Below are some of the key sites we recommend for your perfect holiday to Thailand.
Inspirations for a holiday in Thailand
See the best of amazing Thailand on a tailor made holiday. Below are some of our favourite things to do whilst visiting Thailand.
Thai boxing at Lumpinee Stadium
If you are looking for a classically Thai entertainment experience then head for a night of skilful Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) at Lumpinee Stadium. The newly opened arena hosts about 9 fights a night (about 3 times a week) and is a great way to see this authentically Thai sport. Farangs (Westerners) are generally seated ringside but ladies be careful not to touch the ring – this is considered bad luck for the fighters!
No trip to Bangkok or indeed Thailand is complete without heading for a night of sparkly flamboyant entertainment from the country’s third gender! Enjoy a delicious traditional Thai meal beforehand and sip on a tasty beverage whilst you are watching the show. The theatre is in Asiatique – the riverfront former dockyard of Bangkok now transformed into a trendy open air shopping mall.
Cooking class in Chiang Mai
Head to the countryside and learn to prepare and cook a Thai meal from scratch using organic ingredients from the garden. On your own personal cooking station rustle up fluffy jasmine rice, pound your own curry paste, fry delicious spring rolls and of course create the perfect pad thai! Afterwards you’ll get to taste the fruits of your labour washed down with a tasty beverage or two!
Scuba diving on Koh Tao
Thailand is a great place to learn to dive and Koh Tao has grown to become one of the kingdom’s premier diving destinations. With a heap of top dive sites a short boat ride away and a number of top class dive schools on the island – it’s the perfect place to learn how to dive or for those who can already dive to head out into the warm waters that are teaming with colourful fish and possibly a whale shark or two!
Kayaking in Krabi
Explore the beautiful mangrove forests of Ao Thalane near Krabi by relaxing sea kayak. Discover small inlets, hidden caves and beautiful lagoons all set amongst a stunning karst back drop. Look out for a plethora of birdlife including kingfishers and herons, as well as the resident monkeys! Stop for a delicious local lunch before continuing back to Krabi.
Cascading over seven unique tiers, Erawan Falls near Kanchanaburi are a great place to visit for a refreshing dip and a picturesque hike. Most people just make it to the first few waterfalls but if you have time to adventure further up you will be blessed with less crowds however the walk gets a bit more challenging – but the views and stunning plunge pools certainly make up for it.

Bangkok to Buddhism
While soaring skyscrapers and neon lights greet travellers in Bangkok, outside of the capital traditional scenes of rural life can still be found in abundance, from the farming communities of central Thailand to the hill tribes of Chiang Rai. With a rich cultural heritage heavily influenced by the wide-spread practice of Theravada Buddhism, saffron-clad monks and gleaming temples are a familiar sight throughout the country and impressive to behold.
