Reviews
Hop aboard your sightseeing cruise at the Market Square in central Helsinki and take a seat in the boat’s lower saloon, or take a stroll around the deck, admiring the sights of Helsinki as you cruise. Some 62 miles (100km) of gorgeous coastline frame the city, and the sea that surrounds it is home to an archipelago of nearly 300 islands.

Watch out for Korkeasaari Island, home to Helsinki Zoo, and pass the incredible Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress – a UNESCO World Heritage Site that straddles several skerries (smaller islands) in the Helsinki archipelago. Listen to the onboard commentary to learn fun facts and trivia about this top Helsinki attraction; built in the mid-18th century, the maritime fortress was created as a principal military base for Sweden during the Russo-Swedish War.

Order a drink from the onboard bar (own expense), and relax while gliding past Degerö Canal, one of the city’s iconic waterways. Look out for Helsinki’s impressive fleet of icebreaker ships, which help keep most of Finland’s ports open throughout the bitter winters, and hear tales of the city’s history. Founded as an important hub for Baltic Sea trade in the 16th century, Helsinki was later conquered by Russia before becoming the independent city as it stands today.

After 1.5 hours cruising around the shoreline, return to the port near Market Square.

Great way to see Helsinki from the water. Sit on the upper deck but grab a blanket as it gets very cold!

We booked the canal tour and were glad to have done so. The views are impressive, the boat is comfortable and I believe we have seen more of Helsinki and experienced this city deeper and better this way. Helsinki itself is small, but the landscape and surroundings are big and impressive.

This was the best activity for our one-day excursion from Estonia to Helsinki. We bought our tickets via the phone from Helsinki calling back to the US. The lady was very helpful from selecting the time to ensuring us getting to the dock. The tour operator allowed us to board the cruise even though our scheduled boarding time was an hour to go. This effectively gave us a much warmer cruise on the canals as well an extra full hour to enjoy Helsinki. Strongly recommended for those who love the views of cities from water.

This was well worth the money. Having pre-booked made the boarding process on the pier extremely simple. There isn't a great deal of substance to see on the trip but the commentary provided is very informative and the scenery fantastic.

We had a wonderful, full day! Our tour guides were very knowledgable and friendly! We enjoyed seeing the animals at the Featherdale Wildlife Park, the lookout points in the Blue Mountains National Park, the views from the rides at Scenicworld, and the amazing cruise in the Sydney Harbor. It was well worth the money!!

We were unsure what we wanted to do on our one full day in Helsinki and this tour was really interesting and informative. We pre-ordered it from home and I'm glad we did so all we had to do was show up at the dock. We learned some of the history of Helsinki and some of the cultural information also all in a leisurely relaxed ride. I would certainly suggest this tour. and the price was reasonable. It also seemed very easy to buy tickets at the dock.

Very comprehensive & enjoyable tour sailing past some beautiful Helsinki archipelago - seeing the summer houses and saunas on the shores also gives you a great insight into Finnish lifestyle! The cruise also gives you a chance to see sights you wouldn't normally see on the usual tourist routes.

Great tour in beautiful surroundings. Good information about sights throughout the tour which lasted about an hour and a half. I combined this tour with a ferry the evening before to Suomenlinna and felt like I saw the highlights of Helsinki. Well worth doing!

A wonderful trip. Plenty to look at and enjoy. The trip gives a different perspective of Helsinki from its waterfront views to its any islands.

This was a fantastic cruise! Helsinki is beautiful and the history of how the city was established and grew to become what it is today is explained really well. It is a fantastic way to see the city. The young lady at the kiosk, who exchanged our vouchers, was very wamr and friendly. Even though it was raining the day we went, we had a fantastic time. Must do!

It rained during the last half hour of the tour so we had to take shelter down below. But it was still a good tour.
