Tour guide Virginia was excellent. provided interesting information about Parisian culture and food. Ended the tour with a vine tasting session where we also learned about how French wines are rated and how much the environment (terrain, geology, topography, climate ....) influences the French wine conosurs to identify wines by the region where the grapes come from.

We met our tour guide, Josie, in a shopping center in front of a cheese shop. She is American who has lived in France for years, so she was able to give us some interesting insights comparing life in Paris with life in the US. As we walked to different shops, she purchased items for us to eat at the end of the tour, and she pointed out interesting locations along the way. We began our tour with a bakery, where we all got to choose a breakfast pastry. She described each one and the process of baking them. After that, we walked to a street market, where she described the French culture of shopping for food. We went into a meat shop and a cheese shop, and she pointed out how to look for the best restaurants based on their signs everything prepared in-house, organic only, prestigious awards, etc. We finished the tour at a wine shop. She prepared the fruit, bread, cheese, and foie gras for us as he let us sample some wines. We ate while she told us more about French food culture. She made recommendations for several shops and restaurants, and she made sure everyone knew how to get transportation to their next locations. This tour wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was such a fun experience, and I loved learning so much about food in France. The food Josie chose and prepared was delicious, and she was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Our guide David was amazing. He introduced us to so much great food in Paris and how to tell the difference between true Parisian bakers and butchers vs transports. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. If you can request David please do so. You won't be disappointed.

The information about the history of the food was simply amazing. Guide was nothing short of a walking food encyclopedia that loves both interacting with people and her job Best money we ever spent on any trip

This was an absolutely wonderful tour. The guide was extremely knowledgable and totally charming. The day was bitterly cold but she continued to take us from place to place until we ended up in a wine shop eating cheese and sausage while drinking and learning more about wine and wine pairing. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour. Zach is very knowledgeable and was a great guide. Unfortunately, the weather decided to not cooperate, and we ended up I a snow storm. Despite that inconvenience, it was a lot of fun. Great food samples and wines.

Our tour guide Caroline was so knowledgeable and took the time to tell the story of every landmark we were interested in. She took us to so many delicious places, with my favourite a little wine bar where we were spoilt for great food. Highly recommend this tour around Montmarte!

We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful food, wine and insight into the French people and culture. The walk was a bit difficult as there was a lot of hills, but we took it slowly. We stopped at several places to taste the food and continued walking. For those who do not like to walk and eat, this could be an issue. The wine and cheese bar we went to was great and we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. We did not realize we would be seeing Paris from above at Montmarte - but it was a wonderful bonus. The view was spectacular. All in all it was an enjoyable afternoon that I definitely would repeat.

My partner and I loved this walking and tasting tour. We met our guide Christine, who was incredibly friendly, warm, and knowledgeable, at an outdoor food market in the morning. She was very passionate about her country, history, and the information was delivered in such a way that we felt like we were the first people with whom she had shared her knowledge. We started the tour in what I consider to be nirvana--a beautiful Fromagerie with a huge variety of cheeses and charcuterie. Christine taught us so much about the origins of the food names, and very importantly, the pride Parisians take in food preparation, presentation, and why they brand meats and poultry so one knows exactly where that protein comes from. We saw the freshest vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, sausages, and of course, breads and pastries. We also enjoyed seeing lovely shops, churches, and ancient, narrow streets and buildings. If you're a foodie or history buff, you MUST experience this tour. It's unforgettable. We adored Christine!!

You will love this tour! And, if you are lucky enough to get Elizabeth as your tour guide, you are in for a treat. She was wonderful. French culture and food are so intertwined and Elizabeth was expert at discussing both. A lovely couple joined us as we traveled through an open market, gourmet cheese shop, fabulous pastry shop, corner cafe, and charming wine shop. All the vendors were so informative and friendly. This was definitely one of the highlights of our Paris stay! Thank you Elizabeth.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We met at a outdoor food market early in the morning. A great chance to see how the locals buy their staples- fresh and colorful vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, bread.. Our guide Elizabeth- who was wonderful- took us through the market, explaining the how the different items were paired, cooked, etc. She took us to a near by award winning cheese shop where we sampled wonderful cheeses, then a great pastry shop and more samples! As we walked through the area St. Germain, 5th district I think, Elizabeth pointed out beautiful churches, shops, etc. We stopped and had coffee at a great little outdoor coffee shop/cafe. We finished at a local wine shop, where, as the owner explained the different wines we would taste, Elizabeth prepared the cheeses, baguettes and foie gras she had picked up along the way. Then the wine tasting and snacking began! We highly recommend this tour!

We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide Melissa was very knowledgeable about the Latin Quarter area and history and taught us a ton about all the food we saw. We learned all about different cheeses, wines and what to look for in a properly handmade baguette. The tour started with some pastries so don't eat breakfast then we walked around to different shops, learning and gathering food to put all together for the tasting at wine shop at the end. We were staying in the area and were very glad we did this at the beginning of stay. Melissa helped us get our bearings in the neighborhood and had great recommendations for restaurants to try over the rest of our trip. Only downside was that a few of the shops, including the meeting spot, were closed in August - but there were still plenty a great places open to make the tour worth it.

Our guide, David, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. He provided all kinds of background, history and insight into France's food history and the artisans, trade and craftspeople who produce the amazing food. I recommend the tour and would recommend that you ask for David. He is warm, smart, entertaining and a great host!

Mark was a terrific guide. He explained many of the French Cheeses, breads, and other foods in great detail. He showed us some very unique sites in the Latin Quarter and answered our many questions. A wonderful experience!

This is one of the most fun things we did in Paris. We toured Montmartre with our guide Eve. She did a wonderful job of describing things and pointing out cool little shops to check out. Because it rained she spent longer with us to make sure our experience was memorable. We tasted many local foodstuffs and generally had a good time. I would highly recommend Eve as a guide.

What a great time walking the St Germain area and spending time sampling the market produce and that of the specialist formageries and Boulangeries. Our guide was super informative on the area and the artisans producing the food and we had a memorable amble around the district capped of with tastings of the produce and wine. Formidable!

Lovely to have a walk and talk and taste around a new area of Paris. Have been back to some of the hidden haunts Thanks

We loved this tour. This intimate tour really showed us what French culture is all about. Mark was friendly and informative. It's more of casual tour which we needed after running around Paris fitting everything in. It ended with us being at the Sacre Coeur. Mark's knowledge along with the beautiful area of Montmartre really hooked us, so we will return to this beautiful area. The mixture of a walking tour with wines and food made it one to remember. I would recommend this tour fully!
