Channel Islands Walking Adventure

Arrival in Jersey – private transfer from the airport to your hotel. After settling in, you can stroll around St Helier’s harbours, taking in the history that shaped both the old and new quays and the views across to Fort Regent and Elizabeth Castle. If you fancy a first stretch of the legs, you can take an optional walk on the wild north coast around Saint John’s Church, reaching Les Platons – the highest point in the Channel Islands – and the secluded bays of Bonne Nuit Bay and Boulay Bay. This morning we follow the southern coast towards Pointe de Corbière and its lighthouse, tracing the immense sandy sweep of Saint-Brelade before continuing to Noirmont Point to see fortifications from the Second World War, and finishing at Saint-Aubin – a charming fishing village with a broad sandy bay. Today we walk the north west coastal path from Saint John’s Church to L’Etacq along a rugged shoreline, reaching Greve de Lecq – one of the island’s most captivating bays – and finishing by the rocky Pinnacle needle. Overnight at Hotel de France in St Helier – breakfast included.

We transfer to the harbour and sail to Guernsey, arriving in St Peter Port with its scenic harbour and historic gardens. Depending on arrival time, you can walk from Jerbourg Point along the south and up the east coast towards St Peter Port, taking in Fermain Bay and Bluebell Wood – a dense, wild woodland with vibrant colours – and superb ocean views. Overnight at Hotel La Fregate in St Peter Port – breakfast included.

Today we board the boat to Sark – a car free island of unspoilt landscapes – and walk from Big Sark to Little Sark across the Coupée, a spectacular rocky ridge above the sea, before returning by boat to Guernsey. Overnight at Hotel La Fregate in St Peter Port – breakfast included.

From Icart Point we head west along the dramatic cliff path – coves, beaches, wild headlands and a moorland plateau of heather and gorse accompany us – and on a clear day we can look across to the French coast as we enjoy far-reaching views over the ocean and cliffs. We transfer from your hotel to Guernsey airport. If you wish to extend your time, you can add an extra night in Jersey or Guernsey to explore another island – Herm.
