Our guide was very knowledgeable. He lived thru the troubles and even lost his job because of his religion. It really opened our eyes to what had occurred I highly recommend this tour

Great tour! This is a wonderful way to learn about the troubles and gain insight into the people and politics of Northern Ireland.

Our guide was great! He was very flexible in scheduling our start time since were were arriving from Dublin that day and unsure when we would get settled in Belfast. He was very knowledgeable about the murals and gave meaningful insight about the Troubles.

This tour was fabulous. Our guide was remarkably knowledgeable, articulate and charming. It was well worth every penny and then some. I can't recommend this tour more highly, especially for those who want to put history in perspective, learn the issues of the troubles from both sides and discover how that history impacts on today in Belfast. This was an excellent tour ! Jackie was exceptional , friendly, cheerful , great historian and tour guide and .This tour was a highlight of our 4 days in Ireland / Northern Ireland. We learnt a lot about the political 'troubles' and were given good opportunities for photo's at the various places. I highly recommend this tour and feeling that I have a much better understanding of the political history in Belfast.

Barry, with an amazing policing background, was an excellent guide. He really brought the last 50 years to life. This was a highlight of our trip... Such a deep and riveting history. Fantastic and moving tour that you won't want to miss. It will change your perspectives. Thank you, Barry!

My 3 friends and I spent a fascinating and emotional afternoon learning about and experiencing both sides of the Peace Wall. Our guide so sorry we can't remember your name! was so interesting and patient with us and gave us as much time as we needed to get out, take photos and reflect. I even had time to listen to part of a church service and say a prayer. The tour was presented very well and provided historical and very personal knowledge. Our holiday in Ireland and this tour exceeded all our expectations and is an experience we will always remember. Thank you so much! Louise, Annie, Carmen and Hilary

An informative, balanced, sophisticated, eye-opening tour. It is a must for any visitor of Belfast

I knew very little about 'the troubles' in Northern Ireland and our tour guide, Jackie, remedied that quickly. He was informative, funny, and told the history from both sides giving us a good understanding of the British/Irish struggle from the beginning until today--yes, the Peace Wall still exists. The intimate nature of this in a cab makes the tour especially effective.

So much more than we expected or hoped! Amazing, eye-opening, inspiring, outstanding, unforgettable. If you have a heart, you will be moved, whatever your views. Next time we are in Belfast, we will do this again and plan on spending extra time for more depth. Thank you, Jackie!

This was a fantastic way to be introduced to the city of Belfast. Steven was very knowledgeable, unbiased, and generous with his time in his presentation so that you understand the history. We learnt so much about the Troubles and the continual work for peace in this city which started long before you would have thought. It is history in living memory. Would recommend the tour to anyone.

Very professional. Driver was very knowledgeable about the history. Freedom wall was very interesting. He even had a marker so that we could leave our own message.

This tour was by far the best thing we did in our weekend in Belfast......If you are lucky enough to get Mark as your guide you are in for a treat.... This tour with Mark deserves the highest acclamation you could give it. He picked us up at the hotel dead on the time stated at 1000Hrs and explained that the tour would last approx 1hour 30 mins as in the guide when you book it, he asked what we would like to get out of the tour and where would like to be dropped off. The tour began on the Republican side Falls Road and we had an in depth chat about all the murals we spent time at, on the day we did the tour it was a Sunday so very little traffic around which made for easier listening and stopping. Mark explained the three gates to the Protestant side which we saw as we passed and two of them were closed.....meaning there was some unrest likely, although I knew it was a marching band later in the day due. we eventually traversed to the Shankill Road through the third and last gate and viewed the peace wall at extrent, how moving is this piece of diabolical structure.......but it has served it's purpose. The protestant side if anything was very moving so much more than the Catholic side, Mark went to great lengths to explain all the atrocities that were committed in an unbiased way. At the end f our tour which had lasted 2 hours and thrity minutes, mark drove us to the Titanic quarter where we were to spend the afternoon. Nothing compares to what we have had in the morning and Mark, I thank you and all your hard work you do as a mediator between the two communities. Let's hope brexit doesn't bugger things up!!!. Fab tour Fab guide BOOK IT!!!!

We went on the Mural Tour on 22nd July 2017. We had a fantastic Tour Guide Mo who was very knowledgeable and spoke very passionately about each Mural. We didn't realise how emotional it was going to be. Utterly heart-wrenching. Notwithstanding this it is a must do if you visit Belfast. Thank you Mo for a great and memorable experience. :-

This was hands down one of the top experiences I had during my trip to Ireland. First off I want to say thank you to Michael, who was amazing with his communication and extremely patient with my lack of phone service and intermittent wifi! and very accomodating especially once I had figured out I booked my tour for the wrong date. Our tour guide was Jackie and he was absolutely fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the history of Northern Ireland and the murals. He was excellent in how he presented the politics of both sides and the importance of working together as people to respect differences and work toward peace. He allowed me the time to take as many pictures as I wanted and was happy to answer any and all questions I had. I loved the charm of the old black cabs and even learned of their significance as well and the intimate feel of a personal tour. Jackie did an outstanding job of thoroughly explaining the significance of each mural before we got out to look at them up close and take pictures. This in itself is what sets apart just looking at the murals on your own self guided tour. I was a little nervous this would turn out to be just a super cheesy money trap tour, but I can't express enough how much I truly enjoyed it. The concierge at our hotel told us there are several companies out there that don't do the greatest job on this tour. I can honestly say this company is NOT one of those. This tour is a must do if visiting Belfast and Michael and Jackie are top notch!

When you're traveling with teens it's nearly impossible to keep them engaged and enthusiastic about history - but this tour did. For more than two hours, our guide drove us through the streets, telling us all about Ireland's/Belfast's history- and as a former police officer, his personal journey thru the troubles. We were given ample time to see the murals, take photos and see the gates that even today separate a city. Well worth the time and money. Very glad we did this.

This is a great way to see a bit of Belfast and learn about its political history. Our driver Michael was informative and fun and picked us up outside our Airbnb and dropped us back again 90 minutes later.

Though I was disappointed that my taxi was not black, this was an excellent tour and highly recommended. My driver, Mo, was very knowledgeable and unbiased in his opinions of the troubles. We visited both the Catholic and Protestant sections of west Belfast and the tour was insightful and very informative. I thoroughly enjoyed the couple of hours I spent on this tour and found it very informative and interesting.

Thank you Patrick for an excellent commentary on this history of Belfast! I enjoyed the comfort of the black taxi and the pick up at our hotel. Viewing these murals and seeing the city from the perspective of someone who had grown up in the area was very enlightening. Your knowledge of these times and how Northern Ireland was affected was very interesting conversation. I recommended this tour to all the travelers we met for the rest of our vacation.
