If you don't have a car, this day trip is a great way to see the pyramids and explore the area. Rodrigo was a fantastic guide!

It is very hard to be in a good mood early in the morning, wet after rain cold and angry, the guides managed to turn around this tour for everyone. They created an amazing day of adventures, thank you.

My day started off horrible. My travel mate got drunk the night before and didn't make it on the bus. As a female traveling alone in Mexico several hours from my resort I was petrified!!! Marco the tour guide went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable though and I truly had an amazing time! I loved the stop at the cathedral, the lunch was family style with us all sharing a table and it was really nice to talk to the other tour members from around the world. Chichen Itza was extremely hot (take an umbrella or rent one for $4usd) but the sights were amazing!!! The Cenote swim had amazingly breathtaking views and was SO refreshing! I'm so glad I went on this tour even if I had to do it on my own. I'd gladly paid twice this amount for this tour... Oh wait..I did! 🤦

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guide provided a lot of background information on the pyramids and other structures. The swim in the cenote was an interesting experience, which we enjoyed.

It was great. (Super) Frank did a great job explaining the Maya history and showing us the sights. Be prepared for a long day. We left at 7am and got back around 8 pm.

This was our first time in Cancun and of course we had to do this tour. The reviews did not lie. We loved this tour company. Our guide Caesar and driver Jorge were spectacular. Caesar was very knowledgeable and entertaining. As a bilingual passenger I couldn’t stop thinking how phenomenal Caesars English was. Everything was translated to a T. He discussed the history behind each destination and was very educational. I had seen reviewers complaining about the order of the tour but I believe it was in the precise order. Do I wish we could have stayed in the locations longer, yes. However, there’s a reason for the timing of the locations because there’s a drive to get to each destination. We had stopped in Valladolid first and were there for approx 20 minutes. They dropped us off in the center of the city so we could quickly take pictures. Then we headed off to Chichén Itzá and were there for a good amount of time. Approx 3 hours, give or take. However it was perfect because it was relatively hot and extremely humid. Recommend taking an umbrella if you’re traveling during a hot time of year and buy a good amount of water before entering, no water is sold inside the grounds. However, water can be purchased before entering the grounds and they do have umbrellas for rent. Ending with the cenote was the cherry on top. It was very refreshing and beautiful. We were there for about an 1 hour. We left around 8:30am and we were dropped off to our meeting spot with a taxi waiting to take us to our hotel (only for hotel pick-up) around 7:30pm so it’s a long day. Make sure you’re well rested, and comfortable, it’s a long day.

Let me start by saying this was a great tour to go on and I personally had a lot of fun. You start out by going to Valladolid which I personally would've rather spent the time in Chichen Itza. You get a short time to walk around and it just seems out of the way an not necessary. Next you stop for lunch which is an opportunity to buy a souvenir from the folks where you eat lunch. Third you go to Chichen Itza an get about 2 hours to tour. It really isn't enough time to see and explore everything you'd like to explore. I was able to see everything because I did not stick with the tour group but I was walking pretty fast through the ruins. Finally you get to swim in the Cenote which was a lot of fun. The ride back is pretty long since most of us were staying in the Hotel Zone in Cancun, 2.5 hours. It was a really cool experience but again more time at Chichen Itza would've made the trip better.

We book this tour based on the good reviews on Viator. Amigo Tours did not disappoint. Our tour guide Frank was knowledgeable and passionate about the Mayan people and their culture. He shared a lot of information with the group and was very open to questions. There was a very short stop at Valladolid for photos. The Cenote was a refreshing end to a long day. It was a long tour so cater for a 12 to 14 hour day. Our driver Charlie stopped for restroom breaks on the way back which I thought was very considerate. Overall, we rate this tour an A+!!!!

Our entire family loved the tour. Oscar was super nice and very knowledgeable. He explained everything in both spanish and english to accomodate everyone on the bus. The stops were fun and well spaced. We were very comfortable. The lunch and shopping was great-not too long, and great selection of things to buy. Chichen Itza and the Cenote surpassed our expectations. Overall a great day made even better by our awesome guide. Would definitely book again and encourage others to as well.

This was an absolutely wonderful trip. It is a long day, but it is full of activities to get the most out of your experience and time. The hotel pick up was prompt and friendly and we were on the high way by 830am. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned. The stop at the church was a nice break and made for a beautiful photo opportunity. The market and buffet were quite excellent, with a wide variety to choose from. I had finished lunch by 12:30pm, with lovely dancing entertainment as well. We arrived at Chichen Itza at about 1:00pm and learned much about the Mayan history which was fascinating! Our tour operator Casear was wonderful and really knew his facts. He was friendly and also humorous! He also gave us a good amount of time for some exploration and photography after his tour of the area. The Cenote trip was absolutely wonderful and made for a refreshing end to the trip! It was truly beautiful to get the opportunity to do this! I arrived back at my hotel at around 8:40pm. It was definitely worth the money and the time! Thank you for the wonderful experience! It truly made a bucket list wish come true!

Timing was great. No time wasted. Very efficient .We are always the first group arriving at an attraction point. We have visited 3 places plus lunch. The whole package was well planned and efficiently executed. Oue tour guide Nestor was great. He is knowledgeable and very nice. Spending 2 hours at Chichen itza is good enough for me. Everything is just right. Great tour .

We had an amazing trip with David! He was so incredibly knowledgeable, it was a pleasure to learn about Mayan history and culture (and of course, Chichen Itza). The colonial church, cenote, and Chichen Itza were all absolutely beautiful. Also, the lunch was delicious. Probably the best tacos I had all week in Mexico! The bus was also very comfortable and had AC. Simply a wonderful experience overall! Even the kids loved it!

Overall the trip was great! This is the second time using this service. Nestor took very good care of the group. As always pack accordingly, water, sunscreen etc

When the guides tell you "you could do this trip by yourself and remember a bunch of rocks or you can come with us and learn an incredible part of the Mexican culture" they couldn't be more accurate. WE had a wonderful experience thanks to them and I can assure they were at 100%. Even the temperature was really hot at times, they never stopped telling us about the history. The cenote was totally worth it as well. Truly recommended for everyone.

Frank our guide and Ramon our driver were great!! Recommend this trip for anyone who vacations in Cancun
• Submitted 03 Jul 2019
Frank and Ramon took us on a wonderful tour of the Yucatan! Got to see some local cities, experienced local cuisine, and much more. The highlight was when Frank gave us a tour of the temples of chitzen itza. he was incredibly knowledgeable and we learned very many things about the Mayas and their civilization. And then at the end we got to go take a swim and a very refreshing cenote. Highly recommend, prepare for hot weather. Bring extra water. It is sold on the premises, but it is not cold nor cheap.
