The organizers are very friendly and professional. They taught me how to drive a Vespa motorcycle, we did group tests before leaving. The guide is a wonderful guy, very considerate and always in a very good mood. The tour was beautiful through the city and the mountains. I recommend it 200%!”

“
My group had 15 riders, mostly couples of all ages. As I often travel solo, sometimes there is a bit of a third-wheel feeling in tours that are full of couples, but not at all with this trip! The tour guide Stefano did excellent making sure everyone was happy and comfortable on the bikes, and with each other. He was patient and thorough in making sure everyone was able to ride the bikes safely as he explained how they worked, and the traffic rules. When riding, he led the group in a 1960s fiat, and we followed behind like little ducklings on our 1983 Vespas. We rode through tiny towns and around the Tuscan hills near Galluzzo Pozzolatico, near olive groves as workers picked olives for the harvest. We stopped at a gorgeous viewpoint above Florence where Stefano taught us about the history of the city, its architecture, and its Renaissance leaders. We had 2-course lunch of pasta and cheese/prosciutto at a beautiful garden overlooking the hills. It was excellent! Thank you Stefano and Walkabout tours! Five stars!”

“
I booked this tour because I had some college students that were going to be with us this day. I figured this was a little more their style. This ended up being one of ALL of our favorite tours! This wasn't your usual walking tour. We started downtown Florence, but soon crossed the bridge over to the Chianti countryside. It was so much fun riding on the Vespas thru the hills! I rode behind my husband on one Vespa, as I wanted to be able to take pictures along the way. I left the driving up to him. But most everyone else rode their own Vespa, and the tour guide does stop in multiple locations so everyone did have the opportunity to take pictures. The dinner at the end of the trip was at a charming farm house. The food was incredible! I would highly recommend this tour! Alex, our guide, was great!”

“
The trip started slow, in a back alley making sure everyone could ride a Vespa, but quickly turned into a great tour. Mingling in with the Florence traffic was an experience of its' own, but the views and scenery were the best. Our guide (Alberto?) was hilarious and very forgiving. His knowledge of the surroundings were top-notch. The meal at the end was quite delicious also”

“
The Vespa Tour with Walkabout was amazing. Our guide Christiano was knowledgable, kind, and funny. We started with a brief lesson how to operate the Vespa and then hit the road. We stopped at a picturesque lookout, basilica san miniato al monte and finally a beautiful vineyard for dinner and wine. The tour ended around 6:30pm (18:30) and was a highlight of our 10 day trip- well worth the price!”

“
I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to do something different in Florence. The vespas were a lot of fun, our tour guide took us to a few interesting stops (church, olive grove, old towns). It will be a highlight of your trip! Our guide also told us a lot of history about the area. They also have vintage cars to drive instead if a vespa is not your thing. Must do!”

My husband and I visited several cities in Italy and booked a variety of tours. This was hands down our favorite tour. It was everything you could want in an experience! Adventure, stunning views, food, wine, culture...I would do it again if I could!”

“
Loved the beautiful countryside, stop at olive grove/vineyard, zipping up into the hills, dinner afterwards, camaraderie with other riders from around the world. One of our favorite bookings. Mat was GREAT!”

“
This trip was one of the highlights of my trip. A little boring and annoying having to stand around for everyone to test ride a scooter, but that boredom was well and truly made up for by the ride and the stops made along the way. The food is a literal feast and a nice glass of chianti classico with it! Alex was our guide and he waa great!”

“
This was one of our favorite tours of our two week vacation! Awesome views and fun way to see the city. The meal and wine was unexpected as to how awesome it would be. The driving is not for beginner riders.”

“
The vespas are vintage. They split you into groups according to your ability. Riding through town was a little scary but once you got to the country it was much better, Lunch was good. Tour guide Chris was awesome! Very knowledgeable!”

“
This was so much fun for us to do while in Florence. We had two adults and a 20 and 18 year old (technically adults) and all of us loved it! It was raining out and we still had an amazing time despite the weather (we luckily brought those cheap rain coats they sell on the streets). I highly recommend! My only 'complaint' was they took a really long time "test driving" each person before leaving. It would have been much more effective and time saving to have a few more vespa's and employees testing more than just one person at a time per group. That took over an hour and 1/2 ... outside of that ~ it was wonderful ! Our tour guild was very knowledgable and was fun to be around.”

“
As a non motor bike rider, the vespas are easy to ride and handle. They are not overly powerful. They are a good way to get out of the busy city and see some of the immediate countryside. Even a brutal thunderstorm with torrential rain during our lunch break did not ruin the trip.”

“
Fantastic trip! Felt very safe with our guide Chris. Great variety, drove through busy Florence and quiet Tuscan lanes, stopped for some great views and finished with a great Italian meal in a superb setting. Thoroughly recommend x”

“
Alex was our guide and he was super knowledgeable and friendly. Of course, I'm the one in a million that had a little mishap on the vespa. He didn't skip a beat and he made me feel 100% okay about the situation. He couldn't have handled it better, which helped me continue to enjoy my experience. The sites were beautiful, the food was amazing. Would 100% recommend to someone.”
