Flying to Tanzania from South Africa:
Tanzania is a comfortable 4-6 hour flight from South Africa. There are a number of international transport hubs in Tanzania - Kilimanjaro international airport and the Julius Nyerere international airport at Dar es Salaam. There's also a domestic airport at Arusha. Which airport you need to fly in or out of will depend on your chosen tour. From Johannesburg you can fly direct to Dar es Salaam with South African Airways and Fastjet Airlines in under 4 hours. From Cape Town a transit stop will be made in Johannesburg en route. If flying to Kilimanjaro from Johannesburg one of the quickest options is with Fastjet Airlines via Dar es Salaam. Another good option is with Kenya Airlines via Nairobi.
