We visited 5 wineries from really large (Santa Rita), to very very small (LOF). Each had something unique to offer and the nice thing is that Mick is able to change the tour as often as needed to make for a great experience. I learned a lot about the proper way to approach the wines, the various method of growing organic wines, all the while sampling (in generous portions) some of the finest wines Chile has to offer. With a small group (7) and personalized attention to detail, this is a tour not to be missed.”

Mick was an excellent tour guide! He picked us up on time at our hotel before picking up other members. Mick gave us a thorough tour and explanation of the four different wineries we attended to include a history of the region, the different grape varietals, how elevation and soil composition aids in the growth, etc.
Bottom line, it was very enjoyable, the wine was great, the food at the third winery was excellent. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone... especially if you need an English speaking sommelier guide”

As an adopted Chilean, Mick did a great job providing both a clear English tour as well as a great wine experience through some of most unique wineries. He had a wealth of knowledge and thoughtfully showed us through biodynamic vineyards, local trends and explaining everything along the way. He has true insight as a locally certified Sommelier as well as great relationships with key players in the Chilean wine industry. We enjoyed the Cabernets and Carmeneres, dominant in the region. Ended up buying quite a few to take home which we knew we would have difficulty finding, even in LA!”

My sister and I booked this tour to learn more about wine and the Miapo region. Mick did that and more. His personal connection with small vineyards and the people there made this an excellent tour with good wine and food. He has a ton of knowledge to share about wine and is an all around great guy to spend a day with. Highly recommend this tour.”

Mick is a fantastic guide, and we were so glad we went with his tour. We hit 4 wineries, including Antiyal, which is clearly not normally set up for tourism. Mick happens to know the incredible family that runs the place, and is presumably the only tour operator in town that does tours there. Our tour took us to larger (though still boutique) wineries, as well as an enormous winery (Santa Rita). We got to see how the production methods vary so dramatically between them, and got to directly compare the results of those different methods.
Couldn't have been happier.”

We could not have been happier with Mick's tour. I live a half-hour from Napa and study wine, yet Mick taught me things I didn't know! The behind-the-scenes access and overall insight made this well worth the price. Would highly recommend for everyone from people new to wine to people who (try!) and study it!”

This wine tour is a must! Mick was a gracious, friendly and knowledgeable host. He carefully selected different sizes and types of vineyards with a variety of wines. The region is incredibly beautiful and produces some amazing wines. It was a fun day away from the city made super easy with Airbnb pickup and drop-off. Small, intimate group full of great conversation and lots of laughs enjoying good food and wine. Really no complaints. Don't hesitate - book this tour!”

“
We had a fabulous wine tour in the Maipo valley that included wonderful organic small vineyards to some of Maipo's most famous. Our tour guide, Mick - who is sommemier trained - was great! He has a great knowledge of wine and the Chilean areas that produce some truly great wines. We would recommend Mick's tour to any wine lover, including sommeliers! The pairings and wine tasting were fabulous.”

We had a fantastic tour with Mick who is not only an attentive guide, but he also kept us engaged with Q and A and *a lot* of information about the local wine industry. He was creative and insightful, not to mention entertaining! We'd do another tour with Mick to check out different vineyards.”

This tour is one you do not want to miss. The tour guide/sommelier, Mick, is originally from a California, so you won’t have to worry about his English. He is super knowledgeable, knows everyone at all the best spots, and most of all is very passionate about what he does. Do yourself a favor and GO!!”

What a way to start a trip to Chile, or indeed South America. From meeting first thing on a Friday morning through to the end of the day Mick was an absolute gem. Not only keen on the subject matter but well versed on the subtler details of the wine production process. This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip, and I'd highly recommend spending time with Mick enjoying the Chilean countryside and trying out the cracking local wine!”

This was amazing. We don't usually do guided tours, but boy, did we get this one right. Our guide Mike is an awesome guy who really knows his wines and the Chilean wine scene, so he provided a lot of great information on a very accessible manner. He was also very helpful when assisting us to create the script for the tour, which ended up being perfect. Everything went well and right on time.
Considering the distances that we covered on this one, the tour was really not expensive at all. On the contrary, great value. I'd not hesitate to do that again to other wineries. In fact, I hope I will.”

“
I've done a lot of winery tours over the years but this was probably the best of the bunch. Mick, our guide, was very knowledgeable about wine and about the area we visited. Having a small group meant that we all had ample opportunities for questions, discussion and special requests. And the three wineries that Mick selected for the tour gave us a great overview of three very different types of wineries, from small family-operated to large multifaceted operations. Highly recommended.”

Mick was a very knowledgeable and personable guide. We enjoyed the wineries he picked out, which included tours and tasting at Perez Cruz and Concha Y Tero and a tasting at Santa Rita all included in the fee. He also made a lunch reservation for us at Concha Y Tero. Lunch was not included in the fee but we had a wide variety of food to choose from as well as all the Conch Y Tero wines by the glass. We dined on the patio and very much enjoyed it. Perez Cruz, a boutique winery was our favorite and we purchased a bottle of their Limited Edition Carmenere. At all the wineries there was no push from them or Mick to purchase. We appreciated that Mick also brought along his wine tasting guide, waters and snacks.
Mick picked us up at 10am and had us back a little before 6pm, so it is a full day.”

This tour was fantastic and just as I’d hoped. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. There was a nice surprise at the end of the tour, it really added a personal touch. The group also wasn’t too big - no coach just a mini van. Highly recommend.”

This was an exceptional tour. Mick Jackson our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to four wineries each offering something unusual and interesting from organic farming with chickens and llamas to a-beautiful lakeside picnic area where we snacked on cheeses with regional wines. Lunch was at a spectacular villa with extraordinary views. We even got to keep the lakeside wine. This was a very special day and well worth the cost. Highly recommend.”
