Absolutely enjoyed this tour, we did the 1 hour and our guide Yusaku was so knowledgeable and hilarious. He took us through Kyoto visiting shrines and even the geiko districts. Yusaku stopped many times to take our picture and he did a fantastic job. I highly recommend this tour if you are with your significant other.

We went on a 2 hour rickshaw ride with another couple. Our ride took us all over the historic area. Our guides were full of information and spoke good English. They looked after us really well when we had a little rain and we stayed warm and dry. We were impressed with their professionalism. A highlight was going along a street where many of the geisha live. The street is not mentioned in the guide books and was deserted. We were very lucky to pass a geisha in the street as apparently they seldom appear during the day. Overall we thoroughly recommend this trip.

Such an amazing tour with the Kyoto Rickshaw crew! Words can't express how much fun this was. The guys that pulled our rickshaw were fun and informed us about all things Japan ranging from where to go and what means what. They also took the best photos. Can't recommend this more!

We booked two rickshaw 3 hours tour for myself, my husband and our 10 year old because we will not fit in one rickshaw. Our rickshaw driver/tour guides coordinated our tour very well. The tour was amazing because you are comfortable and at the same time, the tour-guide/rickshaw driver spoke English and were very knowledgeable about the places you visit. Our tour-guide were name U-chi Yochicuwa and Ki-yo.

We had booked an English speaking guide and it was so worth it to ride through the bamboo forest and out through some of the back block areas for an hour. Our guide was very friendly and helpful showing us different places and some of their history. Having never been in a rickshaw before this was quite an experience in the cold March weather wrapped up in a rug. We would recommend this trip to anyone.

This was a highlight of our visit to Japan. We received extremely detailed instructions to get from Kyoto railway station to our awaiting rickshaw at Arashiyama. Our rickshaw boy was so helpful and professional and was a very good photographer. We asked to see the bamboo grove so we went there first. and then went around many streets and byways, some of which were uphill. This did not faze our man one little bit. We had opted for a two hour ride and we were glad we had as this gave more time to see all the sights without rushing. We felt like royalty passing all the foot tourists and in the first few hundred meters two tourists asked how they could do such a tour. Highly recommended.

The rickshaw tour was incredible. Our rickshaw operator Aki was simply the nicest guy. So happy with a big smile the whole time. And he was also quite knowledgeable, and a great photographer to boot. It would have been worth it for the pictures alone I think. He got a neat looking vertical panoramic on our iphone in the bamboo forest. Then he showed us a picture of him taking Steve Carell around on a recent rickshaw tour in the area. It was legit, he was standing right next to him. Anyway, I highly suggest you have them end the tour near the entrance to the monkeys and go play with them up on the mountain for a while after your rickshaw tour. Just make sure you can walk all the way up the mountain, it took about 20 mins of huffing and puffing to get up there. But we weren't breathing as hard as Aki was after he took us around on the rickshaw, I can assure you of that

AMAZING Tour! Highly recommend! We took the 2 hour long ride and wish we would have done the 3 hour. We visited Arashiyama. Beautiful greens, bamboo forest, and our driver even took us to a Buddist temple. Very small and quaint tucked within a neighborhood. The garden was beautiful! Spoke really good english and knew much about the lore around town. He stopped to take several pictures of us. Great experience and is on my to do list for our next visit!

Can't remommend this tour enough!! We had a 2 hour tour or Arashiyama with Ita and it was excellent. Ita was a superb driver, had excellent English and was very knowledgable and friendly. He took us to lots of places off the beaten track including a beautiful temple where we were the only visitors.

This was absolutely a highlight of our trip. My husband and I had ITA as our driver and his knowledge of the area set the tone for the rest of our day. We've seen areas that walking tourists would easily miss. We could never repay his kindness and his patience. Forever grateful for his hard work!

Awesome tour! He was able to take me places I never would have found myself. We were almost the only ones at three different shrines and temples, on a day when the main strip was packed. Thanks again!

This event was outstanding and one of the highlights of the trip to Japan for my kids and grandkids. The young men who pulled for the family were excellent and the family loved them. You have an excellent company and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Japan and Kyoto. Thank you for your service. Rick Younts

The guides were superb, superb in knowledge about the ancient area, super friendly and super helpful. Highly recommended to all first timers. Although slightly pricey but great value.

We enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very friendly telling us of past history and answering our many questions. He also took the time to take photos which will remind us of Kyoto. We visited temples, the bamboo forest, etc., which we could not have done by foot given the limited time we had.

Excellent experience in Kyoto! My wife and I made a last minute decision to do a rickshaw tour and we couldn't be happier with the experience. We did a 45 minute tour, but we wish we had done a full hour. Kiyo was our driver and he was awesome! Very nice and informative, I got the feeling that all the drivers were exceptionally nice because whenever we passed another rickshaw they always gave us a big wave and smile. Kyoto is a beautiful place and the rickshaw is a cool way of seeing the sights, especially the bamboo forest. It was raining when we went, which at first I was bummed about, but the rickshaw is set up to block the rain and they had blankets and seat warmers to keep us comfortable. I would actually prefer to do the rickshaw on a rainy day to avoid having to walk around with a poncho and umbrella. Cannot recommend enough, worth every penny!
