After introductions with your guide, set off to explore Amsterdam like the locals do: by bike! With around 250 miles (400 km) of bike lanes and paths traversing the flat urban terrain, Amsterdam is a cyclist's dream.

Follow your seasoned guide around the city by bike, as they lead you to well-known local landmarks and lesser-known attractions. No one tour will be the same; each individual guide tailors the route to best show off their local knowledge.

You might start of at Museum Square, home to three of the city’s major museums including the Van Gogh Museum, then cruise onward to the bustling Dam Square to admire views of the classical Royal Palace.

Venture into the infamous Red Light District and observe how grand architecture sits side by side with seedy neon-lit alleys. Hear about the liberal drug and prostitution laws that govern the city, and let your guide point out interesting venues and nightclubs.

Afterward, you might slow things down on a serene ride through Vondelpark, a green oasis in the city, or journey through the much sought-after Jordaan district, a picturesque old working class neighborhood. Alternatively, seek out Anne Frank House, where the young diarist and her family hid from the Nazis.

Toward the end of the tour, sit down for a drink with your guide at one of their favorite local hangouts (own expense), then return to the departure point in central Amsterdam, where your tour concludes.

Super fun and challenging too. Not for the faint of heart...definitely gives you a taste of Amsterdam!

This was absolutely terrific! Highly recommend. Loved the guide. Not too hard getting around at all on a bike which was our concern with all the riders and narrow streets.

Our guide was great. The tour was good in that it took you off the beaten track and allowed you to experience daily living in Amsterdam.

What a wonderful experience! Biking around this bike-dominant city was so much fun and our tour guide Sander was incredible. He was very knowledgeable of the history, the architecture and the museums. I would advise this tour to anyone visiting the area!

A fun way to see Amsterdam, despite the rain. They did provide good ponchos. Our guide was knowledgeable and easy to understand and provided a lot of information about Amsterdam.

It was a lot of fun to ride a round town like a local, ringing my bell at all the tourists. The tour guide Adam was informative and the tour covered all the bases. I haven’t ridden a bike in years. Apart from a few hairy moments I didn’t fine it too difficult

Great way to see and learn about the city of Amsterdam. You have to be alert on the bike at all times due to volumes of people and transport along the way but I loved every minute of the experience and would recommend Mike's bike tour to all!

Our tour guide, David, was amazing! I am sure that all of your tour guides are great, but there was a group of 6 of us traveling together from Pennsylvania and we all thought David was fantastic - he made the tour! We enjoyed traveling around like a true local from Amsterdam and hearing about your beautiful city. David brought up so many interesting things that we would not have known had he not pointed them out to us. I will recommend everyone that is visiting Amsterdam to use Mike's Bike Tours and if possible to ask for David!

Although there were some areas of the city that were difficult to manuever through, we all still managed and had a fantastic time. We didn't lose anyone, which was amazing. Our tour guide Teo was really fun and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed all his personal stories about his life and experiences living in Amsterdam. We were fortunate to have Teo accompany us again for our tour of the countryside the following day. I would highly recommend this tour, as well as the countryside tour.

Great bike tour! Informative and Teo made it even more enjoyable with his knowledge of the history of the City Of Amsterdam which is absolutely spectacular!!

Really well run tour from beginning to end. Highly recommended. Got much more out of this than the canal tour.

This should be an absolute must for anyone visiting Amsterdam. We had a fantastic tour guide, Patrick and we saw the entire city and learned more about the culture and history than from the on/off bus. This tour made our trip!

This was excellent. Everyone should do this.

The tour was a really amazing way to see the city and to see how the natives get around on bikes. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learnt a lot. He also made sure nobody was left behind and that everybody was safe. The ride was at an easy relaxed pace. I would recommend this tour wholeheartedly.

Absolutely well worth the time and money. Highly recommend you do this on your first day in Amsterdam as it will assist you in selecting the rest of your tours in the city. Fantastic way to see the city and the best part was the cycling goggle of knowledge of Holland as well as Amsterdam even thou he was British. Comfortable bikes and easy cycling with plenty of stops, Go Mikes Tours

I loved this tour!! Our tour guide was great! He was funny, informative, really friendly and made the experience really worthwhile. He was also very honest about Amsterdam's interesting aspects Red Light District and Vondelpark, and offered mildly critical commentary about the city, too. I appreciated that. If you visit Amsterdam and you are physically able you simply must get on a bicycle and pedal around. Hands down, it is the best way to see the city. Do what the locals do. Listen carefully to the rules of the road in terms of bike, pedestrian and auto etiquette. That part is important. If you are older don't let that scare you off from this experience. I am 58-years-old. I took the tour with my 17-year-old daughter. I was by far the oldest person in this tour and I did just fine. Go for it!

Very fun tour. This was a really fun tour since everyone in Amsterdam rides bikes so it was fun to engage in something the locals do everyday. Our tour guide was the colonel. He is from Amsterdam so he was very knowledgeable about the city. He briefed us on where we were going to visit, the bikes, and some of the rules to follow while on the bikes. You hit various highlights along the way and stop to talk about the spots/landmarks. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Amsterdam.

Nice tour for the price. Simon was my guide. Knowledgeable and good english. Got to see a decent amount of Amsterdam - so I was happy about that. I especially like his demonstration of below sea level in the park and how the houses are established in the canals.

This was a very good tour and I highly recommend it. What a great way to learn about a city. I also appreciate that ponchos were provided as we did have to stop and put them on towards the end of the tour.

I have always wanted to tour Amsterdam by bike but always felt intimidated about the traffic. Our guide took us on streets that were less crowded and we got to see the highlights! We loved it!
