We want to ensure you to enjoy your tour to the fullest, so we ask you to take a moment to read through the following information and make sure you are fully aware of the style of tour you will be joining. An ‘On The Go’ tour in general can be quite demanding and there are risks and hazards which are inherent on such tours. Long travel days can sometimes be uncomfortable and tiring, and many places we visit are off the beaten track therefore do not have the infrastructure or sophisticated medical facilities we are accustomed to in western society.
You will have the opportunity to take part in many exciting activities and excursions, some of which are included whilst others are optional and require a certain level of fitness, so it is important that you read through the Trip Notes thoroughly and make your own conclusion as to whether you feel that you are fit and able enough to enjoy your tour. All travelers may be required to carry their own luggage throughout the tour, lift it into storage areas on trains or buses, get on and off public transport or, if on an Africa Overland trip, be able to manage the steps on and off the overland truck. Weather conditions in certain areas can also make physical activity more challenging. This also applies when travelling on a tour visiting destinations at high altitude. For each of our group tours, detailed information on all tour arrangements and activities can be found in your tour Trip Notes, available from our website or your travel consultant.
