This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Post Office, 06 Trần Hưng Đạo, Sơn Phong, Hội An, Quảng Nam, Vietnam

We will meet our guide there.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Hoi An Ancient Town, Old Town, Hội An, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam

First up – a local bakery that has been making the tastiest banh mi in town for over 20 years. They use the freshest local ingredients and are famous for their banh mi, a scrumptious sandwich that will fire up your taste buds and get them ready for the flavours ahead!

From one local fave to another, next we’ll join locals at a small eatery, taking a seat on the ubiquitous small plastic chairs and sampling tasty BBQ pork rolled with rice paper and fresh herbs. Served with typical soya dipping sauce, this dish is one of the highlights of the local food scene and an absolute must-devour.

Our food tour of Hoi An continues into the atmospheric heart of the city as we head straight for the central market. What awaits us there are hundreds of street hawkers and food stalls selling a staggering array of local produce, including fresh noodles, sweet jelly, seasonal fruits, and live seafood. Your knowledgeable local guide will walk you through the colourful array of ingredients, filling you in on the most popular dishes in Hoi An and the significance of these foods to the traditional culture of central Vietnam.

From here, we’ll dig even deeper into the local food scene, passing through a maze of tiny alleys to emerge at one of our fave (secret) restaurants in Hoi An, where we’ll sample two of Hoi An’s specialties: deep fried wonton and white rose dumplings.

Believe it or not, there’s more food to come! Our Hoi An food tour continues to a street vendor where a plate of chicken rice awaits. Be sure to save space, though, as we still have yet another treat in store for dessert.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Japanese Covered Bridge, Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, Phường Minh An, Hội An, Quảng Nam 564010, Vietnam

We’ll finish our Hoi An food adventure at a local café near the iconic Japanese covered bridge, which is the perfect spot to conclude our culinary escapades. Top off the tour with a Vietnamese coffee or beer, take in the gentle pace of our beloved Hoi An, and reflect on your fave dishes of the evening (if you can pick!).

An excellent way to see parts of Hoi An you probably wouldn't wander into on your own visiting a number of family run food businesses as well as sampling a wide range of local food. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to expand information in response to questions. Great small group tour. Warning - have a small lunch as you certainly get your monies worth in terms of food quantity!

we had a great night on this food tour - we visited 6 or 7 food outlets around HOI AN old town - our guide was informative and took us to several areas we hadn't ventured. the other guests made for a fun experience and would definitely recommend. - item to note - no need to buy "old town" entry ticket before the tour.

We went to many "off the grid" places you would never find on your own. Go on one of your first nights in town because you will find places you will want to return. Expert guidance and a good pace.

This was so much fun! Our guide spoke English well and shared a lot of information about the town, the country, and the food we were enjoying. I wish I could remember her name so I could recommend her specifically. We had plenty of food without getting stuffed, and all of it was tasty. The pace was good as was the food. Our guide was very patient with those wanting to take pictures and helped direct everyone back to their hotel at the end of the tour. Highly recommended.

We had a lot of fun on this tour experiencing various different foods available in Hoi An. The market had to be a highlight for us, although I always love Banh Xi. Lots of different types of food, beautiful views and interesting lessons about how the food is prepared - definitely recommended!

This was a great experience! We wanted to taste some street food and felt this was the safest way to do it. The Vietnamese rolls were the best I have tasted. Great value tour!

Remember 2 buy old town ticket before tour. You can use the 5 entry vouchers anytimemail, it's well worth visiting some of the old residences ano meeting places. 8 English speakers in our tour with a good guide and about 5 different stops trying local food. An enjoyable couple of hours and time afterwards to chat over a beer on the waterfront. We ate at places we probably wouldn't have tried but they were all good and had reserved seats for us.

We had a very enjoyable evening with our Guide Thi Bong Pham. We enjoyed the sites and tried places to eat that we would not have found or ventured on our own. The food was very authentic Vietnamese, very tasty and of a lot of different varieties and venues. We also got to enjoy various areas of the old quarter that we would not have explored on our own. They catered to our dietary requirements. Don't hesitate to try the adventure.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our foodie tour with Vu. He was a very knowledgeable guide with good English and gave us an excellent insight to the Vietnamese people and their culture. We liked being part of a group and sharing stories amongst each other. Each food stop was a different experience and we would never have tried some of the dishes or found the restaurants down dark alleys on our own. Finishing up at the river was a great way to end a great experience. As another reviewer pointed out, it would be helpful to be given a list and addresses of each place visited on the night so we could find them again another time. Arrive hungry and enjoy!

Great value for money sampling some of the culinary delights that hoi an has to offer. The guide was informative and it was great to be taken off the beaten track.

Great host! Really took care of everyone. The food selection was nice and they were all dishes that are special in Hoi An. The only tiny thing they could improve on is maybe give the guests a list of the names of the restaurants they have visited. We wanted to go back to the same place for dinner the next day but could not because there was no way we could remember how to get there, with so many bends and alleys. All in all, really good for value and a fun experience!

This was an extremely good value for money trip that gave an interesting and enjoyable insight into Vietnamese food. We visited several local places and had the chance to sample many different dishes that were all excellent. Many of the places were off the main street and we would not have found them without our excellent tour guide, who gave a great insight into local cooking methods and tasty dishes. we had plenty to eat on the tour and did not need to eat out at the end of the night as we were both full after sampling some great local dishes.
