Day 1 - Paris
Welcome to Paris. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel, where you will have some free time to settle in and relax. Later this afternoon, you will receive information about the start of your tour, either in person or through details posted at the hotel reception. This gives you the chance to familiarise yourself with the itinerary at your own pace before the adventure begins.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Paris
We begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, renowned for its impressive gardens and rich history as a symbol of French royalty (admission not included). Returning to Paris, we explore Montmartre, a distinctive bohemian district famous for its artistic heritage, charming streets, and vibrant cabarets. To complete the day, we take a panoramic city tour with a local guide, discovering Paris’s grand avenues and iconic landmarks. Afterwards, we return to the hotel. In the evening, you may choose to attend an optional variety show.
Day 3 - Paris - Rouen
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we’ll take you up to the second floor—tickets are included. Following this, we’ll enjoy a leisurely boat cruise along the Seine, offering a fresh perspective of the city's landmarks from the water. You’ll then have the afternoon at your leisure to explore Paris as you wish. At around 4:00 p.m., we’ll depart for Normandy and arrive in Rouen. Here, you’ll have free time to explore the historic centre, known for its medieval architecture and the impressive Gothic cathedral, reflecting the city’s rich history dating back to Roman times. Please note that if queues at the Eiffel Tower are long, we may reschedule the visit to a later time or to Sunday to ensure the best experience.
Day 4 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
Today begins with a leisurely stroll through the historic centre of Rouen, renowned for its medieval architecture and vibrant atmosphere. We then travel north through France to the coast, where we board a ferry crossing the English Channel. Upon arrival in England, we visit Canterbury, noted for its charming medieval streets and status as the country’s religious heart. Our journey continues to London, where you’ll have some free time around the Tower Bridge area—one of the city’s most recognised landmarks—before we settle in at the hotel for the evening.
Day 5 - London
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of London led by a local guide, who will introduce you to the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. You’ll see iconic landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace, where there may be an opportunity to witness the Changing of the Guard, subject to the schedule. In the evening, we’ll gather at Piccadilly to walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho — areas known for their lively atmosphere, theatres, and entertainment. You’ll have plenty of choices for dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 6 - London - Colchester - Colchester - Volendam Ferry
We begin the day with a visit to the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest and most comprehensive museums, where we explore artefacts from a wide range of cultures and historical periods. After some free time for lunch, we head to Camden, famous for its vibrant and eclectic street market. Here, you can browse unique items from around the world and enjoy lunch at one of the many food stalls or small restaurants. In the late afternoon, we depart for Colchester, England’s oldest recorded town, where we take a leisurely stroll through the historic streets. We then continue to Harwich to board the ferry for an overnight crossing to the Netherlands, staying in en suite cabins. Please note that due to limited cabin availability, the itinerary may be adjusted, with possible alternatives including daytime ferry travel to Amsterdam via Antwerp with an overnight stay, or travel by train or flight.
Day 7 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We arrive in the Netherlands at Hoek van Holland around 8:00 a.m. and visit the picturesque fishing village of Volendam, known for its traditional charm. Afterwards, we travel to Amsterdam for a guided tour highlighting key sights: the iconic windmill and Rembrandt statue, the modern elegance of the South District, and the historic diamond-cutting industry at Museum Square. The tour concludes in the heart of Amsterdam, where we disembark and you will have free time to explore at your leisure.
Day 8 - Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin
We depart from Amsterdam and travel into Germany, stopping first in Hamelin, a charming town known for its connections to the Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the Pied Piper. Here, you can explore its quaint streets and shops. Continuing on, we pass through Marienborn, the former border crossing between East and West Germany until reunification in 1990. We arrive in Berlin in the evening, where your evening is at leisure.
Day 9 - Berlin
We begin the day with a guided tour of Berlin, the remarkable capital of Germany. From the coach, we’ll pass key sights including Museum Island, the Television Tower, the city centre’s main shopping streets, the ruins of the old cathedral destroyed during World War II, Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and some of Berlin’s extensive parks. We’ll pause to visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum—two significant landmarks reflecting Germany’s turbulent 20th-century history. The afternoon is yours to explore Berlin at leisure. Early evening, we’ll transfer you to the vibrant Kantstrasse area to enjoy the local atmosphere.
Day 10 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
We’ll travel through forested landscapes en route to Dresden, a city celebrated for its outstanding architectural and artistic heritage. You’ll have time to explore some of its impressive palaces and enjoy lunch at one of the many local restaurants or cafés. Later, we’ll continue to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. We’ll take you to the lively Old Town Square, a bustling area perfect for your first encounter with the city’s atmosphere. You’ll find a wide range of dining options nearby, offering Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian cuisine. Afterwards, we’ll return to the hotel for the night.
Day 11 - Prague
We begin the day exploring Prague, one of Europe’s finest examples of Baroque architecture. With a local guide, we take a panoramic tour of the city’s most remarkable landmarks, including a visit to Prague Castle, where admission is included. Following the castle, we enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Vltava River, offering a unique perspective of the city’s skyline. In the afternoon, you have free time to wander and discover Prague at your own pace.
Day 12 - Prague - Pilsen - Rothenburg - Frankfurt
We depart early from Prague and travel to Pilsen in western Bohemia, known worldwide for its beer. You’ll have time to explore the historic centre, including the Old Town Square, cathedral, Plague Column, and the Renaissance-era town hall. Crossing into Germany, we follow part of the Romantic Road to Rothenburg, a picturesque town often described as a fairy-tale village and one of the most beautiful in the country. Later, we continue to Frankfurt, Germany’s financial hub. Upon arrival in the evening, you’ll have free time to enjoy the historic city centre, with its diverse range of restaurants offering Indian, Asian, Italian, and international cuisine.
Day 13 - Frankfurt
After breakfast, our tour concludes in Frankfurt. You will have time to reflect on your journey and prepare for your onward plans, taking with you lasting memories of the places and experiences encountered along the way.
