I thoroughly recommend this tour as a great way to see more of Portugal than just Lisbon. Went out into country side and visited two great but different wineries plus a fantastic castle and many other things. Nuno Machado was the perfect guide and went to so much trouble to make the tour so enjoyable and personal. Book this tour and ask for Nuno

This was a great way to spend a day. Our guide Rui was fantastic!! He was knowledgeable about the area and fun to hang out with. The wine was delicious and it was a great way to see some of the Portugese countryside.

We had a fabulous tour guide which made our day special. Visiting a tile factory tasting wine accompanied with a seafood lunch at Sesimbra by the sea was awesome

I took this tour on May 22nd and was extremely pleased with the entire experience. We started at Hard Rock Cafe where we met with our guide. After getting in the van the first thing he did was ask us to introduce ourselves, tell where we were from and then we were off. Along the way out of the city he pointed out different points of interest and answered questions about everything from the unemployment rate to information about Portugal’s universities. He continued to give us information about what we could expect during our tour. The first stop was the castle of Palmers that is now a hotel. He walked us throughout the area giving us more information about the history of the area and pointed out surrounding areas. Next stop was the beaches along the Atlantic, then on to our first winery, Jose Maria Da Fonseca. A guide from the winery walked us through the history and facilities and then to the tasting room. We tasted two of their wines, the Periquita Reserve and a white which I don’t remember the name of. Then on to lunch at a small fishing village on the Atlantic. The fresh fish was wonderful and the views spectacular. After lunch we has a bit of time to do some shopping and then on to our second winery, a small fairly new facility, but the wine was great. Our guide did the pouring and presentation at this winery. He went into depth about each of the 4 wines that were presented. From there we started back to Lisbon with one stop left before arriving back in the city. The last stop was at the Monument of Cristo Rei across the river from Lisbon. Spectacular views and spiritual place. Then back to Lisbon. The tour is all day but the time went by quickly due to our guide continually sharing information and answering question. Well worth the time and cost. Would do this tour again and and tour with our guide.

It was a wonderful day! There were three of us on the tour. Our guide, Andre, was wonderful. He kept us entertained on the drive and was very knowledgeable about the area and the places we visited.

This was a great tour. We all had a great time. Our guide, Maritas was extremely knowledgeable, very informative, and extremely friendly and sociable. A great way to see the sites, learn about and enjoy the wines of Portugal and some great seafood in Sesimbra. Would highly recommend this tour.

Grear tour! Our guide was terrific and made the tour so much more entertaining, thanks to his great sense of humor. Wine tasting was enjoyable, introducing us to grapes we have not tasted before

We had to walk to the pick up point but it was well worth it, plus the pickup point was not very far from our hotel. Our tour guide Jose was the best. He was attentive, knowledgeable and a really sweet person. Lots of questions were asked by the other occupants of the van and Jose answered all the questions and additionally shared the country's history. The drive through the countryside was beautiful. We visited 2 wineries, the smaller one before lunch and the larger after lunch. There was a tour guide for the larger winery. Jose recommended lunch at a nice restaurant in the seaside village. We had an interesting and delicious seafood meal served directly from a very used old pot. We continued on to one other stop before heading back to the hotel. This was a really nice trip. If you decide to choose this trip which you should ask for Jose, he is the best.

Great tour. Juao, Paulo, Salvatore, and Ricardo were great guides. If you are looking for a nice day trip outside of Lisbon this is a great way to spend your day. Just to set expectations, I wouldn't describe this as a wine tour, rather a day trip with stops at two wineries. That said, it's lovely, and you will be back in time for dinner and going out back in Lisbon.

This was a fantastic tour which showcased two of Lisbons premier vineyards - one a small boutique wine maker, the other Portugals largest wine maker who exports all over the world. Led by a really knowledgeable guide Joao we got to learn about and taste some of Portugals great wines, as well as to travel through beautiful countryside, stopping for a seafood lunch at Sesimbra and finishing at Cristo Rei for the most amazing views of Lisbon and the 25th April bridge. We would throughly recommend this tour and not just to wine lovers as it is an easy way of seeing some of the beautiful countryside just on the outskirts of Lisbon.

What a great day we spent with Andre Costa and the towns of Arribida and Sesmbra! Andre was an excellent guide with great insights because he grew up in this area. He took us to great vineyards were we could sample and purchase our tastings. My wife and I really enjoy this type of tour because it would take us too much time to navigate ourselves to all the locations. Sit back and let Andre do all the driving! A wonderful experience - we highly recommend it to people who want to see something outside Lisbon!

It's a small group of 6 in this tour including the driver and guide. There are 2 understudies tagging along as well. The wine tasting went really well. But I love watching the roaring wild Atlantic waves crashing into the shore from the restaurant where I had my lunch.

Nuno was a great guide! The tour was awesome. He was very enthusiastic and passionate. He also went out of his way to show us things and take us places that were not officially on the tour. He was very fun to be around and very knowledgable. It was a great day.

Having taken about ten of these small group tours already during my stay in Portugal, I was looking for a relaxing, interesting day with sightseeing and some wine tasting. The meeting place at the Hard Rock Cafe was a bit chaotic, but probably the best way to organize things so people knew they were in the right place for the tour. I got a little nervous when someone I was talking to was on the same tour, but when names were called, he was summoned by the guide, but I wasn't. Did they leave me off? No. There were two separate vans. Our van was duo-lingual, and perhaps the other was all in English. We visited some very interesting towns, including the pretty beach town of Sesimbra, which had some of the highest meal prices I had seen in all of Portugal. Our guide, Joao, was very knowledgeable and it amazes me how these guides can be a driver and a multi-lingual guide and not get exhausted by the end of the day or sooner. Others have described this tour in depth, so I won't repeat. Except to say that it wouldn't be the first day trip i would take from Lisbon, because others have more history, but this was quite relaxing and allows you to see a bit more of another side of Portugal and some of its unique, flavorful wines.

On a scale of ten this was a Ten. The small group was really nice, and the people were great. We had a couple from Norway, Canada and Boston, plus a Mexican business lady from Mexico. Juao was excellent. The wine was really good and really inexpensive. Our guide was very informative, and when he got a question he could not answer, he researched it while we were having lunch. I not only would recommend this tour, I would do it again next time in Lisbon.

This tour with our guide Jaime from Inside Lisbon was the highlight of our trip. Jaime provided great details about each of the sites we visited, including an impromptu stop at the Azulejos de Azeitao tile studio. Highlight of the day was our visit to a small family winery where we tasted four wines the pours were generous. We quickly became friends with others in our small group, exchanging contact information at the end of the day. We highly recommend this tour, and Inside Lisbon. Their meeting location at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Restauradores plaza is very convenient and visible.
