Itinerary
Day 1 - Dubrovnik
Arrive at Dubrovnik Airport where our local representative will welcome you, assist with your car hire, and provide guidance for your departure day. Drive to your hotel and settle in before beginning to explore Dubrovnik’s remarkable old town. Wander through its historic streets within the impressive medieval walls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its palaces, churches and fortifications. We recommend joining our optional guided sightseeing tour to uncover the city’s rich history and architectural treasures. Fans of Game of Thrones may wish to take the special tour that includes Fortress Lovrijenac—the Red Keep—and key filming locations such as King’s Landing and the House of the Undying. You can also enjoy a boat trip to the nearby island of Lokrum, known for its botanical gardens and peacocks, and learn about its historical significance. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 2 - Dubrovnik - Split - Trogir - Podstrana
After breakfast, we depart for Trogir, enjoying scenic views en route to one of Croatia’s most charming towns. Upon arrival, you can explore the compact old town on foot, wandering through narrow alleys and discovering its key landmarks. The historic centre is centred around the impressive Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the fourth century. We recommend joining a sightseeing tour to fully appreciate the town’s rich heritage and architecture. In the evening, we continue to Split or the nearby Trogir or Podstrana area for your overnight stay.
Day 3 - Split - Trogir - Podstrana
After breakfast, we set off along the coast, enjoying spectacular panoramic views of Cetina Canyon. We stop in Omiš, a town with a rich history of piracy, where you can explore medieval fortresses such as the 13th-century Mirabella Fortress and the 15th-century Starigrad Fortress (Fortica). Omiš also offers a lovely sandy public beach, lined with restaurants and cafés. Later, we visit Trogir, a small coastal town renowned for its medieval palaces, churches and squares. Its impressive collection of Romanesque and Renaissance architecture earned it UNESCO World Heritage status in 1997. Alternatively, you may choose to join our two-hour guided tour of Split and Trogir to uncover hidden gems with a private guide. We stay overnight in the Split, Trogir or Podstrana area.
Day 4 - Split - Trogir - Podstrana - Biograd na Moru
After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Šibenik and Biograd na Moru, ideal gateways to the Paklenica and Krka National Parks. We explore the stunning landscapes and waterfalls of Krka National Park and recommend hiking in Paklenica National Park to experience its natural beauty firsthand. Upon arrival in Biograd na Moru, check in to your hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure wandering this charming “White City by the Sea,” browsing its shops and enjoying the variety of restaurants along the harbour. Overnight in Biograd na Moru.
Day 5 - Biograd na Moru
After breakfast, set out to explore the medieval town of Šibenik and the coastal resort of Biograd na Moru. Alternatively, you may choose to visit one of the stunning national parks nearby—Paklenica, Kornati, or Telašćica—each offering unique natural beauty. For a more guided experience, you can book our optional three-hour tour of Krka National Park, where a private guide will lead you through its remarkable landscapes and waterfalls (entrance fee payable locally). Return to Biograd na Moru for your overnight stay.
Day 6 - Biograd na Moru
After breakfast, continue your journey by driving to Zadar, where you can explore the historic old town featuring Roman ruins, medieval churches, lively cafés and well-curated museums. We offer an optional guided tour to help you discover the town’s highlights. Alternatively, you may prefer to relax on the beach, soaking up the Croatian sunshine either in Biograd na Moru or Zadar. Overnight accommodation is in Biograd na Moru.
Day 7 - Biograd na Moru - Dubrovnik
After breakfast and checking out, continue your drive along the stunning Adriatic coastline towards Dubrovnik. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you pass through charming coastal villages. Upon arrival in Dubrovnik, take time to wander the streets and soak up the Mediterranean ambience—perhaps enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or relax with a coffee on a stylish terrace. Alternatively, you may choose to join our two-hour guided tour of Dubrovnik’s old town, where a private guide will reveal the city’s rich medieval history. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
