Meet your expert guide at the bus station in central Inverness to begin your tour. Then, leave the city by air-conditioned coach and travel southwest to Clansman Harbor. As you travel, listen to your guide sharing interesting stories and details about Inverness and Loch Ness.

Set on the north shores of what is perhaps the most mysterious stretch of water in the world, Loch Ness’ Clansman Harbor lies at the foot of rambling hills, just a stone’s throw from Inverness’ city center. Here, switch your coach for a cruise boat and take in the stunning natural vistas as you slip away from shore toward the romantic ruins of Urquhart Castle. Keep looking out for a glimpse of the fabled Loch Ness Monster as you glide!

Enjoy a 1-hour tour of the dilapidated castle that, in its 500 years as a medieval fortress, has a particularly dark and bloody past. Learn about King Edward I’s invasion in the 13th century, its importance during the Scots’ struggle for independence in the 14th century and the raids from MacDonald Lord of the Isles during the 15th and 16th centuries.

After exploring the ruins, reboard your coach and head to the Loch Ness Centre and Exhibition. Opened over 30 years ago, the multimedia exhibition center boasts seven themed areas that are crammed with over 500 million years of history, mystery and legends of Loch Ness and its famous monster, Nessie.

Following your 1-hour independent visit of the center, enjoy a scenic coach ride back to central Inverness, where your tour concludes.

Absolutely wonderful from start to finish! Alan was both entertaining and very knowledgeable. As a general rule we don’t care for bus tours and we were actually sorry to see this one end.

If you are into amazing scenery and a bit of history then this is a must see location, our tour guide/driver Allan was very friendly with a great sense of humour and he made the trip even more unforgettable with his commentary. There was also a nice suprise when we left the Loch Ness Centre.

Loch Ness by Jacobite tours is worth every penny. The tour guide Alan, is very witty and is pleasant to listen to. Also, quite knowledgeable. I felt a little rushed at the castle, it would be very easy to spend hours wandering the grounds. The visitor center and the film on the castle are worth visiting.

This was great! And we discovered our new favorite cold-weather drink of hot chocolate and single-malt scotch!

Although I am sure we spotted her, the tour was a lot of fun and a really nice day out on the water. The castle was fun to visit and an outstanding video of the history was a great element of the tour.

A great tour. Perfect if you dont have a lot of time and still want to experience Loch Ness and walk around the castle. Our guide Allen was entertaining and kept us on track.

Very entertaining bus driver whose name I have forgotten already even though he said to remember him and say how good he was. Anyway apart from the cold wind and overcast day in the middle of summer the boat trip was informative and the beauty surrounds were fab. The castle remains were fascinating along with the story telling guide if you had time enough to sit around and listen but time was limited for those of us who like to read and climb everything. The Loch Ness center was good as well. Well worth the four hours.

We were a bit reluctant to take a tour as we don't usually like being very scheduled, but this tour was fantastic! Our tour guide Allan was both informative and funny, making the bus ride to the boat and the ride back very interesting. Urquhart Castle is lovely - you have about 55 minutes to explore. I would have loved a bit more time as we didn't really have time to look at the gift shop, but overall, the tour was really great - highly recommended!!!

Absolutely wonderful. Driver was a lovely guide ( and had lovely weather luckily). Beautiful cruise, not cramped. Fantastic castle with awesome views. Highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour. You get exactly what you sign up for. The Urquhart Castle can be hard to get around for older people. The staircases that remain in this castle were not meant for huge crowds. We did not see the Loch Ness Monster, but I did see a duck.

Very nice tour of the Loch Ness area. The tour departed promptly with a well informed guide. The included cruise and the Exhibition Center made the overall visit to Loch Ness a very memorable experience.

We really enjoyed this tour! The bus driver/tour guide, David was the best. He had a great sense of humor and gave us lots of interesting history and information about the area. It was obvious to us that he really enjoyed what he does. He was patient and simply a joy! The tour was 5 stars from the beginning to end. The cruise was beautiful. The castle was one of the most scenic and picturesque spots on our entire 2 week trip to Ireland and Scotland. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the beautiful landscapes and scenery of Inverness, Scotland, and take a boat ride on the magnificent Loch Ness water.
