Day 2 - Copenhagen
This morning we take a panoramic tour with a local guide of Denmark’s capital, celebrated for quality of life, sustainability and vibrant culture. Travelling by coach and on foot, we see the Little Mermaid, Nyhavn’s colourful harbourfront, the exterior of Amalienborg Palace, Town Hall Square and the Tivoli area. You have the afternoon free.
Day 3 - Copenhagen - Jönköping - Vadstena - Stockholm
We depart for Elsinore, Hamlet’s city, to view the majestic Kronborg Castle. We then sail on a short ferry to Sweden – around 20 minutes – and continue past vast lakes and lush forests to Jönköping, a compact modern city beside a large lake, where you have time to wander and enjoy lunch. We continue to Vadstena, a picturesque lakeside town known for its old houses and a grand castle dating from the 14th century that was later converted into a monastery. We then continue to Stockholm, arriving in the evening – a beautiful city set in the Baltic archipelago, linked by numerous bridges and ferries, with rich history and striking architecture.
Day 4 - Stockholm
Today we embark on a panoramic tour of Stockholm, a capital spread across 14 interlinked islands. We visit Gamla Stan – the city between bridges – the lively old quarter with monumental buildings including the Nobel Prize Museum by Stortorget, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. When conditions allow, we take in the views from the Fjällgatan viewpoint. Afterwards you have leisure time to explore – you may wish to visit museums and parks, and you can also choose to visit City Hall and the Vasa Museum.
Day 5 - Stockholm
After breakfast, our journey comes to an end – leaving you with wonderful memories.
