Stop At: Krka National Park, Skradin, 22000 Croatia

After picking you up at one of our meeting points, our excursion to one of the most popular sites in Dalmatia begins by driving along the border between the coast and the hinterland. The stories about the area between Split and UNESCO protected town of Trogir, takes you on a journey through rich history that the region has for more than 3000 years.

Then it’s on to Krka National Park and Skradinski buk, one of the best known natural beauties of Croatia. Our professionally-guided tour includes a fascinating walk through authentically restored ensemble of small stone houses, workshops, exhibits and watermills which show how water used to make village life possible and sustainable centuries ago. Then we’ll begin our walk to enjoy the rich diversity of flora and fauna through a network of forest pathways as well as over wooden bridges.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Roski Slap, Skradin Croatia

We proceed to Roški slap, a beautiful, quiet, untouched nature area situated in the upper part of the Krka river canyon, perfect for swimming and relaxation. During the break you will have the opportunity for an optional lunch in a typical Dalmatian konoba (tavern) where you can taste traditional local food like prosciutto, cheese, hearty bread, wine and local fruits and vegetables.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Visovac Monastery, Island of Visovac, Krka National Park Croatia

Along the way you will enjoy the same kind of breathtaking views that professional photographers capture to illustrate Croatian tourist brochures —like the panorama of Visovac Island, home to a 15th century Franciscan monastery where monks still reside;

Stop At: Sibenik, Sibenik, Sibenik-Knin County, Dalmatia

Then we say good-bye to the park and continue our trip to the seaside city of Šibenik. The best views from the road are if you sit on the left side of the bus. That said, the scenery everywhere, including while swimming, are ridiculously amazing.

Amazing tour, superb guide and driver. Would highly recommend the tour to those interested in visiting the Krka National Park. Bonus was a scenic coastal view on the way back from Sibenik.

The waterfalls are stunning. It was peak tourist season, so the crowds were crazy. I recommend bringing water shoes. Walking on the rocks in the water is almost impossible without shoes that had grips. Our guide, Mario, and driver, Nikola, were excellent. Be prepared for a lot of waking and stairs!

Our original intention was to find our own way to Krka Falls, using public transit. So glad we dropped that plan and booked this wonderful tour. It made things so easy, fun and informative. Ernest was our knowledgable and entertaining tour guide. Not only did he teach us about Croatian history, he talked about everyday life for present-day Croatians. Oh my, we learned about and saw so many things, as detailed in the advertisement for this tour. One Krka Falls, if you plan to go into the water and you will there is no place to change. Pack a cover-up that you can throw over your swim suit. You can change later, when you get back to the bathrooms. Don't forget your camera!!

We enjoyed this tour and Ernest was entertaining and interesting when imparting his information. The tour was organised yet leisurely and having lunch with the group was a very pleasant experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Krka Waterfalls and Sibenik. Our guide Ernest was very informative and humorous. On the day of the excursion it was a lovely mix of different nationalities. Ernest was very knowledgeable and told us lots about the history of Croatia, Split and the National park, The waterfalls exceeded my expectations and are even more stunning than in the photos. The first place that we visited in the national park was very busy at Skradinski buk,. Then we went on to Rosi Slap. Here we had a lovely Dalmatian lunch. Rosi Slap was much quieter and lovely to be surrounded by nature in peaceful surrounding. We then went on to Sibenik. My only critique is that our guide talked a long time about the cathedral and hence we didn't have much time to walk around the town. it would have been better just to do a 10 min talk, to give us time to explore. Amazing views of lots of islands on the way back to Split.

Great tour, Krka National Park is very beautiful and well looked after. Very nice waterfalls and surrounding areas. Worth the visit and to try Croatian food and drinks in traditional tavern. Sibenik is very beautiful too . Our tour guide and driver was excellent.

Great and very interesting tour, there was enough time to enjoy the most beautiful parts of Krka National Park and to try Croatian food and drinks in traditional tavern. The tour was completed by the visit to the beautiful old town of Sibenik. Our tour guide Ernest was excellent, sharing so many interesting facts and stories about places we visited and Croatia.

Krka National Park is a very nice place. I really have a wonderful time in this day trip on 24th August. The local travel agency Portal is perfect - the tour guide is very knowledgeable about the Croatia's history. He is also very funny. The driver, George is also nice too. I would highly recommend this trip.

The tour guide Petar and driver Francis did an awesome job. Informative, educational and fun, we don't think it could have gotten better. The locations were perfect, some were touristy but we also got great access to sites off the beaten path. Air conditioned Mercedes van was comfortable.

Best way to visit the waterfalls, which is a must see. Our tour guide Ernest was very charming and funny. He was able to summarize the whole history of that area is a perfect way, so that we all knew the most interesting facts. So the whole trip did not only make a lot of fun, but it was very informative and absolutely beautiful. Definitely recommended!

Our guide Ernest was very entertaining and told us lots of interesting facts about Dalmatia on the way to Krka. We arrived at Skradinski buk after about an hour and a half. The waterfalls there were very impressive just like in the photos and definitely worth a visit. We had about 90 minutes of free time to walk around the circular route round the waterfalls at our leisure swimming isn't technically allowed, although a couple of people did go and didn't get told off, before we moved on to Roski Slap. It took about 45 minutes to get there. Everyone in our group had the optional lunch at the local tavern, which was nice and gave us an opportunity to taste local produce. We then had about an hour of free time there. It was nice, although nowhere near as impressive as Skradinski buk. Then we went on to Sibenik, where our guide explained a little bit about the town's history in particular in relation to St. Jacob's church before leaving us to have about an hour's free time in the town. We then headed back to Split, arriving about 7.30pm. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and I would recommend to all.

Very beautiful Thank you Portal

Lucky to have a nice weather and small group to that beautiful National Park in Croatia. Place not to be missed if you go to Dalmatia. Everything went smoothly with Portal. You have enough time to spend on the different stops made during the day. And icing on the cake, not bored during the bus journey thanks to the guide Petar who made interesting commentaries I don't know much about Croatia so I appreciated hearing his point of view on various subjects - going beyond recommendations about what to eat :-. So go for it !
