“
Amazing small group led tour. Learned a lot about the history of the beautiful city of Budapest while visiting many tourist attractions. Make sure to bundle up if you go in the winter as you will be outside for a good amount of the tour.”

“
This was one of the finest tours I have ever done. Met with most friendly and supportive people during this tour. I actually injured my knee during my trip to Europe. On my special request I was able to reschedule my tour for the next day due to my injury. I was only able to walk with the help of knee immobiliser. On arrival at the meeting point, I was greeted so well and they were even concerned about my injury. Since, it was a walking tour I was bit skeptical whether I will be able to complete this or not. But due to other friendly people and supportive tour guide I was able to see all the attractions even at my slow pace. I have really enjoyed Budapest and it’s beauty but that was only possible because of you guys. Thank you so much for supporting me and asking me time and again how am I feeling. This had really motivated me. Just for Absolute Tour, I am better now, it’s a ligament tear, might undergo a surgery. Big thumbs up to you guys and thank you so much, specially our tour guide, Prata you were so kind, humble and supportive.”

Our guide Christina was excellent, with a deep understanding and historical knowledge of her country and it’s people. She made it interesting and didn’t ever bore us. It was a well paced tour, the cafe stop is an absolute treat, particularly on a rainy day! Christina’s English is very fluent which also made the tour more enjoyable. It was a good tour to do on your first day in Budapest. We recommend this tour.”

“
We started our weekend in Budapest with this tour, and we're so pleased we did. Our guide Rebekah was so engaging and clearly loved the city and its history. We learned loads about Budapest and the history of Hungary, and Rebekah was more than happy to answer our questions.
The tour gave us a really good sense of the layout of the city, and we got lots of tips for how to spend the rest of our time there too.
We also had no idea how many different types of strudel there are!!
Thanks Rebekah, we had a great time with you, and we'd highly recommend this tour to anyone starting their trip to Budapest.”

We saw a lot in the 3 1/2 hour tour. We stopped at a cafe to try all sorts of strudels which were all very tasty. Took the metro as well to get to further sights.”

This was an excellent tour with a fabulous guide in Petra.
Very informative and small number of people which made it easy to get around.

“
We had a wonderful morning with our tour guide Krisztina and the other couples on our walking tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and it was a great way to get started in Budapest. We even spent another hour with the other two couples having a drink and lunch at Fisherman’s Bastion. We highly recommend this tour.”

“
Our guide, Koppany, was one of the best guides we ever had on any trip in any country. He was very well-informed, chatty and open to all kinds of discussions. He took us to many places, each very different, so the tour offered a lot of contrast between Buda and Pest. He also had a tablet with a lot of pictures showing the past and present of Budapest. We think every guide should bring some visual aids but alas, most don't. We had the good fortune to be the only couple on that tour so we learned a lot about not only the history of Budapest, but also insights into more cultural aspects of Hungary. Kudos to Kopp -- he is great!”

“
This was a very good tour and the perfect introduction to the main sights of Budapest. Our guide Ursula was excellent, she looked after us very well, was very informative and had a genuine passion for her own country plus was very helpful with any general questions that we asked her. I liked the way the tour also included a couple of rides on the underground and I loved the visit to the strudel restaurant near St Stephens Basilica for morning tea. I went back there again during my own free time. Buda Castle was a good place to end the tour and I enjoyed a couple of hours afterwards wandering round there.”

“
Our guide with Absolute Tours was Zsolt.... a local high school history and English teacher! Could you have designed a better tour or guide of the old city of Budapest? No! This tour with Z was a true gem... an insider look at the history of Budapest. Never had a tour guide who had such an extensive background in the history of the sites we saw. Great use of our time!”

I can't recommend this tour enough. I did this on my first full day as a single traveller. The guide KOPPY ( not so sure on the spelling) was absolutely superb, his local knowledge and passion about this stunning city was excellent. If you don't book anything else up apart from this, you will not be disappointed.”

What a wonderful tour this was. Sophie explained the heart and soul of Budapest while taking us throughout the city on a beautiful day. The coffee/cake break was superb! The staff was very accommodating to allergies and needs! I definitely recommend this tour to get the true essence and DNA of Budapest”
