I was the only participant with Luka as guide. This tour was the third I had unknowingly booked from the same company - Petros - and they were all excellent! Great tours with great guides, and this one was no exception.

There is so much to do around Zagreb. This is one of them. See the old town Varazdin and it's castle. It is a pretty place. Then go to Trakoscan castle. What a castle too. There is so much to see and learn about in this whole tour. Luca the guide is a great guy. Very knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend this tour if you are in Zagreb.

Luka was an excellent guide who willingly shared his knowledge and sense of humour to make our day memorable. Timely pickup from Hotel Astoria in Zagreb.

The sites themselves (Varazdin and Trakoscan) were just ok. But the tour guide, Luka was wonderful. He spoke excellent English (and actually had dry humor - something rare in a non-native speaker), and imparted to us lots of information about the Croatian history and other tidbits about Zagreb. In that sense, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and would love to go on a different tour with him someday.

Great day out lovely scenery on the drive had used the guide the previous Thursday so knew he was great. Could have done without the cemetery in the 90 degree heat . Castle picturesque but only for physically fit ...climb

I went in the trip on the recommendation of a friend from Zagreb. It was fantastic! The town is so perfect and not touristy at all. The castle was like something out of a storybook. Our guide- Goren-was knowledge, thorough and incredibly interesting. Go on this trip!

Petros tour in Croatia is the most professional company that I have used and I have been to many tours with Viator all around the world. Most other companies would have cancelled as I was the only participants but they did not. A very passionated and interesting guide, Mia. A very nice town. The castle gives a superb view of the lake and is one of the best preserved in this part of Europe. Thank you!

An excellent trip in every respect. Luckily, my wife and I were the only guests and extremely well looked after by Maja. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Pickup was punctual and car was clean and comfortable. Most enjoyable day.

Varazdin is a charming city and the scenery of Trakoscan is amazing.

Had a great time. Our tour guide Maya was great and knowledgeable! It was a very private tour for me with only one other person! It did rain the whole time but again Maya made sure she had enough umbrellas for everyone!!! I would definitely recommend this tour!

I loved this trip. A beautiful drive through the Croatian countryside to get to the attractions. Enjoyed the time in both places. Varazdin is a lovely little city and the castle was also interesting. I was the only person booked on this tour that day and had the guide to myself. She was knowledgeable, friendly and a great guide. This is an area I think more people should visit when in Croatia.

I was quite fortunate in being the only one on this group tour and having a fabulous PhD candidate guide. Loved Varazdin, the country and the guide.

Trakoscan Castle is amazing and the walk up the hill is well worth the effort. What is really good is that a lot of the original family furnishings and paintings are still in place which is not the case with the majority of castles. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions. Unfortunately no photos were permitted within the rooms, but the views from the terraces more than made up for it. Varazdin has a different, unique character to other Croatian towns in terms of its architecture and has been beautifully maintained. An advantage of this tour is that it also shows something of rural Croatia as the road from Varazdin to Trakoscan passes through some stunning scenery and small villages. We were there on a Saturday so it was quite quiet with only a few people in the main square which made it excellent for photography.

Wonderful tour. The tour guide was not as knowledgable as she should have, but still a great tour.

Our tour guide, Maja, was fabulous..very knowledgable and enthusiastic. Varazdin was a beautiful town and we could have had more free time there but we had to have lunch and ran out of time. Trakoscan Castle was very interesting and again Maja was very knowledgable giving us an interesting history lesson of the family who lived in the castle. . There were only 5 of us on the tour which made it very comfortable .. we would re on end this tour to other visitors!
