You’ll climb Dune 45 at dawn, roam the salt pans of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, and join a guided walk to uncover the Namib’s clever desert dwellers. Coastal time in Swakopmund leads to the Skeleton Coast and the Cape Cross seal colony, with the chance to meet Himba communities inland. Itinerary
Day 1 - Windhoek - Windhoek City
Arrive at Windhoek International Airport, where we meet you and transfer into Windhoek – a short drive – before checking in to your hotel. You can settle in and unwind for the night.
Day 2 - Windhoek - Sesriem - Namib-Naukluft National Park
We leave Windhoek and drive south through wide desert landscapes towards Sesriem, passing rugged mountains and Namibia’s vast horizons. Entering Namib–Naukluft National Park, we are greeted by towering dunes, dramatic vistas and broad salt pans. We settle into our Sesriem campsite inside the park – you have time to embrace the desert stillness and prepare for tomorrow’s early start in the dunes.
Day 3 - Sossusvlei - Sossusvlei & Deadvlei - Bushman’s Camp
At first light we climb iconic Dune 45, pausing on the ridge for sweeping views across the Namib Desert before descending for breakfast. We continue by 4x4 deeper into Sossusvlei to explore ancient pans and the stark beauty of Deadvlei, where pale clay, orange sand and skeletal trees create striking contrasts. After a scenic day, we return to Bushman’s Camp to unwind – you can savour the quiet and rest beneath the Namibian night sky.
Day 4 - Namib Desert - Swakopmund
We join a guided walk in the Namib Desert to discover remarkable desert–adapted life and how the smallest creatures endure this harsh environment. We then drive to the Atlantic coast and arrive in Swakopmund – a welcome drop in temperature and a refreshing change of scenery. This evening is free – you can wander the streets, relax in cafés or stroll along the beach.
Day 5 - Swakopmund
In Swakopmund, a German–influenced seaside resort, you have a free evening to explore at your own pace – stroll the streets, linger in cafés or enjoy an unhurried walk along the beach.
Day 6 - Swakopmund
Another unhurried evening in Swakopmund – you can wander the town, sample its cafés and take a leisurely beachside stroll.
Day 7 - Swakopmund - Cape Cross - Desert Camp
We travel north along the Skeleton Coast towards Cape Cross, with dramatic desert–meets–ocean scenery unfolding en route. At the Cape Cross Seal Reserve we follow viewing platforms to observe and photograph thousands of lively Cape fur seals. We then head inland to a remote desert campsite that supports the local Himba community, offering a genuine glimpse of life in northern Namibia. Settle in and relax amid the quiet desert surroundings – you may choose to join optional cultural visits on site.
Day 8 - Desert Camp - Etosha National Park
We continue north to Etosha National Park, arriving in the afternoon. As dusk approaches, we set out on an evening game drive in search of elephants, lions and other wildlife, then visit a floodlit waterhole for memorable after–dark viewing.
Day 9 - Etosha National Park - Etosha - Namutoni Camp
We spend the day exploring Etosha’s waterholes and wildlife–rich plains, watching for large herds and predators. We travel across the park towards the Namutoni area, passing open grasslands and game–rich areas along the way.
Day 10 - Etosha - Rundu - Okavango River
Leaving Etosha, we travel north towards Rundu near the Angolan border, with scenery shifting as we follow the Okavango River region. We board a boat to explore the Okavango floodplain – a relaxed cruise with time to take in river views while we watch for birds and other wildlife as the sun sets.
Day 11 - Rundu - Ngepi Camp
We drive from Rundu along the Okavango River into the Caprivi Strip, arriving at Ngepi for a riverside camping experience. We settle into Ngepi Camp on the banks of the Okavango and soak up the tranquil riverfront setting – you can unwind at your own pace beside the water.
Day 12 - Okavango Delta
Enjoy a full day at leisure beside the Okavango River – you can join optional river–based safaris or simply relax by the water.
Day 13 - Kasane
We cross from Namibia into Botswana and continue to Kasane on the Chobe River, near Chobe National Park renowned for its large elephant herds. In the evening we board a Chobe River cruise, gliding past the banks where elephants, buffalo and other wildlife gather as the sun sets – an ideal time for photographs.
Day 14 - Chobe (Kasane)
We cross from Botswana into Zimbabwe and continue to Victoria Falls town, gateway to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. We visit Victoria Falls, walking rainforest pathways to viewpoints where we can feel the cool spray and hear the thunderous roar, before checking in to our lodge nearby.
Day 15 - Victoria Falls
We transfer you from your hotel to Victoria Falls International Airport for your departure flight – your tour concludes here.
